Peoples corporation patented the io john peoples and the wall street journal Fox News Contributor mary kissell. Great to see you. Good morning, everybody. Thats on the agenda . The budget showdown. We cannot have a government shut down. Its incredible to me to see democrats turned down a deal that would find the picture turns Health Care Program and give them nonentitlement spending. Giving them more money. Republicans are willing to eat that. All the while they said order security is important. For in the military is important. When push comes to shove, not there. Typical drama on the potomac. It always happens and sometimes they close it down but most often they work it out. When his shed down, funding for much of the government still goes on. Were talking about the implication of that. White house Deputy Press Secretary visit us this morning. Texas congressman Roger Williams is here. Former ceo of home depot assaults chrysler back nardelli is with us. Managing director Robert Mcnamee is here and race car driver and never Danica Patrick joins us as well. Lets take it over right here this hour at this peer jobs in america. President trump headed to pittsburgh. Markets extended yesterday with the dow closing about 26,000 mark. The 1000point Milestone Global economics editor jon hilsenrath. The oil company to talk about a big investment. Bringing money back. Your reaction. We are above 130 companies at this point doing something to give back to employees or constituents. The estimates im looking at is that they looking at Something Like 125 to 255 trillion by americans overseas at this new 15 tax paid and sent it to bring money back. The important point here is a brief back with respect to apple as a lot of those companies that park money overseas are Tech Companies and pharmaceutical companies. To the extent they are bringing money back to doing what apple is doing from investing in new jobs here, those tend to be tech jobs and pharmaceutical jobs. This is a shot in the arm to the u. S. Economy. Theres no way to doubt that. 20,000 new workers for 350 billion to the u. S. Economy of 38 billion. This is fantastic news. In response to the tax reform policy. Think about that. That is a humongous number they will spend over the next five years. The lack of clarity but then this press release. You know where the money is going to go and how it implements all over the next five years . They did have plans in place. Companies do this all the time kind of marketing with a birdie done, but it does look like a pickup from what they talked about before. From what i saw from our own reporting on this, it looks like they are going to put money in data centers, support centers. Those are jobs that might not be concentrated in northern california. They will also be looking to do some investment in advanced manufacturing. It makes some sense because we are increasingly talking these days about automation. But American Companies are doing right now is not necessarily looking for the cheapest label in the world. The way to run these machines and is good news apple is seeing Skilled Labor in the u. S. The United States of america has a lot of work to do to get its workforce trained at the skilled up for this advanced manufacturing economy. Maria thats a really good point in the president reacted to this news. I promise that policies that allow apple to bring massive amounts of money back to the United States. Huge win for American Workers in the u. S. In an interview last night, tim cook explained by now is the right time to bring the money back. We like the repatriation agreement on the Corporate Tax side and we are going to bring the vast majority of it here. Large parts of this are results of the tax reform in large parts of this we would have done in the situation. I spent a lot of time categorizing this because to me this is about america. It is just amazing to see the ceo of apple come a company way behind barack obama now praising the policies of a president that most of their executive team cant stand. It goes to show you all you have to do is align incentives here, reduced the burdens on incentive and theyll do it. Remember those . They are incentivized to bring bring the money back. Can i make one point what apple is doing. Apple and a lot of the other big Tech Companies like google, facebook, amazon are getting a lot of flak right now for getting too powerful. But apple is trying to do is demonstrate that they give back to the United States of america. We are not about junior children to iphone and tuning them out at the dinner table. Maria thats a very good point. What i see as amplification of the impact on the over regulation of our economy. If you look at the round, you think six to 8000point since hes been president. Thats a result of the optimism of two freely do business with a reasonable number regulations in the tax policy that will reward job generation. We will see these tax policies and the regulation propelled is just the beginning. You will see that across all sectors. The talks changed by others. We are at a point right now essentially full employment. Where unemployment is right now we will see some significant wage growth and that is going to be a bit of a danger on how it will react to significant wage increase and reality we never needed to impose a minimum wage to markets doing that and you can hire people for minimum wage because of so competitive. They are not just porting the benefits from taxes and are not just paying out to shareholders. Companies that bank of america will increase by back in dividends and things like that, but you see do you see across the board fedex can the United Health care and investing in the company and by the way apple, bloomberg reported they are giving 2500. Graham. When they mention the commercial arena break but apple doesnt include any buyback news which is a really good point. Its not like we are going to buy back stock. They are talking about investing at the data centers with a 350 billion over five years. They are. I want to make one other point about what john said. This is a low unemployment. More aggressively than i planned. On the Positive Side it could lead to the wage increases have been waiting for for years. I would say also in reality in the real world it is well above the index. The index margin is far greater. The market is already building in wage increases because to be competitive, importers have to do that. Businesses also are doing what we always do. Invest in our companies. Its only been this environment in the last eight years under president obama were business has been a bad thing and somehow or another we are not investing in their infrastructure. It is actually the public through their elected investing in infrastructure. Maria just the rhetoric of the last eight years. You didnt know that. Pay your fair share. Sort of put companies in a frozen position in terms of let me sit on the cash because we dont know whats around the corner in terms of new Good Government ideas. Congress has only until tomorrow at midnight. Were expecting. Democrats that doesnt include a solution for dr. Hes optimistic that sandia will be reached and laid out the demand on immigration. The president sees we should control the nuclear family. If they are married to wife attending. If they have minor children the minor children attending, but not the parents, not extended families. How much money does the need for the law . Roughly 700 miles of additional law and also to include the fencing that is fair, some of its only barriers to vehicle traffic about 20 billion. Theres no doubt in my mind. You agree with that on the implications of a Government Shutdown . There will be a deal at some point. The question is whether its after the government shut down or before. I think that my message to people on this is just get used to it because we are in an election year. Theres a great deal at stake in these elections. Democrats want to take the house come the senate, go after this president. A lot of confrontation then i wouldnt be at all surprised. The deal they talk about is a shortterm deal. Even if they do this one, they will be back at the table in a month. It would be at all surprised if at some point in the next few months as a months as a Government Shutdown and avoids putting their fingers at each other. I think this is ridiculous. If theres a catastrophic incident, but the mask over your own face first in the dugout for everyone else in your babies and so forth. We are going to paralyze the country over an immigration policy thats not an urgent circumstance right now. Its ludicrous. They should put our government budget and control, move it forward and deal with these issues in a more reasonable and thoughtful process. Republican should know that republicans will be blamed for the shut down even if its democrats that dont come to the table. I dont know if the president understands that. I