We have numbers as soon as they come out. Ford cfo bob shanks will break it down for us. Back to the markets. The dow staging a major come back this afternoon. Lets go right to Nicole Petallides on floor of the new york stock exchange. Nicole, what are traders saying about this huge move today . We did have a big move. At the top we were up 180 points. Down we were down over 103 points. We had a big swing. It was solid day, up across the board with all the sectors with the exception of airlines. People are starting to take some profit, to in particular. Names that hit alltime highs today. Google, also microsoft, facebook, they started to take those off the table. We saw financials turn into the red. Just sort of this back and forth action. Yesterday we went over unchanged line on the dow 98 times. There is obviously some treading water in these levels. We have an up arrow here from the dow, 41 points, a record close for the dow. Nasdaq and s p hit record highs. Will it come under pressure again with general electric. So many concern about general electric. Now they have the sec looking at insurance charge of 10 billion. A loss there, a miss on the quarter. Stocks down 2. 6 . Down about 45 in a year. Airlines, i mentioned airlines. This is one group that never got out of the gate today. That is because of ual. When you look at United Continental, this stock tanked 11 1 2 . This is really capacity of the group Going Forward. Wasnt latest quarter but the outlook. It crushed not only United Continental but the entire group. Alaska down 6 . American, delta, all got hit hard, six and 5 . Tough day for the airlines. Back to you. Melissa seriously, they got hammered. Nicole, thank you. David another busy day with at the white house. President Trump Holding a meeting with mayors ahead of his trip to the Economic Forum in davos, switzerland, where he is expected to push his America First but not alone agenda forward. Blake burman is live in switzerland. What can you tell us beside they got record snow there . Reporter and it is cold too, i can tell you that. 10 00 tonight here in davos, david, the president will leave washington, four, five hours from now. Land here tomorrow morning, when he does it will be a full schedule. Four different bilateral meetings. Among the meetings, israeli Prime Minister enbenjamin netanyahu, potentially the president s biggest ally on the world stage, along with theresa may, the british Prime Minister. He will meet with the president of rwanda and leader of the host country, the president of switzerland. Right now back in washington the president is meeting with mayors. This is with mayors across all the country. This is meeting supposed to focus and is focusing on infrastructure but has taken on a david im sorry to interrupt you there, blake, but we do have tape playback from the president at that mayors conference. Lets listen. Brilliant people in this room. I know so much about being a mayor, very good friend of mine, dane maxwell, where is dane . Stand up, dane. Weve been together a long time, dane. Thank you very much for being here. It is a great place. Mississippi is special. We had a good time on november 8th in mississippi, right . Betsy price. Betsy . Thank you, betsy. Thank you for being here, thank you very much. Really two fantastic friends of mine for a long time. Tony harp . Where is tony . Tony. Tony . Uhoh. Cant be a sanctuary city person, i know. [laughter]. That is not possible, is it . I want to just say, well start by saying, as you know the department of justice today is announced a critical legal step to hold accountable sanctuary cities that violate federal law an free criminal aliens back into our communities. We cant have that. Cant have it. Very easy to got other way but we cant have it. We want a safe country. It is getting safer all the time. Sanctuary cities are the best friend of gangs and cartels. Like ms13. You know that. The result in the death rate around sanctuary cities in and around for innocent americans is unacceptable. Take a look at what happened in San Francisco and kate steinle. And countless others. My administration is committed to protecting innocent americans and the mayors who choose to boycott this event have put the needs of criminal Illegal Immigrants oaf lawabiding americans. Let me tell you the vast majority of people showed up, okay . The vast majority. [applause] because the vast majority believe in safety for your city. I want to thank all of you for being here. Im thrilled to welcome dozens of mayors across the country to the white house. And i worked with so many of you, some in the private sector. Who knew i was going to be here . But it happened, right . Kellyanne, my star kellyanne, stand up, kellyanne. She is more famous than i am. [applause] thanks, kellyanne, great. You bring safety, prosperity and hope to our citizens. My admin operation will always support local government and listen to leaders who know their communities best. And you know your community best. We believe in local government. We believe in empowering each and everyone of you, together, we are achieving absolutely incredible results. We have created nearly 2. 