But the dow is still on pace for its longest monthly winning streak in 59 years. What is driving it . We are here with allstar panel. Well look ahead into 2018 and your money. The president flatting fbi director an did i mccabe oaf ties to Hillary Clinton. Could this be the reason for his early retirement . Blake burman is at the white house live with more. Break, what will you start with . Trish, the white house, the president , making it clear the first item legislatively when it comes to 2018 is a big infrastructure package. Here at the white house, director of legislative affairs, mark short, come january the president will have a meeting at camp david with the top two republicans and there they hope to nail down some of the details. I think you will see the r c president roll out a infrastructure plan in january. The president already invited leader mcconnell and speaker ryan to camp david first weekend in january to make sure were all on the same page for the priorities of 2018. Reporter the right house wants to commit 200 billion if federal dollars. Democrats want it higher. White house feels they can get democrat bye in. Over the weekend ben cardin did sounded optimistic. We can work together. We can get something done on that. Reporter thornier issues await 2018. President wants funding for the border wall. Democrats on immigration issue wants protections for talk today dreamers. President tweeting about coming together on health care so that could be aways away politically. Dont forget there is a debt ceiling to deal with in a couple months. Trish thank you so much, blake. Joining me right now trump reelection advisor board member harlan hill and Jessica Tarlov. Jessica, like the president c heard you on cash ininn on saturday. Said we need to start with infrastructure. Does this make you happy . Democrats have been always pushing for better infrastructure. Definitely i like extra viewer especially one at that height. I think it is great they would lead with this. I think paul ryan was making really big mistake welfare reform would be the first piece of legislation they went after in 2018. We know republicans and democrats, no matter what they say made this sacred cow. It is hard to take something away from people while you give it to them. I think we can make smart entitlement reforms, infrastructure, getting a bipartisan boon will be helpful to both parties in 2018. Trish this is interesting. Harlan hill going, uhhuh. Where was he last week when he was laughing at me. Trish this is important to bring both sides together to get stuff done. Harlan supports President Trump. Jessica, doesnt really. I support the president of the United States of america. This isnt my favorite one. Trish but both coming together on this issue of the question will republicans and democrats be able to do that in washington, harlan . I really doubt it. Despite the fact trish because theyre no harlan and jessica. c despite the fact 40 of our bridges in this country are over 50 years old. 9 of the bridges are structurally deficient and dangerous. Despite the fact our Energy Infrastructure in this country goes back to the 50s and 60s, deficient for the modern era i dont think democrats will come to the table. I believe theyre in Obstructionist Party that is hellbent on destroying and obstructing the president s progress. I think elements within the Republican Party will oppose the president here. It will be very difficult to piece together this deal. I dont think, despite the fact this should be nobrainer, despite the fact common sense liberals and democrats like jessica are willing to come to the table im not sure rankandfile on congress, on capitol hill excuse me are going to be willing to do that. Both in the Democratic Party and Republican Party. Trish if they dont it will cost them. It should. Trish jessica, this should be right up their alley. We said over and over again donald trump is not a traditional conservative. If he were he would look at things like entitlement reform right now. But you made the point that is politically hard to get done. He seems to be a little bit of a realist on the political front and economic front in that he wants our economy to bec growig and what better which to spend money on some kind of infrastructure plan. I do hope they spend it wisely and get a lot of private industry involved but what do you say that in no way hedouble l that democrats will be on board with this . I think it is something about we talked for so long, wanted to do under obama as well. I think harlan is spot on that some rankandfile republicans will come out, theyre deficit hawks. Were adding 1. 5 trillion from the gop tax bill that went ahead. That will be more of a difficult sell there. To your point, trish, that donald trump not traditional republican, he wasnt a republican to begin with, and he is also a builder. I feel this is more exciting prospect of him to to out there and actually saying he will rebuild america. I think that will be part of his selling point here. That he knows how to do this. He has experience in this arena. I think that hopefully he can sway people hesitant on both sides about this, because i think it would be tremendous for the nation. Trish paul ryan really wanted to stick to his agenda which was welfare and entitlement reform. Thats crazy, why. Trish c yeah, no way, buddy, were dying what i want to do. Maybe it will help you come 2018. What do you think, harlan . If paul ryan went forward on his plan for entitlement reform, by the way, i think that would be smart thing to do, we should have a system that enables and helps people to work, rather than keeping them in poverty with the system that we have now, via welfare. Yes. Trish