hope that he does. We will take a break on that. Jon hilsenrath, thank you, sir. We will see you soon. Stay with us. They have. Weve had some 2012 feet children dying in a teenagers despite all these warnings are eating them and posting videos of themselves on youtube calling it the tide pod challenge. They youtube which is owned by google is sane enough. They are taking it down. Rob krukowski of the new England Patriots is up with this psa. What the heck is going on . This year its only january, 37 cases reported among teenagers, half of them intentional. For five seconds of fame on youtube. I dont understand it. Maria bizarre comments are ridiculous. If you go to the hospital, vomiting, risk of consciousness. There is the als i expect a challenge, had a good raise money for als. But we are not raising money, no good. You could hurt yourself. You have kids that are maria not smart . They want to be socially recognized. You can imagine the pressure on young people with social networking. That is the most important thing. How many kids do receive between the ages of 11 and 216 with their phones in their hands. Ibm executives in his 20s in my Office Yesterday making a presentation with a few other people i said is there an emergency because he kept looking at us found. He said no, just checking. Everybody else in here when you come and meet with the meet with me with her phone at your desk and it took us on a put it in a stack over. Did he want to see how many lakes . Its just a culture created to how people have these things glued to their hands in this compulsive behavior and also the social pressure of young people to get recognized. Thats another way to distinguish themselves. Why not teach kids how to enjoy reading, have not expose them to the stuff. You can meet a parent and i dont know when it went solo ride. Maria aside laming apple for the phone addiction. The only solution is to take the phone away from them. That is the only solution because the culture of how young people can interact today is how we are talking right now the attacks. They can sit next to each other and text each other instead of talk. New 10dollar and under section. Now am done going after the big budget stores, we are going to take you there, tell you what to find. First, though, the top stories half an hour, house makers expect today grill chief of staff today over the agencys handling of Hillary Clinton email scandal among the questions for jim, why former fbi director jim comey did not recommend charges against clinton. We already know this case was handled differently from any other case at the fbi agents could remember. Now, part of that is that youre dealing with a president ial candidate and we want to make sure that that was the only reason that it was done differently, those in exoneration memo drafted in may of 2016 that as a former prosecutor i found stunning, i found stunning that a Law Enforcement officer would draft it two months before you interview the target of the investigation and before you interviewed almost two dozen witnesses. Maria joining us this morning senior fellow for policy research jesse duff, thank you for joining the conversation. Good morning. Maria we know that jim comey start today write out the exoneration letter way before interviewing the first interview, certainly way before interviewing Hillary Clinton, we also know that the fbi obviously was there was corruption at the top of the fbi. I dont think im reaching by saying that. I mean, there was collusion certainly, youve got top fbi agent peter stokz talking to his girlfriend, what are your thoughts on this investigation . I have to agree with trey gowdy that that is stunning. We are stunned that this is taking so long to reveal what the American People seem to know. We are consistently being reminded that the wheels of justice move slowly and grind exceedingly fine. So in this particular case, i do think that we will see something come out of this. We know that the department of justice has expressed interest in investigating the clinton email scandal, theyre looking at the uranium one deals going on but dont expect it to happen overnight. It is going to be slow. I wouldnt say it probably wont happen another year or two before we start seeing action being taken. Jesse, this wasnt the only special treatment that Hillary Clinton was given. It wasnt only the xon exoneration, her lawyer was allowed to be in the room and fbi director lied about this, if the rot was at the top of the fbi, how do you even start to tackle that . Unfortunately for senator im sorry, attorney general Jeff Sessions, hes surrounded by a lot of people that he cannot necessarily get rid of if he fires them and that would become a political scandal within itself. There are people that worked under the Obama Administration in place and they are doing everything they can to protect the clinton legacy. This is apparent when you look at Judicial Watch that theres obviously higherup who is have invested interest in making sure that the clinton legacy is restored or at least maintained. I think that ship has sailed, the horse left the barn, its time for the Justice Department to stop worrying about the institution and worry about justice for the American People. By the way, don pebbles. The clinton legacy is over, shes lost and have been out of politics for a long time. Politics, its normal that a new administration makes changes and so the attorney general, he had not undermined by his boss he would be in a position to a clean house which is customary when administrative people come in and change things and so it would have been expected that the Trump Administration make dramatic changes in the Justice Department, so one, whats the productive purpose of continuing this and, two, what is the downside of replacing these people at the top if we dont think that they are doing their job . Well, we also have to understand that the Mueller Investigation is a direct result of the clinton legacy. Lets look at the reality. Mueller was an appointee under the administration that was not donald trump, along with james comey, along with other leadership. You start firing people, it now looks like donald trump is trying to hide something. The cards are stacked against him, looks like theres a collusion from the top of the white house. The cards are stacked against him if there are attempted firing. The best we know that the collusion is a fake news that was reported by president clinton last night in his tweets on the top fake news and were essentially just holding our breath for this maria i have to push back on that. I feel like asking, you know, why we are spending time on this, i think that the rule of law is why we are spending time on this, i think that we have to be able to have trust and credibility in the fbi, in the cia, in the irs and all of the agencies that we trust and so thats the point and i think if we keep going on and on about thinking that theres something and theres never never any accountability. Look at the scandal, daily caller reporting that house investigators concluded it aides made unauthorized Social Security to Democratic Caucus server, found five it workers log intoed serve erstwhile not employed by the officers they addressed. Two of them are facing charges of bank fraud after trying to flee to pakistan in july of last year and nothing has happened at this either. So people have to wonder, you know, what happens when youve got all of this wrongdoing, this criminality when you look at the email scandal as well and theres never accountability. You have to make the documents public. This is imperative. Senator Dianne Feinstein made some of that public last week but actually, i think she had the right idea, maria, lets get it all out in the public square, lets let everybody read about it, whether its the clinton email scandal, whether its the Mueller Investigation, how Michael Flynns was unmasked, the it scandal that youre talking about. Let the American People see whats going on. At certain point this has got to end. You have investigations of the president of the United States, his soninlaw is being investigated, his business is being investigated, many other people maria i agree with the russia probe because thats nonsense. Robert mueller has been working as special prosecutor for how long and we still dont have any evidence of any wrongdoing. And we dont have any evidence of wrongdoing from Hillary Clinton either. Got special treatment from fbi. Michael philipp was prosecuted for making misstatement which fbi told congress that they didnt think it was a misstatement maria thats true. By the way, the fbi is being run by donald j. Trumps administration. He can give direction of how its run. Look, george bush and Ronald Reagan did not allow the optics to dictate how they ran the government and nor should donald trump. If hes right, hes broken no laws, and that theres lets make it all