4 million jobs since the election. Nobody thought that was going to be happening. [applause] right . The Unemployment Rate is at now an 18year low. Africanamerican unemployment, im very proud of this, remember i used to say, what do you have to lose . And people said, i dont know if that is nice thing to say. I said of course it is. For 100 years the democratic mayors have done a terrible, i mean they have done some bad work. I said, what did you have to lose . Africanamerican unemployment is at its lowest late ever recorded. Thats not bad. [applause] unemployment for women is at its lowest rate in 17 years. That is going to be a very new standard very soon. [applause] hispanicamerican unemployment like africanamerican unemployment is at the lowest rate ever recorded. That is a long time. [applause] heres the good news. It is getting better. It is going to get better. Weve cut more regulations than any administration in history by far. And we have been really doing the cutting for about 10 months, even though we have been here now for 12. We started a little bit late, although the first day we did some pretty big cutting, i will say. As you know, just before christmas we passed massive tax cuts and reforms so that more businesses will come back to your cities and towns, and working families will finally get the pay raises that they have been waiting for for many, many years in some cases. Our tax plan creates opportunities. Some of you take advantage of this to encourage investment in distressed communities, create more jobs, bring main street booming back to life. More than two million American Workers have already received tax cut bonuses from their employers all because of our incredible tax cut bill, and i must tell you, this has worked far greater because nobody thought in terms of companies coming out paying 1000, 2000, 2500 per employee. They have hundreds of thousands of employees in some cases. The ones are not getting it, theyre not getting it, what about us . Theyre at a point saying what about us . We know that feeling. It really turned out. Nobody thought that, as much as we thought. As much as we had a lost a lot of brilliant mind around the tax bill, nobody thought would a company step up. At t started it. A couple of others picked up very quickly, comcast and some others, they picked it up. Then it became an avalanche. Kellyanne, we never used to talk about that because it really wasnt in the realm of thinking, and it turned out to be really an avalanche and it has been a beautiful thing to watch, people are walking away with 1000 and 2000 and much more. Were also working to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure by stimulating a one trillion dollar investment and that will actual probably end up being about 1. 7 trillion. [applause] you like that . I can tell we have mayors in the room. Thats good. Thats good. Only mayors could be that excited. Only mayors and workers, it is about jobs, right, would be that excited. Well put that in a week or two right after the state of the union address. Well talk a little bit about it in the state of the union. Well put that in. One of the other things, i have to say apple, 350 billiondollar investment. And i spoke to tim cook and, you probably heard me on the trail, i say i will not consider this job complete and great in terms of the economics and the economy unless apple some day starts building some plants in our country, and what happened is, they said 350 billion, when i first heard it, tim cook and i spoke, but when i first heard it, i guess they mean 350 million, because that is a big plant. 350, you can build a lot of plant but they said, no, sir, 350 billion and much of that comes from overseas. They will bring it back because of the tax bill. Because we made it possible for them to bring it back. [applause] and theyre investing a lot of money over and about that. So it is 350 billion, and thousands and thousands of new jobs. They will build incredible campus. It will be something special. We work with congress to cut down the approval and permitting process so that it takes no longer than two years, instead on average of 10 to 12 to 17 years to build a simple road. [applause] a road in a certain location, i wont mention the state, although i happen to like the state very much, it has been underapproval 17 years. They have been planning it for 17 years and it was a straight, nothing road. Now it has lots of curves because we have to miss the nests and everything else. Curves are not good on roads. Roads are like straight, and it was 17 years ago going to cost virtually nothing. It ends up being hundreds of millions of dollars. It was recently come pleated. Everybody says, youre kidding. It is 10year process. We like to bring it down to two years but average of one year. If you dont want to let a highway built, well let them know quickly. A lot of times you wait 17 years and you get rejected. That is even worse. If youre the builder, that is not good, you devoted a good part of your life to being rejected. That is unfair. You may get rejected but you will get rejected quickly, okay . That is not bad. But most of you, we saw what you did with the pipeline, 48,000 jobs immediately as soon as i came into office, we approved it. 48,000 jobs. Were partnering with the state and local governments like yours to find the most innovative ways to rebuild our roads, bridges, waterways and airports, very important words, on time and under budget. Have you heard those words before . [applause] you dont hear them too much in government, right . And a lot of that is the bidding process. You will take care of your bidding processes, but the bidding process is a very big factor in that. Some of the way they bid in cities and states and i can tell you, in our military, the process, it is not even bidding, really, give somebody a contract to steal. We dont want to do that. Were supporting our local police, beyond what weve ever done. [applause] and great and fire departments. Were also getting you a lot of our excess military equipment. You know all about