by afraiding that, going straight to infrastructure, how does that actually help a lot of house dems, forgive me, House Republicans and Senate Republicans in 18 . For one i think the American People will see these highly visible projects taking place in their own districts, in their own backyards. They will see new bridges. They knee see new roads. Electrical infrastructure is frankly a National Security issue in it country. Having that visible win, including wall between United States and mexico for republicans is a nobrainer. The problem trish as long as it doesnt turn into the big dig. As long as it gets dug on time and were not wasting dollars we did with president obama people will argue that no matter what. That is the nature of this. People believe in infrastructure as job creator and economicc bm and those who dont of the they will line up. The problem with speaker ryan he really doesnt understand the trump wing of the Republican Party. He doesnt understand the more populist wing of the party that want to see the deals. He looks at Republican Party, he looks at polling, he has a feeling for the electorate, and he thinks for republicans to go after medicare and social security. These problems are very popular. Theyre not welfare either. We pay into those systems and were owed that when we reach a certain age. Trish forget social security. That is, nearly impossible. That is something that president i hope learned when he was tried that for sure, privatize the accounts. Well see. I mean i think it is probably good for a lot of construction companies, a lot of manufacturing companies, let you know a company like cat for example, might benefit. Whole businesses. I lived in london when they were building olympic stadium. Oh. What are you saying oh about that. Dont talk about the olympics. I am talking about largescale Infrastructure Projects that bring things to areas dilapidated. Trish we havec winwin. Harlan and jessica on the same page. Thanks so much, guys. I will see jessica coming up at 4 00 on cavuto as well. Tax reform, its done, and thats good. We need lower corporate taxes. We got them. We need lower individual taxes for the people that actually pay taxes and we got a little bit of them. I wish we could have done more. But the one thing that the president was not able to do, thanks to house and senate, who had no interest in it, but maybe he can still actually make good on is that Campaign Promise to close the carried interest loophole. Heres the thing. Carried interest, it is not an investment. The private Equity Industry would like you to think so but if they dont have their own money at stake, theyre taking a portion of your returns, that is what you call income. And that means they need to pay the full boat. They have to pay in this case 37 . You know it doesnt seem right that the Steve Schwarzman es of the world making 400 million plus a year call their income investments and pay 20 whenc a new york city cop five years on the job has to pay 27 . Well you know why they benefit, these private equity folks, this loophole they donate millions of dollars to lawmakers on both sides. So of course washington has no interest in fixing the mess. But my next guest says theyre not touching the issue because no one cares . Watch this. Look, carried interest, we can talk about that for the next hour if youd like, but for most americans, they could care less about that. This is it. Thats the best question you have got. On substantial tax reform is carried interest . Seriously. Its a complicated issue. It is not that much money. Most people have in idea what carried interest is. They want to know why you are cutting my taxes . Trish we need to educate them. This is why im going to stay on it issue for you. You know what . You may not care and be happy youre getting a tax break. You should care. Every single one of us should be caring right now, because were talking about potentially 180 billion over 10 years. I dont care if it is just one stinkin dollar, right . Therec is a principle here. It needs to be fixed. The president can still do it and forget about the swamp. Joining me with the solution, bullseye brief founder and author adam johnson. Good to see you. Good to see you, trish. Trish could he go to Steve Mnuchin and say, you know what steve, my friend, i want you to look at this irs code again and get the irs to look at this code ben. Yes. Trish maybe we need to reinterpret this code because, well it is not right . Right. Well there is no guarranty necessarily that the irs would change its quote, opinion on carried interest but it is certainly possible if mr. Trump were to go to mr. Mnuchin, his treasury secretary, say, hey, we want you to take a look. Here is what it boils down to, trish, back in 1993 the irs issued what is called an opinion on the income generated by Real Estate Investment trusts reits. In fact maybe some of you invest in reits. Because its a passthrough youre able to effectively take passthrough tax rates. Some very clever accountant said, hey, wait a minute, maybe these private equity guys can do the same thing. The opinion meant for one thing, real estate, somehow got morphed into a supposed opinion about private equity investment. Its not right. Trish its not right. You know what . If youre investing in that reit, i am, or anybody that is money we already pay taxes on. Yeah. Trish weve taken hardearned money paying taxes put it into an investment. In case of the private Equity Investors theyre not investing correct. Trish if they invest their own money, fine, i have no problem off their own money. Theyre skimming off the top of your investment because they have to use your investment and that payday is income. Theyre