public. He should fire them. Maria does it bother you that the fbi agents were back and forth saying we need an insurance policy, lets go find whats in the paper today bother you that all of the collusion was going on at the top of the fbi . You all are acting like its the first time thats happened. The reality no, this has been going Richard Nixon maria first time we know of it. This is bigger than nixon. No. If you have a president ial campaign taking a document that they knew was populated with potentially russian intelligence not trust worthy to a fisa court, getting an order from the fisa court to spy on another president ial campaign, i say thats 100 times as serious as watergate and that is what maria lets not forget, the number three guys at the department of justice, bruce ohr, the number three guy at the department of justice, his wife was working for fusion gps who authored this nonsense that was used as actual justification to wiretap donald trump. These things, this is america. Im just saying that, yeah, i agree on the russia probe with the nonsense over donald trump and collusion, but i dont agree with i think we need some accountability when it comes to this stuff. Well, we ought to get on with it one way or the other and thats in the power of the hands of the president of the United States and his Justice Department. Its in the power of congress to release well, no. Release interviews an results of findings and let the American People decide. The American People arent dumb. Lets see what actually happened, devin nunes has the power to to that and i hope he will. Maria hell getting pushback, him and trey gowdy. Even the democrats tried to smear him with ethics investigation. They can do it this morning. Maria theres something called the deep state in terms of all of these people who are against this president and lets not forget what happened as soon as he got inaugurated. The whole Intelligence Community was investigating him, leaking stuff. The majority of americans voted against him, but so what, hes the president of the United States, he should do his job and he should be free to do his job. Democrats should help republicans and also call for more transparency. How about that . The republicans dont need the democrats, they are no charge, i guaranty you that democrats when they take over congress which is going to happen in a very short period of time, they are going to take charge of an agenda, you may not like it but they will take charge and its about time that the Republican Leadership actually step up and lead in the congress which they havent done. Maria i do agree on one thing they are saying, the facturing in the Republican Party. The leadership in another place. When the democrats when and if they do take control of the house, maybe the senate in november, theyre going to all be aligned. Youre not going to see this no. If the Government Shutdowns it wont because democrats shut it down, itll because republicans shut it down. Maria i dont know about that. Republicans always get blamed. But thats the reality. Maria democrats are saying one thing and saying another. They said they wanted Border Security but they are not actually doing it. Jesse we appreciate your insights this morning. Final words . I find it ridiculous saying that theres nothing wrong with Hillary Clinton, we have to address that. Maria jesse, thank you, we will be right back. Oh good, youre awake finally. Youre still here . Reported growth of over 20,000 since its inception in the year 2013. Joining us founder and ceo dan, dan, good to see you. Thanks. Maria you launched the first bitcoin fund. Tell us about that, when did you do this and tell us about the growth thats been incredible number . In 2011 my brother told me about bitcoin and i realized it was intermediate a lot of markets and we launched first crypto currency in the u. S. And we have launched a handful of multicurrencies. Maria when you say disruptor, obviously, im trying to a long time ago jamie day mooned said its a fraud and recently he said im sorry i said it, i wish i didnt say it. Do you think bitcoin is taking out the middleman, banks, is that one of the reasons they were skeptical . Yeah, you had to pay a third party to move money around the world or other transactions, you can do it for free, its like emailing money. 20,000 performance since 2013 why not call it quits. Its a multidecade thing. Its like the internet. In the early 90s you didnt know about snapchat or ubertype applications, thats what bit dont is like. The final piece of internet puzzle. Among those lines, maverick tickets with bitcoins and other retailers that do accept bitcoin, but the volatility in 2017 over five times, its gone down 30 or more. We saw that move in the last couple of days, that alone discredits currency. So how is that going to impact its probability of displacing the u. S. Dollar or others . So its incredibly volatile, first time in history people complained that a currency is bad because it goes up too fast. Wehave had the venezuelan bolivr go up and mexican peso. And in 10 or 15 years its going to be good for buying coffee. How liquid is it . Massive market. Why is it better than other crypto currencies . Thats a big point. Bitcoin is the only crypto currency, now theres hundreds, its sensible investors should have a basket of currencies. And bitcoin is only about a third of the market now. Twothirds of the market is other currencies. Maria we are getting the numbers from Morgan Stanley, they reported 84 cents which is better than estimate of 77 on revenue of 9 and a half billion, thats also better than expected. Stock is actually trading up now on this, do you think youre going to see more large institutions get involved in Bitcoin Trading and why bitcoin, we know that there are a lot of crypto currencies . Its been a long evolution, we had the cme launch Bitcoin Futures, gold is now clearing Bitcoin Futures and i think in the next four or five months you will see big wall street firms turn to go trade bitcoin. Once that happens you will have other firms announce and within 18 months i think thats going to be a normal thing. Whats the top for having crypto currency, whats the i guess the secret special sauce of having it, why have it . You can actually just email money for free. Its really powerful, right . Why cant i just do that through my bank . They charge you 45 bucks. Maria okay. When you transfer your money through a bank you dont have the currency volatility. You transfer a dollar or you buy pounds or whatever youre going to buy. If you want to send money in the uk, you have no idea how much they are going to charge you or pounds is going to pop you and take a couple of dais and 45 bucks, with bitcoin its instant and free. Maria wow i can do more to lower my a1c. And i can do it with whats already within me. Because my body can still make its own insulin. And onceweekly trulicity activates my body to release it. Lets meet at a sleep number store. Maria welcome back, good thursday morning, thank you so much for joining us. Im Maria Bartiromo, top stories right now 7 00 a. M. On the east coast. Down to the wire, lawmakers have less than two days to avoid Government Shutdown as republicans push for shortterm spending bill, the debate of Immigration Reform takes center stage. White house chief of staff john kelly said hes confident a deal can be reached. Members of congress on both sides of the aisle and frankly both sides of the hill, it would seem that they have the votes to continue funding the military, take care of the Child Health Care issue and perhaps some other things, so as i understand it, they have the votes and they are fairly confident. Maria the president weighed in on immigration debate this morning posting several tweets on the issue. We will bring you his statement coming up this morning. Economic boom, the president will travel to pittsburgh, companies are now making following tax reform bill, apple, of course, the latest, the company sit to contribute a massive 350 billion to u. S. Economy over next five years due to President Trumps tax overhaul, paying onetime 38 billiondollar tax bill all to bring back cash it has previously kept overseas. Tim cook attributing to tax move. Check out the numbers. Dow ended the session above 26,000 for the First Time Ever yesterday, just eight trading sessions since it crossed the 25,000 mark. 1 higher on nasdaq. This morning futures look like this, in fact, we have the momentum continuing. The dow industrials up another 40 points, s p also positive and the nasdaq while negative is well off of the lows of the morning, down just two points, investors are waiting on key earnings news, Morgan Stanley hit the tape a minute ago, 80 cents of share were above expectation, revenue was also a beat, stock is up better than 2 , setting good tone for Investment Banks. In europe we see ft down, the cac request rant and dax in germany