that. Previous administrations but in particular on the previous administration, they didnt like to do that and some day they will explain why but we had a lot of excess military equipment. Were sending it to your police as they need it, and it made a tremendous difference. We believe every child deserves to live in a safe home, attend a great school and look forward to be amazing and very, very safe future. So youre getting a lot of equipment. [applause] together, just in summing up, we are restoring pride in the American Worker and faith in the american dream. They are dreaming again. Its a good thing. Theyre especially dreaming opening up their 401 k s, and they say theyre up 44 , okay . They feel very brilliant about their investment strategy. [applause] i told you the story, but i have said it numerous times, i like to tell it about people that come to me all the time, they say thank you so much. Im up 42 . Im up 48 . Im up 37 . My wife and my husband think im a total ingenius as investor. Dont worry about it. Just keep it. I will say this, the wrong person came into this office, you wouldnt only be even, and you wouldnt be up, i think it is now 42. 5 , and market is up again but 42. 5 since election. You would be down 30 to 40 . And that is what was happening you take a look at your gdp then and what happens now. Well have three quarters in a row over three. We had 3. 2. A lot of people thought it would take two or three years to get there. And were going to be hitting four soon. Then well be hitting fives. You will see a big difference. [applause] and each point, remember this, so you go up, people say, oh be whats the big deal . Between 2 1 2 and 3 1 2. Ill tell you, you had the slowest recovery in history, slowest recovery in history. You look at average, 1. 7 or 1. 8 average in eight years. One point is 2. 5 trillion, one point, 2. 5 trillion, and it means 10 million jobs. Other than that it is not a big deal, okay but its literally 2 1 2 trillion dollars to the country. Weve gained in market value in the stock market 8 trillion since election day. I mean that is something, that is pretty amazing. 8 trillion. And set every record in doing it. Most days where we had new records. You know our stock market i think since election was 82 or 84 times we set a new record for the stock market. It is going to continue folks, because we have a long way to go. We have actually a lot of regulationcutting to do. You know better than anybody we need regulation but you dont need 17 different approvals from 17 different agencies on the same subject and were doing that and it really has been beautiful to watch but we actually have a long way to go, believe it or not, because weve got engreat credit for regulations. I think the regulations may be more important than the tax cuts. I had businesses call me, we love the tax cuts, sir well spend a lot of money, but sir, the regulation cutting you have done might be more important. Im sure youre seeing Something Like that. I want to thank you all for joining us with this Great National effort. Thank you for your leadership. You truly are great leaders and important leaders. Friendship and partnership and together we will usher in a bold new era of peace and prosperity. Were doing great. Im going to davos right now to get people to invest in the United States. Going to say come into the United States. You have plenty of money, but i dont think i have to go because theyre coming. Theyre coming, at very, very fast clip. So it is going to be an interesting time, but theyre coming back to this country. You saw that we have chrysler leaving mexico. We like mexico. Coming into michigan. Do we like that . Nobodys seen that in a long time. [applause] we have other major car companies. You saw toyota and some others, theyre coming back into the United States. Theyre building big plants. All it means to me is money for our people, lower taxes, and what it really means is jobs. So people have not seen this in decades. And i think in the end they will never have seen anything like what is happening with our country. So, again i would like to thank you all. Youre very, have he important important to the future of this country. And some great friend, and great people and i know you very well and thank you very much and i appreciate it. Youve all been fantastic. Thank you all. Thank you for your time. [applause] david since this is play back, he is asked questions but he doesnt answer any of the questions. He was talking up his first year in office, then talking down those sanctuary cities as meets with mayors from across the country who are be strucking the federal governments attempt to arrest those Illegal Immigrants who are accused of crimes beyond theyre being Illegal Immigrants. Here to react to all this is ken paxton, he is the attorney general for the state of texas. General, at the beginning of that talk the president alluded to several mayors that backed out of the conference including the mayor of new york city where i live, mayor de blasio, mayor de blasio. De blasio came out with a statement. He is grandstanding. He is running for president in 2020. Here is what de blasio said. I will not attend todays meeting at white house after Donald Trumps department of justice decide to renew their racist assault on our immigrant communities. It doesnt make us safer and violates americas core values. He is talking about the Justice Department saying they will get back at those cities who are obstructing the federal governments attempts to arrest Illegal Immigrants who are committing crimes. As a new york city resident, i got to tell you makes