investing other peoples money and taking tax rate those people should be getting, instead claiming what their own. What it gets down to, trish, what you were harping on, cited in the hill today, pushing the president himself on this issue, it speaks to swampism, right . I dont right. Why should anyone be aloud to take this, number one, why would the republicans up with it, number two . It gives dems so much firepower. Do something, mr. President. Trish they dont. Here is the problem. You said swampism. That is exactly what it is, Mitch Mcconnell getting 3 million from his superpac ic four, his superpac in 2016, from well, guess what . Steve schwarzman who runs one of the biggest private equity firms in the world. Of course Steve Schwarzman is willing to give money to both sides by the way because it saves him a ton on his 400 had dollars plus income. Paul ryan getting 16 million in contributions from the private Equity Industry. Do we have democrats we can show as well, guys . The dems are getting this as well. This is on both sides. When we talk about the swamp, were talking about these lobbyists working on behalf of industries, in this case private equity to keep certain perks. They got to keep this. I think it could change. With mnuchin, would gary cohn want to do it or worry they want to protect their buddies at Goldman Sachs . In theory they would want to protect their buds. They have given up their own right, gary cohn, Steve Mnuchin. They want to serve the country. Mr. Cohn, mr. Mnuchin, if you want to safety country, i know this is in the weeds thing, take a look and get rid of it. Go to the irs, issue a new opinion. If you do, thec irs says well get rid of carried interest, that saves us, the american taxpayers, you me, everybody else, 180 billion over two years. Guess what, trish that would be 1 5 what were talking about spending on infrastructure. So get rid of the carried interest thing and go build bridges. That is what were trying to do here. Trish Steve Mnuchin trying to tell me it is not that much money. It is a lot of money to your point, that is 1 5, absolutely a lot of money. As i said, even if it were just one dollar in principle they need to fix it. So i hope they do. Adam, wellsaid. Thank you, trish. Trish see you at 7 00 tonight on im like triple header today. What do you call yourself . Youre said youre a dog with a bone on this one, well you should be. Trish this story weve got to stay on this i want to make sure that the American Public does not get swindledded in all this because some industry has a bunch of lobbiest working on their behalf. Americans spending more money this Holiday Season according to brand new report. Retail sales up 5 , strongest pace since 2011. What is fueling the strong numbers . We have the intel for you next. Trish this Holiday Season coulc be renaissance for retail according to massacre card, spending online, brickandmortar, rose 5 from beginning of november through christmas. That is up from last years 3. 7 bump of the nice to see. What is the cause for the retail surge . Fox news correspondent anita vogel fills in details. Hey there, anita. Reporter trish, good afternoon. The truth retail spending has been going strong since last friday last month. According to the National Retail federation there are three key reasons. Number one, was Good Shopping weather across the country. Second was low unemployment. The third, Consumer Confidence. Some of the Major Credit Card Companies also say that many retailers benefited this year from Christmas Day falling on a monday, giving shoppers a full weekend to open up their wallets and make those last minute purchases. Experts add, hi Consumer Confidence boosted retail sales during the holiday period, the best since 2011. According to the National Retail federation, seven years ago sales were 528 billion. In 2017, the estimate for this Holiday Season . 682 billion. Ac spokesperson from mastercard says overall this, was a big win for retail this year, with a lot of that boost coming from online shopping. Amazon all the way. Yep. 100 . Most of it has been online. Reporter why is that . It is easy, convenient, free shipping. Reporter but for the brickandmortar stores, the days leading up to christmas are vital. 20 of traffic into the stores during the season happens in the week before christmas. So they did all they could to roll out the red carpet for shoppers. And even though a lot of the big retailers are filing for bankruptcy and Closing Locations in 2018 the good news for them is the average shopper spends an average of 82 more in a store than they do online, according to fortune magazine. Trish, of course the shopping is not over yet. We all know some Big Chain Stores like macys and walmart and a lot of the others, they hold out to have their biggest sales this week because they know the bargain shoppers will be out there. Trish thanks so much, anita. This is good to see. We need this growth in the retail sector. It was hanging on by the last thread. Joining me for more analysis, managing director ofc the Research Group bert flickenger. How are you doing . Trish good news every day, every time i talk to you, gosh how long have i known you, 15 years that retail is going down, down, down. Can i hear Something Different this time . The wellcapitalized retailers are doing really well. Anita and you just referenced a number of them and the undercapitalized retailers wrecked by wall street, carried interest crowd youre heroically going up against, bill ackmans of the world, wrecked jcpenney left them on deaths doorstep. A number of wall street firms dont understand main street, wrecked main street. Concentrated on carried interest. The great merchants