both higher. Strong Economic News out of china, the economy of china grew higher than estimates and marks the first annual acceleration of growth for the country in seven years. Could the goat miss this game, the injury that has patriots concerns, plus ugg looking for a knee up on the competition, look at the books, could their new thighhigh fashion statement for men be more of a faux paux, we are going to check that out, lindsey bell, don pebbles and mary. Good morning. Stock is up over 2 this morning, the stock is showing, thats really great because the stock is running 5 and a half year to date, 17 days, it has to be a good number, reinvesting in their company and employees and overall, i like what i hear from the banks. Maria lindsey i hear banks and Investment Bank are moving into a beautiful period, higher Interest Rates on the horizon that will help margins, you have a better economy, obviously thats going to help in a whole host of sectors and then you have regulation coming down. Jamie dimon when i interviewed him a week ago basically said a lot of industries have seen the effect of regulation coming down, not the banks yet. You have different people running Different Agency but not a lot of rule changing yet. Yeah, banks have been so constrained just, unable to take risks, afraid that regulators will come down hard on them. We have seen Community Banks going away across america, reducing lend to go small and mediumsize businesses, is doddfrank regulatory reform, is that on the horizon . Absolutely, to your point too is that lending is going to increase business and consumers starting to see that. Maria you have to feel like the banks are coming to a very good period. Joining this conversation White House Deputy secretary is with us this morning, texas congressman Roger Williams will join us momentarily and bob nordely and managing director roger is here and race car driver and entrepreneur dana patrick will join us. Kick off with this story, House Republicans leader are working to avoiding a Government Shutdown tomorrow night, tensions are flaring between two parties. The president certainly doesnt want a shutdown, if one happens, i think you have only place to look and thats to the democrats who are holding the military and our National Security hostage by trying to push through other policies that have nothing to do with the budget. Who called for the shutdown . Not a democrat but donald trump repeatedly said on tape over and over again what the country needs is a good shutdown. We hope to avoid it. We are going to do everything we can to avoid it. We hope we will but if we dont itll fall on their backs. Maria joining us this morning republican texas congressman Roger Williams. Good to see you, sir, thanks so much for joining us. Thanks for having us. Maria can you walk us through what a Government Shutdown looks like . How do people get impacted . Well, i mean, first of all, a shutdown is negative. I dont think anyone wants a shutdown. You shut the government down there are certain things that will still go on, theyll be people that will not be going to work, they wont be paid, eventually be paid, a bad way of doing business, im one of those undecided, i represent fort hood, texas, i want to make sure the military is taken care of as we move forward, its not a good way to do business but i dont think shutdown vote as much as vote on better way to do business. Maria what are you undecided about specifically . Would budget caps be lifted . Are are the holes as you see it . Its a continuing resolution, it means that we continue to do business as we have done in the past and we know in the past it creates a deficit which is not good. We have to address that eventually. From a military standpoint, we have made a lot of proms, we have a pay raise out there. We have buildings, infrastructure on the basis, we promised more preponderancery weaponry and i want to make sure the promises will be kept and thats what we will be looking at today. Congressman, its lindsey bell, fourth cr since october, how can this be Good Business to keep doing the shortterm stopgap measures, when will we get a full budget for the full year . Thats exactly right. I come business sector, the idea of continuing to do business in the past which is not a good model, creates we have sit, we have to get off of that, we have to get off to where we are passing bills and we have a budget and quite frankly its hard to see how we are going to get there. I for one like many want to get there and cr is not the way to do it. Maria how do you get there, sir, republicans are in charge, how can you get there . Republicans are in charge and thats a good question. We have moving parts within delegation and we dont want to increase the debt, theres a lot of issues that have to do with the cr, im ive been here since 2012 and this is all new to me from the private sector to continue spending at a rate that creates a deficit, so we have to get the senate too involved and they have to pass legislation, we have passed in the house to begin to create a budget. Yeah, congressman, don pebbles, im a business person as well but i had the pleasure of spending my last two years of high school on the hill when the paid program existed, even back then congress would operate with the continuing resolutions and doesnt it require a rule change or some change in conduct on how the house operates in terms of budgetary process, why not run the Congress Like you and i run our businesses, we have annual budget, we have approve the budget and thats what we operate within and without that budget, nothing gets done . Thats right. Thats how we do it in business. Thats how at a times do it. I would support ballot each year and spending with the amount of revenue coming in. We have tax reform which you talked about, which i see is working unbelievably, we will have more cash flow coming in if we can bring expenses to that level. Thats a simple 101 in business and when i ran for congress, thats one of the things i want to do is bringing business principals to washington. Standing for and acting on the best interest of the country. We cant serve everybody. The government cant solve every problem and cant pay for everything, just like businesses in american households cant afterto pay for everything. How come congress cannot operate with that basic thesis . Ive said all along the government to do three things, collect taxes, defend borders and help us with infrastructure and get out of the way and let the private sector work, states work and thats the model that i would like to see happen and thats the model im trying to to support. Maria we want to talk about that model because the key issue in this particular situation is immigration and the hot items and daca and the president s promise to build the border wall. Here is chief of staff john kelly last night and how he addressed it with bret baier. Border protection men and women came in and did a survey of the border, there are places where hydrographically a wall would not be realistically. There are other parts of southwest border that theres no traffic that goes through them because other places, 800miles additional to include the 600 that are already in place, the fencing would suffice. So he has evolved in the way hes looked at things. Maria congressman, the president tweeted his thoughts on the wall this morning saying this, the wall is the wall, has never changed or evolved from the first day i conceived of it. Parents will be necessity, never intended to be in areas with natural protection, mountains, waterlands, the wall will be paid or indirectly through longer term reimbursement from mexico which has ridiculous 70 billiondollar surplus, its peanuts compared to what mexico makes from u. S. Nafta is a bad joke. Well, sounds look it. I will tell you being from texas and secretary of state, the wall to someone like me is technology, brick and mortar and also boot tons ground, which we need more boot tons ground to begin people go through port of entry. We need to address, daca is not due till march fifth, i think it is. We need to get it right, but my feeling is we do need to secure the border first and then move onto see who is here and how we are going the take care of the folks. Maria deadline for daca is not until march. It looks like the budget negotiations are going to be separated from the immigration deal, the question i have is, what do democrats want for a deal because essentially, maria, republicans have offered them more money, more nonentitlement spending money and funding for chip, the Child Health Care insurance program, so what do they want . From my perspective, they are not negotiating here in good faith, if they were, we would have had a deal days ago. Maria what about that, congressman . Seems thats right. Seems as you talk further that the democrats if President Trump and republicans are forth or against it no matter