me a little nervous to have my hair say that we would be safer if Illegal Immigrants who commit felonies are free to roam the streets . First of all his loss for not showing up. It is unexplainable to me how you make that argument given fact were talking about illegals who committed crime. What benefit to you for new york city to have those people stay in your city . I never heard an argument that makes any sense that is benefit to anybody in that city. David now the last time i remember states taking on the federal government was over the issue of desegregation and as i remember, the states lost that one, big time, back in the 1960s. Do you think they will lose this time, the states and cities that call themselves sanctuaries . Well look in this case what were talking about is federal funding and there are strings attached. The strings are pretty simple. You need to cooperate with Law Enforcement as it relates to deporting these illegals. So it is statutory. It is law. So if theyre going to take this money, they should not be surprised that theyre going to be required to follow the law. I dont understand the argument. Doesnt make a lot of sense given what the law requires. David one of your fellow attorney generals, mr. Becerra, from california has gone one step further. He says he will arrest anybody who cooperates with the federal government with federal agents trying to arrest Illegal Immigrants. He will arrest them on a state level. That is creating a showdown between the federal law and the state law that i dont recall seeing in my lifetime . Well you know, weve had this before. Immigration is controlled by the federal government. We had other states try to do something about immigration and arizona, and always been determined by the courts that the federal government controls this issue. So i dont think the california ag will be successful arresting people that are just following federal law. David but we are facing a showdown because Homeland Security says they will be hiring another couple thousand agents to go after those illegal aliens. Again, not just the dreamers theyre going after or innocent people, it is Illegal Immigrants who are here and then commit crimes. They want to get those people off the streets, deprive them the right to be saved by sanctuary cities, if you will, by hiring more agents will bring this thing to a showdown, again may bring things to the boiling point. You know what . I totally agree with you, but it is about time we have a president who will do something about illegal immigration, especially related to criminals in our country. As i said before, makes little to no sense to allow these people staying in our country. No upside for california to have criminals roaming the streets. Melissa nope. David Texas Attorney general ken paxton, my coanchor chimed in. Says no it doesnt. Have a great day. David you too. Melissa breaking news, ford reporting Fourth Quarter results. Lets go back to be nicole. The stock had been hire, but pulled back a little bit. Earnings per share 39 cents versus estimates of 42 cents. Look at revenue. There was a lot of anticipation they could miss on revenue. In fact it did not. It beat. 41. 3 billion, versus estimates of 36. 99 billion. Melissa breaking earnings news, ford Motor Company reporting Fourth Quarter results the auto giant beat expectations on revenue but missed on earnings per share. Here now bob shanks, ford Motor Company executive Vice President and chief financial officer. A lot of people listening to guidance. If youre watching the stock, maybe investors not too thrilled with the results . What would you say . Well, i would say that we had a challenging year and a challenging quarter, although one where i think we made a lot of progress in the business. The guidance that we provided today is actually consistent with guidance that we provided about a week ago. There is no surprise in terms of the guidance. But overall, i would say, that you know, we had a beer that was, had its challenges that did make its progress. Next career were looking forward to a lot of things well put into place to improve the fitness of the business but choices that we make to move towards realizing our vision being a leader in world of smart vehicles in a smart world. Melissa guidance you put out a couple days ago was significantly lowered which is how your stock really paid the price for that at time. Why is that going on at a time when you see your competitors, like gm, raising their forecasts as a result of change in the tax code . What is different . Why arent you benefiting from that as much . Can you hear us . Hmmm. Seems like were having some audio problems. You know what . Well try to fix that up because i know i want to hair the answer to that question. David i want to hear the answer too. Melissa maybe we take a break, see what we should do. Is that what we should do . David well come back. After we hear from the cfo forward well talk about thousands of fbi cell phones affected by a Technical Glitch. Michael goodwin, New York Post columnist, a scandal beyond the missing texts is brewing at the fbi. You can see the impunity with which theyre acting here. Theyre the fbi. Nobody is ever going to investigate them. Sorry, we are going to start investigating them. O help others. No one thought that they were going to do this before it happened and everyone just did it. I think thats the way that human nature should be looked at. Ill stand by you. Ill stand by you. Wont let nobody hurt you. Ill stand by you. The mountain like i used to. I even accept i have a higher risk of stroke due to afib, a type of