are winning. Tractor supply, tiffany, walmart, to wood mans. All winning, the breast bricks and mortar retailers are winning and own online. Trish bill ackman has gone away so they dont have to deal with him as much but why do you say that theyre winning . Theyre winning because, take for example, ackman which you referenced. Bring in mike ullman to help save it. With joec mcfarland, dynamic hd of retail operations. Marvin ellison, extarget, exhome depot. You have merchants and leaders running stores, better product, better prices. Yeah. Trish you know, it is interesting what you said because you said as well, it is crazy to think that the private Equity Industry has gotten away with paying so little in tax. Yeah. Trish were continuing to getaway with it. There is a chance the president can change that so they better watch out. They may actually have to do what everybody else is doing. But terms of it the retail sector, how it is affected, bert, by this tax plan a little more money in everybodys pocket, what does that mean for sales . More money in everybodys pocket, retailers were paying highest credit, highest taxes while wall street was paying low of the taxes. Now retailers will be paying lower taxes. They invescap ex, digitizing the stores, making them interesting for all generations, driving sales, hiring more people. Affordable care act bust ad lot of retailers workers from full time to part time. They get more hours. Spend more time in the saw. Trish are you long the sector some of these stocks . Yeah. Tractor supply, tiffany,c walmart, all off price, ross, burlington, tjx to alis bargain stores. Trish that is vote for american economy. That is good to hear. Feels like i havent heard from you ever. Win paying go as well. When winnebago is winning, america is winning. Trish long on macys you said yeah. Macys has great new leadership. Theyre on a roll nationally and internationally. Trish like hearing got stuff, bert. Thank you, trish. Trish breaking everyone. United states the slapping north korea with brand new sanctions following the rogue nation refusal to get rid of their nuclear program. This comes on the heels of new economic sanctions imposed by the u. N. , which north korea is calling quote an act of war. Lieutenant colonel ralph peters is here on the escalating tension right now happening along the korean peninsula. He has some solutions. He will see you next. Trish breaking news today, the Treasury Department just announcing sanctions on two Senior North Korean officials for their part in the regimes repeated violation of u. N. Sanctions. Treasury secretary Steve Mnuchin saying targeted Senior Leaders with sanctions is part of the the way to isolate the regime. We have Lieutenant Colonel ralph peters. Is that all in the cards, can we achieve a fully declubbing denuclearized north korea . Let me take time to celebrate with fellow christians, the Saint Stephens day, the first martyr. This shows the good side of the u. N. , why it is useful to us at times. Although russia got them watered down a little bitc toward the end, nonetheless the exports of north korean coal, the primary export sending slave labor abroad to earn heart currency, restrictions on oil imports that will really hurt. That is why north korea is so angry. That is good news. Anything that might possibly halt this short oi military action is good news. Trish i know what you like. Youve been a big advocate for the u. N. You dont like what theyre doing sometimes. You want them to contribute more. Youre ultimately advocate of some kind of a world body up there, hopefully we can control to a certain extent and make sure theyre doing the right thing. So i know you say that, but, you know, it is not just the u. N. , right . Isnt there more that can be done economically here, to make china do what we need them to do . Well, certainly. The tougher we get with china, the tougher is china likelier to get with north korea. As for the u. N. , it has countless problems. But i think of the u. N. As a, you know, a old friend who just gets drunk sometimes and does dumb stuff but still my old friend. He is still i can countc on whn he is sober. When the u. N. Is sober, does wise things like cracking down on north korea to help prevent war. It throws tantrums now and then like on jerusalem. Trish jerusalem, you, as i were thrilled to see. Yes. Trish that we were willing to finally take a stand, a stand that many promises have been made on but nobody bothered to come through with it until now just recently. Now we go to guatemala saying they will put the embassy in jerusalem. So more and more countries, 10, i believe are recognizing it and more will. But yeah the u. N. Up to its old tricks. Nikki haley saying guys, were shutting down the money spigot to the tune of 278 billion. Indeed. That is a worthwhile thing but i want to be clear to viewers because the news today is a bit hazy. This was not a sudden response to the antiu. S. Jerusalem vote. These cuts, the 285 million have been negotiated cuts. Weve been working for quite a while now to try to get the u. N. , which is the poshist country club in the world to crack down on lavish spending concentrate on the core missions. Soc that 285 million, believet or not is less than 5 of our budgetary contributions but it does send us an important signal, hey, you cant just waste the american taxpayers money endlessly and you have to deliver results. Its a good move. Trish the results would be north korea in your view right now . Yeah. And, you know, it is useful to have a world united preventing a possible nuclear conflict. Again although the russians undercut as you little bit this time, even though finally got on board. So the u. N. , its