what. Go back several years and their rhetoric on daca and those that are here illegally almost sounds like the statement republicans make, so i think the president is for or against it, thats no way to make a deal. No way to run a bids. Maria before you go, youre on Financial Services committee, what should we expect in terms of rollback and regulations as it relates to Financial Services . I heard you were talking about the Community Bank relief and so forth doing away with beginning to dismantle the doddfrank legislation, cfpb, thats what we are doing. We have legislation over the senate. I know the president will sign it as soon as he gets on the desk. We see brain stream america breathing again because they can compete, make loans to Small Business and let them expand with taxes lowered. Its going to be a great combination. Maria time on that is what . I think that like i say, you can see that any time. I hope that the senate will take the legislation up we sent over from the house and get to the president s desk, i dont know what the timing is but right now it would be great. Maria any other terms of doddfrank in terms of capital, is that changing . We have legislation where they can have have offramp and in some cases a bank with decide to carry more capital and begin to get out of doddfrank and compete for business. Maria congressman, great to see you. Thank you. Maria twitter coming clean to users, we will have that in they case. And had geico help with renters insurance it was really easy. Easy. Thatd be nice. According to new survey 34 of millennials believe they only need 200,000 or less to retire comfortably, according to aarp thats simply not true. Joining us ramsey, author of retired inspired, chris hogan is here. Thank you. Maria hard to put one General Number on how you need to live. Everybody is going to be different. But to millennials, i still have work to do, maria, if they still think 200,000 is enough, i have to give them a wakeup call. My father kept the house that i came home a newborn for 40plus years, paid less than 20,000 for it and it sold for 750,000 and that was hardly enough and so i think that people are unrealistic, their expectation is that somehow they will get Retirement Fund or Social Security which wont be there either. What does it take to retire comfortably with Life Expectancy thats going to take you into the late maria hundreds. 90 years plus. I tell people, you need to know your numbers, know your plan and know who to trust, what i mean by that, you have to have an idea what is it that you want to live on per month. I developed a free tool at my website chris hogan 360. Com where you plug in numbers to figure it out. How much do you want to life on for month and how many years you plan to retired and how much you have saved, that gives you a ballpark of number and it will show you how much you need to be investing to get out there. Yeah, what would happen is, for example, i met with my Financial Advisers and im in real estate, i try to diversify but im taking risks to earn 2, 3, 5 and im fine taking principal risk, if i had to retire and had this amount of principal, i could not afford to have a loss to investments have to be safer. So they are going to pay lower Interest Rates, the Principal Amount has to be a lot larger than it would have three decades ago. Right. But even average american, only 39 of americans are able to pay for 1,000dollar unexpected expense. Nearly 1 and 5 would put expense on a credit card. This scares me because 61 could not pay for emergency. Thats one water issue or motor issue away. Thats the problem. Maria thats the same thing that don have spoke about. What about saving 3month salary in case you need to get layed off. You need to change the mind set of mill enails, i think, is it that they dont know that they can save more money or afraid to put money in the market or find a higher yielding in. Maria they dont have the money. Understand that you need to have a cushion because life is going to happen. You need to be prepared. If youre not, youre going to reach for dad to take care of the emergency. The challenge here, lets say, new york city, people are so financially strained living here and they cannot afford to put money aside, places that are california, you know, new york, you know, other high cost of living cities, washington, d. C. , millennials dont have any money to save. Right. We have 76 of People Living paycheck to paycheck. I think it boils down to choices. You have to find the money or you have to do things to create the savings account. For example, cut back in budget. Like when you budget, you give yourself a raise, give yourself more control but also sell some stuff. We have so much in attics and garages. Take on an extra job. My father did it the first hurdle convincing millennials to save but once you get past that, is there also an issue convincing millennials that, look, if youve got 10,000 or so, its worth putting in the market for 40 years versus maybe even, you know, buying a home because youre not going get the kind of return on home that you might get in the stock market . No, with investing, compound interest is one of the things which i can explain to all of america, putting the little bit of money away is going to grow for you its not just millennials, gen xers, gen gen. If youre in the market for 40 years you can with stand investing is like roller coasters, you have to have ups an downs, but at tend of the day you know youre planning what youre investing in so you know you will come out okay. Maria important to understand the issues whether youre a mill epial or not, by the way. Chris great advice as always. Thank you. Our investigatory team is now looking to see if we can engage in other core needed activity. That was identified a previously. This coming as an early investor in facebook is voicing concern the managing director of elevation partners. Great to see. What is the problem. Its really basic. It began with a dream. It wanted to connect all the people in the world. There is something about the culture in Silicon Valley that has been going on the last ten or 12 years. People feel like its okay to change the world and not be responsible for the consequence of what you do. Their motto was move fast and break things. If you think about that for a minute that is not socially thoughtful model. They did 70 great thanks. What they did it do as they did not think through the fact that the process that they use to make the advertising compelling it could be used by bad actors to discriminate in the Housing Market to take away peoples busy to throw elections to do all kinds of really bad things. Theyve gotten worse because the company has gotten bigger and more powerful. They try to convince people it was a hack. But when it wasnt. We need people to be sensitive to it. I think facebook should really look to change its model. I think there are ways that it would be much more profitable. Without harming its users. What do they say. I went to them right before the election thinking that the problem was structural. At the time i thought the election thing was relatively smaller issue than some of the other stuff i thought going on. They said this is a pr problem not a substance problem. I think its a bigger issue than you are talking about. They were nice and friendly but they really didnt accept the idea. I think the most important thing they need to do is go to every Single Person who was touched by the russian interference in 2016 and just explain to them this is a foreign power. They are hostile. You may like how the election turned out the russians dont care what you think. There can harm people in any election. And guess what its not just the russians. Anybody can do this. You can expect cast in 2018. Thereafter reach every single american voter. We have to explain to them we are americans we have to come together and fix this. Do you suspect that were actually get to see more regulations and Companies Like facebook. We will have the culture for regulation today. We should have regulation there are things that we need to do to protect the users. That is not good for facebook or the country. I want them to move to a subscription model which would be not predatory then you get all of the good things about this amazing site. Theyve all of us on this on recognize revenue. And for 350 a month if they charge 350 a month in the United States they were generate more revenue than they are today. If you get rid of the ads. If you get the stuff you want. I want toggles at the top. You could make this thing your facebook. They have changed so much. Tell us about that. What has been the impact on facebooks Business Model and how do you see advertising changing for technology in general. The problem we have today is these products are so addictive we pick up our phone and within minutes we all are addicted to that. There is a lot of danger in