irregular heartbeat not caused by a heart valve problem. But whatever trail i take, i go for my best. So if theres Something Better than warfarin, ill go for that too. Eliquis. Eliquis reduced the risk of stroke better than warfarin, plus had less major bleeding than warfarin. Eliquis had both. Dont stop taking eliquis unless your doctor tells you to, as stopping increases your risk of having a stroke. Eliquis can cause serious and in rare cases fatal bleeding. Dont take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. While taking eliquis, you may bruise more easily. And it may take longer than usual for any bleeding to stop. Seek immediate medical care for sudden signs of bleeding, like unusual bruising. Eliquis may increase your bleeding risk if you take certain medicines. Tell your doctor about all planned medical or dental procedures. Im still going for my best. And for eliquis ask your doctor about eliquis. Melissa hopefully we have this working this time, bob shanks, ford Motor Company executive Vice President , chief financial officer. Were talking to him about earnings. Before we were cut off, i was asking why you werent able to raise your outlook by gm had on the back of that change in tax policy . Why arent you seeing the same benefits . Well, we saw benefits from the impact of the Tax Reform Act to the tune of about 400 million in 2017 results. But the reason that there is no change on tax going from 17 to 18, the effective tax rate both in 17 and 18 are 15 or so because our team did a great deal of tax planning in 17 in advance of the Tax Reform Act that gave us very effective lower tax rate. So no change yearoveryear basis. Melissa what is the main obstacle Going Forward that needs to be turned around . Well the main opportunity for us Going Forward is to improve the overall fitness of the business. If you look at results of 2017, we came in with a company that automotive margin of 5 . We target 8 or higher. Clearly, clearly weve got a lot of work to do to improve the overall fitness of the business the thing im happy to report to you a lot of work underway making a lot of progress doing exactly that. Melissa before we leave the tonic of taxes and such, a lot of companies are giving their employees incentives or bonuses based on what happened with tax policy and investment Going Forward. I know that you had said that you werent going to be able to do that. Do you have any plans to do it in the future. Is there any talk about it . Well the first thing i would say is that were going to give our uaw, hourly employees in the u. S. A profitsharing check 7500 this year. We announced that based on results of north america. Weve been doing that quite a long period of time at very, very healthy levels. Were not doing anything further relative to taxes specifically because we got no tax benefit in terms of effect on our cash flow as a result of that. We certainly have benefits but theyre noncash. And so there is no, there is no real reason for to us do anything more than what we already are doing. Melissa i dont want to leave you on that note. Let me ask you really quickly. Are you on track for all electric suv still with 300mile range by 2020 . I had to read that, i wanted to get all those stats right because it sounds fantastic. Yeah. Absolutely. We showed a pretty exciting tease at the detroit show of that, called mach one. Got blood raising for a lot of people. Were very excited about that. Melissa sorry about the technical problems. Bob shanks, thanks for coming on. We appreciate it. David. David big news this morning treasury secretary Steve Mnuchin talking down the dollar this morning from davos, switzerland saying the following, quote, a weaker dollar is good for us as it relates to trade and opportunities. Longer term, the strength of the dollar is reflection of the strength of the u. S. Economy and that it is and will continue to be primary reserve currency. All this news sent dollar plunging but gold soaring. Gold soaring to the highest level in a year. Bring in the panel, Jonathan Hoenig and lanhee chen. Thank you to both for coming in. First of all, jonathan, its a very dangerous thing when a treasury secretary talks down the dollar. There was one famous instant, october 18th, 1987, when treasury secretary, then jim baker and his whole crew talked down the dollar. On october 19th, 1987, the very next day we had a market crash of 22 . David, youre alluding to exactly the right historical precedent here. It should be worrisome. Its a bull market. Stocks are doing very well. Economy is doing very well. Were in uncharted territory in many ways, Federal Reserve notwithstanding, exactly as you said, david, 1987, james baker made comments about the german mark would led their currency appreciate or we would let our dollar devalue. David right. The fact it is depreciating such a rapid value makes folks a little nervous not just about inflation moving forward but about the strength of the u. S. Recovery. David lets be clear what the current treasury secretary mnuchin is trying to do. He is in davos, meeting with a lot of foreign industrial leaders who may want to do business in the United States. If he talks down the dollar, that lowers the cost at which they could buy into the u. S. , maybe, buy a factory here or something. The danger is that it could reignite inflation, particularly since we are beginning to throw these trade sanctions on china which will also raise prices to consumers here . Yeah. I think that is the danger. I think that is why you see the white house now coming out after the secretarys remarks, look, we still believe that the United