that. Especially for kids. They convince the kids convinced kids that instead of having a real relationship you see these things were all of your friends are at a party in your not there. And so you have that fear of missing out. And then they are putting it online life. That is what makes the ads effective. It goes with deep emotions. They always say in news. Everybody is like the truman show. You have your own a show. And you put on a smart phone its available all the time. You will be in this position where things happen and youre not part of it you feel bad. You start to feel bad. And thats not good for anybody and its certainly is certainly not good for facebook. You obviously were among the very early investors you thought facebook so early on. Really the first firm that focused on technology. Where is the gross growth coming from tell us how you see the tech sector. The largest Tech Companies which would be google, facebook amazon, apple are so dominant that its very hard for startups to get going. Right now nobody wants to go anywhere near google. That is faithfully innovation. I think we are seen Silicon Valley spreading geographically. You still cant go can go anywhere near those companies. They are neck not to be the most innovative. Facebook owns the virtualreality company. You see things like google and driverless cars. Its not a good idea to have big established Companies Leading efforts like that. You want ai done by small entrepreneurial groups. The problem with crypto is the basic Underlying Technology is still involving. But people are putting real money behind it. Its incredibly risky. They will wind up with something very real. These are areas of growth. Where do you see the growth within tech. I think the dominance of the big guys is keeping the growth rates way lower than they should be. Monopoly which is where google and facebook and amazon are. My goal would be if we were to head regulation is understand that the companies can be successful but we want to create space for new things happen. If are going to compete with china and ai. They are too beholden to the chinese. They also had start up arms. What theyre doing now is when they buy them they stop being startups. You are insightful on that point. There is a reason why you want to have companies flourishing. There are some great parts of the country for doing this stuff. But they are only a few places they can go. I think it will be a few years before we see rapid growth from the Startup Community as there is just too much blocked off. They will move 350 billion investment to the u. S. I was not expecting that. I wasnt expecting it because these are Global Companies they really dont need to bring the money back. My guess is that there is some apple specific thing that theyre doing there. I think its really positive and i dont know how Many Companies are going to do that. The Growth Opportunities are outside the u. S. When they do it its a big win. As their company out there that we dont know of that you want to share that is doing something exciting in terms of growth. I actually think apple is a Company Everybody should Pay Attention to. They are the one check in our economy on google and facebook. They have done some great things to protect consumers. I think theyre undervalued even though its a largest market cap of any stock in the world. I think what theyre doing is absolutely brilliant. We keep sending new highs. North island chaichl cofounder of Silver Lake Partners godaddy race car driver entrepreneur Donna Kirkpatrick here dont miss a moment. Stay with us top story President Trump headed to pennsylvania today, as he touts his historic investment the historic investment Companies Making following his tax reform, blake burman live at the white house right now very latest. Good morning to you. Reporter good morning to you we have seen cross the Country Companies decided to give bonuses or wage increases to employees because of this new tax bill the reality is the polling shows that americans all across the country as well as are skeptical of this new tax bill white house knows that, which is why the sales pitch will continue into this calendar year, that begins today with President Trump hitting the road will visit a manufacturer in western pennsylvania. All of this Economic Activity, spurred by tax bill will result in more jobs, higher wages, and a brighter future. The president looks forward to spending time with some of the workers who are reaping the benefits of the tax tax cuts and reforms, we know this is just the beginning. Apple, is the latest company to announce changes because of the new tax bill, saying it real update rate from 38 billion dollars, back for the federal government also is offering employees 2500 dollars, worth of restricted stock units apple saying it will increase 20,000 jobs, over the next five years. There are large parts of this that are result of tax reform, and there is large parts of this that we would have done, in any situation. And so i havent spent a lot of time in categorizing this, because to me, this is about america. It is not about when bucket you put things in. Trip for the president today to western pennsylvania is billed as tax inventory the president acknowledging a political component tweeting out moments ago xoet, will we go into pennsylvania today in order to give total report to rick running for congress in special election march 1 a great guy we immediate more republicans, to continue our already successful agenda, in interview yesterday with reuters president said he plans to be very active heading into the mid terms 20 try to get more republicans elected up on capitol hill. Maria thanks so much we will watch that blake burman we turn to budget showdown right now congress has until tomorrow, midnight to avert a about partially shutdown lawmakers expected to vote on republican short term spending measure today, democrats say they would be the vote for anything, that does not include a solution for daca. Still white house chief of staff kelly said on about fox he is optimistic some deal will be reached explained exactly what President Trump wants for the border. The presidencys that we should control family if married, of course, wife would come in if minor children, the minor children will come in, but not the parents not the extended family. How much will money does he need for the wall we think roughly 700 miles of wall additional wall to include and also to include the fencing that is there some only barriers to vehicle about traffic, 20 billion dollars. There is no doubt in my mind there is going to be a deal. Jamie right now to talk more about that White House Deputy press second hogan thanks so much for joining us. Good morning. How will this is get done walk us through it. Well, look the president is contain the lease only this piecing he wants more Security First and foremost we have talked about that, in the campaign, obviously the president has been out and about that since in the white house, and it is involves several pieces first and foremost itself securing the border something democrats dont want to talk about they refuse to address it but that is the broader piece of National Security are asking the broader we want to end chain migration end to visa lottery system daca we want a permanent fix that is a part one of four parts of the ultimately plan that the president wants done because we want a permanent solution dont want to be where we started from in a couple years o months that is what we are trying to avoid. I know the democrats doesnt feel like they care, if this government shuts down, right, i will quote the wall street journal this morning, on the oped page the rule of shutdown politics, democrats want to shut down but republicans are going to get blamed for it. This has been roughly true in every shut down brawl we have watched to 1980s are you worried that you take to the end try to push for what you believe is right and then the government shuts down and the republicans take the proclaim . Blame . I am sure jeed will try to push the fact we are to blame the wht in white House Republican Senate Republican house cant shut down government not going to democrats for whatever reason have decided to hold our military hostage over needs of people who are in this country illegal, they zero political sense, if they want to sell that in 2018 more than welcome be my guest the fact remains we need protect American People first heeding up into this deal, it is important that we get the platforms for president outlined because it is about putting the interest of the American People first and for the purpose 40 years this immigration system has not done that catered to other countries, and to special interest groups, and democrats have their head in the sand on this, American People are with us about 70 , 30 a positive issue for the American People, and i still cant it blows my mind that the democrats decide to die on this hill. Well, i mean, i think it is more that the democrats want to take the house possibly senate in november they want to make republicans take the fall for everything the president tweeted out this morning, on Border Security reiterated in a series of tweets that mexico will pay for the wall whether through longer term retirement nafta renegotiations of mexico come o to the table where are you on nafta talks. Well obviously i dont want to get ahead of the president or negotiations there but he has been clear that there are various ways even that tweet you he mentioned mexico can pay for the wall i do want to mote on this show we are in 2006 there was a Border Security act 2013 there was also an act had 40 billion dollars set up in established for the wall, ended chain migration dplaths voted for that 54 to nothing cho things changed since that vote immigration sip of markedly worse more dangerous, hurts American Economy much more, and the second thing is President Trump is in the white house. So idea what their thinking because they used to be for Border Security, we love for them to be for Border Security again seems like they are not right now and look, the deal that was brought to the president last week, much maligned arguments over word used not used irrelevant wasted 6 days talking nonsense instead of trying to Death Penalty cases this problem the plan Dick Durbin Lindsey Graham brought to the president we wanted 18 billion dollars dhs clear not what they wanted a what they needed 1 billion dollars to build this wall secure if border Lindsey Graham durbin brought 1. 6 billion to the table less than 1 10 to secure the facing, Fund Military protect people in when they didnt like the answer they got when the president says no, 1. 6 is not number we need much more what did they do left the room leaked out, what went on in the room, and and made sure that the world understood any language that the president may or may not have used, so that is what i am saying, they it is the goal here is to their way o or highway you are talk being talking about Lindsey Graham republican we had a conversation earlier today republicans so fractured all this infighting how are you going to unify keep the majority come november . I wouldnt say we are fractured look, the real question is not can we get one or two republicans on outside, it is how come no democrats want to secure the border, let me talk about Lindsey Graham a moment because i am from South Carolina, sures as suras sun is going to wise from the east set in wet in front of me no daylight if you will between durbin and Lindsey Graham on immigration in 2001 range i was executive director of the South Carolina Republican Party i remember when Lindsey Graham took to stage tried to semopen borders, amnesty on immigration back then he got bioed booed off the stage nothing new for Lindsey Graham nothing new nor durbin tied closely at hip on this i dont know why but most republicans most americans dont like that deal, they elected a president to rescuer borders to end main migration Visa Lottery Program fix daca time for permanent solution we cannot continue to put American People at risk. What about your attorney general what is happening in terms of fbi how lawmakers are expected to grow fbi director chief of substantive on agency probe into hill him private he mail server congressman trey gowdy last night of. We know this was handled differently from any other case the fbi agents could remember, issue part of that you are dealing with a president ial candidate and we want to make sure that that was the only reason that it was done, differently, those in exoneration drafted in may 2016 that as a former prosecutor i find stunning a Law Enforcement officer would draft it two months before you have interviewed the target of the investigation. Then before you interviewed almost two dozen witnesses. Hogan what is the story in terms of agencies working against donald trump . I mean Jeff Sessions your thoughts on investigation people want accountability here. Absolutely. People demand accountability from government elected officials donald trump no different, we have obviously been cooperating with the fbi from the getgo, i know trey gowdy very well going to handle this going to be all over it but look we trust the process, we encourage everyone to be forthcoming tell truth, and there has been no collusion on our heart. Nice baby sitting story. It is thank you, cheryl, breaking news want to get out right here President Trump just tweeted this here is what he says this morning, we need the wall for the safety and security of our country, we need the wall to stop massive inflow of drugs from mexico, now rated number one most dangerous xun in the world if no wall, there is no deal. This keeps stopping what is supposed to be taking place, the republicans want board funding wall funding democrats want it tied to daca. I think there is a deal to be made the here but not going to be made this week, i think unfortunately i think the budget negotiations are going to be negotiated separately from immigration deal but big question is, do democrats want to come to the table, because as of right now, they dont. And President Trump made it very clear when he hood a press conference, he wants to get something done and i think that both sides have something to trade. Not proclaim senate at a democrats again republicans control house of representatives the senate and president United States republican, if they want to move forward they can do it. You dont ever want to do a big deal like this unilaterally. With tax reform did it just did. It we learned in Obama Administration, immigration bipartisan concerns should be done and i will quote. Comprehensive biggest tax reform in decades was done on a party line basis. That is the way our Government Works o. Maria it is a move forward. I quote journal, the democrats want a shutdown but republicans will get blamed for it. We had a republican congress, man on air said he wasnt insure going to vote to stop shutdown. Tags ge shares fallen 40 last year joining me is former chrysler ceo former home depot ceo bob nardelli the reason we want you to talk about it bob nardelli that you are long time executive at General Electric worked there 30 years, virtually every business appliance transportation ge capital, lighting. Power generation. Great experiencing maria. I was blessed to be able about to have that opportunity. Coming out of college to start working at General Electric and then certainly, the opportunity to work closely with jack welch, and his mentororship leadership skills was invaluable to me going forward. From all that, you know, and about this company, this your heart for so many years how do you feel what happened at gsunny. Well it is at ge . Heartbreaking not only me but hundreds of emails from colleagues about you know what is happening at ge today, because you know beyond anything we would have predicted early on tesla, westinghouse ge competing tesla by the boards westing highways by boards you hope like heck ge doesnt go by boards here, i think, you know a lot of things have happened, here, it is you know this perfect storm jane steohn steps herculean challenge playing in super bowl with new team new cfoi new person in charge of ge Power Systems new person in charge of transportation, you go right down, new person in charge of Corporate Research and Development Learning curve for new ceos has to be murder measured in seconds not minutes the business as febling a leader. If you take a billion dollars out of ge Power Systems, that had to start day one. As you know, if you wait until the Third Quarter to start actually getting cookbook, then you got to get two billion dollars, out to really ring register at the end of the day so i know how they are organized to address running the business daytoday, and then really focused on getting productivity you dont hear anything in in the dialog about the industrial internet billions spent as opposed to Product Innovation core businesses Capital Allocation a big challenge with cash generation i would think would do inventory of vr nonearning asset in that company and i know will take a paper hit on earnings per share ought to sell those quickly as he can idle factors equipment whatever not earning ought to be monetize to go get cash, because he has huge debt bigger than revenue unfunded pension 50 dividend committed to maybe should have tan out to try to bring together. This is about leadership i call out elephant in the room you were one of those people that could have gotten the job there was three people jack welch at the time wanted to do you know, down to three people and it was you, mc. You are kind to say that. I am sorry i have to call it will as i see it you want to ask. Sorry so about as you mentioned all the the old guard is gone, there is new people in there a lot of people have