States dollar should be the reserve currency of the world. We believe in the strength of the dollar, et cetera. You see all the reassuring comments coming from the white house. Secretary ross had reassuring comments as well. I think broader theme here is, this trip to davos for the president is the opportunity to promote his view of foreign policy, his view of trade. David right. To get people to invest in america again ultimately. David lanhee chen, Jonathan Hoenig, good to have you guys here. Thank you very much for being here. Appreciate it. Melissa. Melissa immigration, 15 days left to strike a deal to avoid another shutdown. Can you believe that . David no. Melissa lawmakers are far from a compromise it turns out. Melissa well back to square one on negotiations. President trump lashing out at Chuck Schumer after the top democrat withdrew his offer to fully fund the border wall but with what just 15 days left to get a deal done, Sarah Sanders saying they want to see an immigration package that will fix the major issues. We want to see a legislative package that addresses the four things that weve laid out, that can pass both the house and the senate, and make it to the president s desk so that we can help actually fix our immigration system. Melissa here now is bob cusack, the hill editorinchief. Hmmm. Im not you know, im not feeling inspired by this back and forth. How but . I am in your camp melissa, think about it congress has been debating immigration over a decade and havent been able to get anything done . How can they get something done the next few weeks . It will be really, really difficult. Melissa schumer saying pulling the wall back. What a joke. It was never really there. That is not really significant. At the same time, he did get a beating over what looked like a very tough stand and then crumbled instantly. Yes. Melissa does that help or hurt the negotiation i wonder . Because on one hand they look very weak but on the other hand now it is, it looks embarrassing. So maybe the other side gets angrier . No, i see your line of thinking there. Schumer had a tough week. Melissa yeah. It was his toughest week at democratic leader since taking over for harry reid. Youre right. Whatever the next deal is, i dont think there will be a shutdown in fenn because democrats will not use that playbook again. They have to shift their tactics. Melissa no. The daca deadline is in march. Maybe there is one there. Maybe you get a deal out of the senate on immigration but with the Freedom Caucus and paul ryan being in a tough spot that will be really, really difficult for it to pass the house and senate. Melissa it feels like, when we talk to the folks, we have them on, there are two levels here. There is the yip pity yap dog level theyre barking at each other at higher level but the actual senators are meeting and talking act like they are getting something done. Dare i be hopeful . Because the two sides really arent that far apart. No, no. It is both sides are going to have to give a little bit to a lot and depends who will get the better deal. I agree with your point, schumer is really under pressure to get a great deal because he didnt get a good deal and he just took it. That is where i think if you talk about joe manchin, you talk about susan collins, i think they can come up with some type of agreement. There is no way the house just eats what the senate comes up with. The house is trying to pass their own immigration bill, more hardline, more enforcement oriented. I dont think that can get the votes either. This is stalemate mess. That is where it has been a decade plus in congress. Melissa perfect. What we want to here. We can go there fix it in a minute. Very frustrating. But anyway. Thanks, appreciate your time, bob. Thanks. David new york minute. That is the key phrase. A washington minute is a long minute. New york minute is much quicker. The fbi is under investigation by our next guest anyway who believes there is a massive scandal that is going to lead to historic shakeup at the bureau. Michael goodwin joining us to tell us more next. Aahhh boy. Kind of looks like a monster coming to eat ya. Holy smokes. That is awesome. Strong. You got the basic, and you got the beefy. Melissa new developments on those missing Text Messages from fbi officials peter struck and lisa page, the ones at the center of the controversy over the antitrump bias at the fbi. Federal Law Enforcement telling fox news thousands of fbi cell phones were affected by Technical Glitch that the doj said prevented five months worth of the Text Messages being stored or up loaded to bureaus archive system. David so with that, who knows how deep the bias runs inside of the fbi . Senator ron johnson revealing some damning evidence that fbi employees were organizing to destroy a trump presidency. Take listen. Corruption, more than bias, but corruption at the highest levels of the fbi. That secret society, we have an an enforcement talking about a group that were Holding Secret meetings offsite. There is so much smoke here, so much suspicion. Lets stop there, a secret society. A secret meetings offsite of the Justice Department . Correct. You have an informant saying that . Yes. David next guest writes that evidence suggests that a massive scandal is brewing at the fbi. Joining me Michael Goodwin, New York Post columnist and fox news contributor. Weve got all this evidence, michael, and it seems to indicate that the fbi was being used by the secret society or whatever you want to call it to push a partisan, antitrump, prohillary agenda against the desires of american voters. Is that true . Well, look, i think there is evidence of both. That there is on the clinton investigation, one of these Text Messages from lisa page says essentially, Loretta Lynch knew there would be no charges filed. Now she wrote that long before Hillary Clinton was even interviewed. So how did she know that if the fix wasnt in . And then on the other hand, you have all of this talk of an insurance policy in the event that trump won. David right. You have senator johnsons report of a informant telling them the secret society. You have lots of other Text Messages. I think all of this leads back to james comey. I mean you can not divorce him from, these people are at the top of the food chain in the fbi, strzok and page and, they reference a meeting in mccabes office, the deputy fbi director. David we assume it is mccabe. It is an andy, but the assumption is andy mccabe. These are top agents. These are not people well down in the basement. Theyre probably on the same floor with comey at j. Edgar hoover fbi building. David it is interesting you mention j. Edgar hoover because every generation or so the fbi, because it is such a powerful organization does need a shakeup. There was a time j. Edgar hoover got very full of himself, believed he could do anything, spy on anybody they wanted to. They had to reform themselves then. Then nixon. Every generation, this seems to be one of those moments you have to really shake up the fbi and make them adherable to the rules of law and order that we all have to adhere to. Not only that, they have to be accountable to somebody in the government and that Congress Certainly has that role to play. It is an executive Branch Agency and congress, as the legislative branch has oversight responsibilities. David now the difference about this particular scandal, and again, the fbi has had scandals before, in the past the media has been focusing on the scandals. I hold in my hands here, my printstained hand, three newspapers from the New York Times. Monday, tuesday, and wednesday, with all of this news breaking about the fbi and the scandals and whether they were antitrump and everything, not one word in three days worth of New York Times, not one word about any of this. What does that tell you . Look, as i write in my column today there is no interest among democrats or leftwing media, which the New York Times is the bell cow, about anything that doesnt have to do with russia, russia, russia. Theyre all about mueller are. You notice there were lots of leaks about who mueller is talking to, right . That he talked to sessions. That he interviewed comey, right . All of this comes out, that he wants to interview the president. All of this comes out. I believe orchestrated leaks designed to deflect attention from what is going on at the fbi. David my reason to bring up the times, in the past we have been successful shaking up the fbi when it needed to be shook up because the media was focused on it. Now with the exemption of fox and a couple other outlets like the New York Post, the paper you write for, the public is not getting the news. It thats simple. Right. I think the world has changed, david. I dont think the income times can stop history. They tried to stop donald trump from being elected. They failed. They tried to elect Hillary Clinton. They failed. They tried to stop everything donald trump has done. They failed. He has enormous record of success already. The tax plan, they railed against the tax plan from day one. They will rail against everything he does. They are no longer the gatekeeper they once were, nor the broadcast networks. There is now so much media, so many different outlets people tap into to find the facts, find the truth. I tell people, one thing, read numerous things. So you will get everything. Good point to end on. Good to see you, Michael Goodwin from the New York Post. Melissa . Melissa everyone has been on fake news. Pope francis is weighing in. Sometimes, they just drop in. Obvious. Cme group can help you navigate risks and capture opportunities. We enable you to reach Global Markets and drive forward with broader possibilities. Cme group how the world advances. Pope francis is cob telling me fake news, comparing it to the evil that brought destruction to adam and eve in the garden of eden. Thats pretty series. David it goes back that far . You cant go back any further. Saying quote fake news is a sign of subordinately and hypersensitive attitudes and leads only to the spread of arrogance and hatred. That is the end result of untruth. We need to unmask what could be called the snake tactics used by those who disguise themselves in order to strike at any time and place. The press core was going on about Sarah Huckabee sanders, the president was talking about how fake news was encouraging foreign dictators to talk about fake news but they cant call the pope a foreign dictator. Melissa its funny he makes that comparison its about arrogance and interesting. Sign of the times. That does it for us. David risk and reward starts right now. Liz the president just moments ago at the white house the nations mayor saying he thinks that the list of Companies Giving tax cut deals back to workers that that list will keep on growing. The president saying you know what . Workers at companies not getting anything . Theyre saying quote, hey, what about us . Now more than two reported companies have given tax cut raises, bonuses, and much more. And that 240 number doubled in just tweak two weeks time. Now, Howard Schultz endorsed Hillary Clinton in the last election. Is against tax cuts now correcting the tax cuts why its putting out higher wages and