been there many years john at helm who is guiding him if you look at board you he mentioned in the past there is not one person on that board with industrial experience, how does he know that these are right decisions to make. It is interesting you say that, you know i have always said you cant point the finger just at jeff, i think you got to look at the board allowed this to happen over 16, 17 years, and you are right lindsey i would have when jack was there we had real industrialists roger penske on the board when you think about that, if you look at the people that have left, after jack like i said dave calhoun, Scott Donnelly Jim Mcinerney very the legalitied leaders unnecessary culture a passion commitment to improve upon everything they did running in the business so the board is probably going to get recon figured cold ceos get off garden on there on the board now from the fund. From trion, so ed has a big job to do reconfiguring that board to bring people on that have speed the passion the commitment, cause these changes if you think about the charge i mentioned, you got to be thinking about not only running the business but you know the old black swan thinging what could happen how do we how you could be surprised with me with a charge like that after jane spent six months, probably went through every business, how could one be surprised with that kind of thing bornstein was cfo came out of ge capital. Initially when ge was on its knees financial cries stock down to four, it was 59 3 4 when i was at cnbc ge was Parent Company at that time jeff immelt pulled in for Financial Support nelson gets in there decides assets need to be sold maybe jeff immelt needs to go. I dont know, again looking back now, did they sell it to generate cash to cover dividend . You know, i dont know, i think what we have to look for now is will john be able to deliver on the costout, if i look at the businesses that are left maria you calibrate them based on the bookings, accuse these are long cycle businesses, i know when we were running transportation you mentioned, when i went in there doing 250 locomotives left doing 800 a year when we went into pour systems 30 turbines a year went out 300 turbines a wreer, and so you need to be able to enhance the core, extended the business and and an your market, and now when you have this crisis on top of the normal challenge of ring your business, the level of complexity challenge, is is herculean for john and team. You sold all your stock sfie did i kept it a long time voted with my heart for a long time, and about i voted with my head. Before you go we want your take on some news of the at a we appreciate your thoughts on ge because you are opinion matters here we appreciate. I am pulling for them. You are informed. So you did an interview with ft say people are missing the point talking about the price of bitcoin. See the people focused on bitcoin is as value the more interesting element as means of exchange, it is a very nascent industry reminds me what internet was like early 09 pods has potential to 90s, has a technology has possibly to move anything of value around world speed of light like we move emails that is transformative it is away a lot of Engineering Company issues Business Model issuing solved to get there i am a small investor in it but invested across the businesses businesses than i am the store value the will go equivalent unit of bitcoin. We talked with, an investor earlier this morning dan morehead started pan Terra Capital first wellknown. For bitcoin, and he was saying that it is totally free you can move money across the world free but there are transaction fees. Not free but cheaper, so if you look at trading of equities we have taken price the cost of that down about 98 in last 10 years, from aithth quarter is mr. Commission to a penny a share. Look at etfs. The cost of transferring money has stayed at high level for a very long period of time, 2 of transaction value for credit cards, 7 to 8 for International Remittance 9 to 10 today day loans if you take a huge amount of cost of that out of the system, by implementing new technologies to reduce settlement costs clearing costs custody costs fraud costs all things that go into making it very, very expensive that is what the Bitcoin Technology bitcoin protocol, currency unit have potential to do but a long way away it is like internet early 90s things to be resolved perfect. You have been so savvy on technology you cofounded Silver Lake Partners the first private eblth firm that did solely technology, let me ask you about how you have invested in bitcoin in ft article it says that you he did not buy bitcoin directly but tell me how. Technically true i have owned i am onboard of the company i buy a Company Products one of the products etfs invested in different coins i own bought and sold etf typically did not buy bitcoin but have exposure to bitcoin ethereum, and cash that i bottle as products of the companion. Company you are first sort of leaders in investment world to stick your neck out say aim believer here jamie dimon cut a flack for to calling it a fraud told me he regrets saying it you said when it comes to bitcoin a difference between tomorrow a fraud and bubble explain. If you look at bit county valuations today a analysis i saw other at a showed inflaitd more than tulips or swamp land or the company other sort of massive evaluation increases occurred overtime it is entirely possible about that valuation will turn out to be a bubble but what i mean is difference between a bubble and fraud, is that internet stocks were able 1999 long term stock charts 1999 stands out the internet changed their lives internet was a bubble but not a fraud. A good way to say. It right . The mortgages in 2006, 2007 a did you believe and fraud did i whether my view is since i dont think a lot about the bitcoin value, other people have calling it a bubble, but lets say it is. That doesnt mean that Underlying Technology that has potential in 10 years time not tomorrow to fundamentally change the payment the way we fundamentally email and other uses of internet financially change what we do with under investigation can be transformative. What is it going to do to middle man now is that one of the reasons that traditionalists, Financial Times called you most wellknown blirnt figure a deep dive on bitcoin of a im not sure when i like least. Is is the establishment not buying in because they are afraid going to get displaced by bitcoin. Lets there is a term fair amount of that going on. Why . That is the the current mania for the blblockchain is e brace by conventional companies because it is a technology they can use in enterprise doesnt put the enterprise at risk the bitcoin protocol rails value will run if we get right will fundamentally disrupt a bunch of business i dont think will disrupt the banks as taking in money regulated institutions moneyier laundering the Credit Card Companies Remittance Companies at a extract the payments businesses of the banks right, that they extract a lot of value from simply moving value around the world will is highly vulnerable. Give your sense of the regulatory victim we have seen rollback in regulations in the economy not as much in the Financial Services sector but you are so active how do you see Regulatory Environment changing as relates to bitcoin elsewhere. I think generally, you know things go in pendulums, and the financial servicers industry had a lot of explaining to do. After the financial crisis, and we ended up with doddfrank. Are there areas in which that went too far did cfpb go of a tar in areas probably does that need to be corrected back . Yes, do Community Local banks need different regulatory framers than big systemically important institutions of continuous would be crazy to relax capital standards for big banks one key thing we have a fundamental but will warshi bulwark in United States, is to have the capital repl replenished higher levels in banking. The president announced a winners of the faik news awards last night, topping the list New York Times columnist paul cryingman, away in on that stuart varney, i think paul krugman said the markets will never recover. Let me read it to you, you know what i am talking about, there. It really dozes does looks like president dn don and markets plunging will recovery how wrong can you be i want to give kudos to you here, for two things, on election night, you said this is a buying opportunity you were so dead right. Later, just recently actually i was hearing you and you said that what krugman others had done make mistake of puts their ideology their politics in front of their financial judgment. You are dead right exactly what krugman does this man relatively of center politically hates President Trump really has no time for free markets, put that in front of his judgment of where economy was going markets are going well done maria yet again.