important to recognize its limitations. Dont expect perfection. But if you have realistic expectations, the u. N. Is a useful tool for the United States when chips are really down. Trish colonel ralph peters, good to see you. Merry christmas. Merry christmas to you, trish. Happy st. Stephens day. Trish happy st. Stephens day today. President trump blasting the fake fbi dossier and saying that it was used against him during his election. Weak demand for the iphone x due to the high price and lack of innovation. Turning to politics President Trump taking time on the Holiday Weekend to needle the fbi on twitter as we learn from lawmakers and his lawyers, that the Russian Investigation may soon be wrapping up. President suggested that the Andrew Mccabe is on his way out of the bureau but that he may have been compromised by political donations tweeting, and i quote, how can fbi deputy director, Andrew Mccabe and james comey of the phony Hillary Clinton investigation including 33,000 illegally delete the emails given 700,000 for wifes campaign by clinton puppets during the investigation. All this after mccabe teatified on the hill about possible Trump Campaign ties to russia . Harlan hill, Jessica Tarlov are back with us to discuss. Harlan, you know you have got a point and we brought this up over and over again at the time, it just doesnt make any sense. These blatant conflicts of interest, i dont know how he is able to lead an investigation when his own wife received hundreds of thousands of dollars from clinton cronies . Wouldnt that be enough to sort of say okay, maybe i need to sit this one out . Now he is leading this, you know, well maybe not, for long, team there at the fbi . That would have been enough to raise red flags but when you combine the transfer of 700,000 in contributions to his wifes campaign with the fact that they predicated their entire investigation, the foundation of their investigation, the counterintelligence investigation into the Trump Campaign was the dossier. The dossier trish do we really know that . That is what we think at this point because certainly all roads leading to that but we dont know that . He actually bragged in october 2016s to mother jones magazine this was the case. Even before the election, ac lt of people around this including Christopher Steele himself was taking credit for it. The problem here is that dnc and Clinton CampaignOpposition Research seems to have been the basis for a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump Campaign. That includes the acquisition of wiretaps on senior trump people including potentially the president himself. Trish something caused them big red flags here. Trish something caused them to do this and the scary thought is, in fact, jessica, this dossier largely discredited by every journalist, if you want to call them journalists, buzzfeed, the internet site, everyone knew it was a bunch of trash and yet apparently were getting indications that members of government actually thought there was something to it and may have actually acted upon it. I do want to stress that is not fully determined. Exactly. Trish jessica, it has been a while. I mean the clock is ticking, right . Still nothing. The clock isnt really ticking there. Has been indictments. That is not seeming nothing. It Wishful Thinking on the part of the president his part on this would be wrapped up by the end of the year w know that isnt happening at this point. There is no indictment. Harlan i let you say a whole bunch of stuff. Let me say a whole bunch stuff. There are two separate issues here, if the dossier was used to get advise is a warrants to tap Trump Officials we should know that, 100 . The other issue at play, Andrew Mccabes wife democratic politician cant get donation from other democrats politicians and organizations to run her campaign, that cant be kept separate what Andrew Mccabe is completely ludicrous. We discussed this on sunday morning futures. I just realized we spent the whole weekend between cashin in and sunday morning futures. We keep going. Harlan, you wont be here. Civil servant highly respected on both sides. Trish however, i still think you know, you owe it to the country and certainly your spouse to have some kind of a chinese wall at home. You doesnt know there wasnt one. That is the thing. Youre acting trish she knew he would lead the investigation into, allegedly got cleared by the ethics committee. I dont know how you get clearec about that. Perception of conflict of interest, i dont care whether he was able to dismiss it or not. But, americans shouldnt be looking at this, and scratching their heads and wondering about it in the first place. Same thing why bill clinton should take 500 grand from the russians after the uranium one deal closed. You shouldnt do certain things. Im sorry that is the way it is and shouldnt be. Lets get back to this, jessica, i think danger for the democrats in all of this, what we might actually learn is that it wasnt the russians embedded in the Trump Campaign, but actually the russians were having a big effect on the Clinton Campaign in terms of feeding them false information, via this dossier, then taking it seriously enough. Maybe that of a affecting what the Obama Administration did. It could be democrats wind up in a lot of trouble here . I guess i have to be open to all possibilities because this is the worlds craziest political scene what has gone on here for the last two years but i dont see that happening. I dont think there would be a probe into russian collusion with the Trump Campaign unless there was good reason for it, including the loyalty pledge trump asked of comey. That is what Andrew Mccabe was talkingc about last week on capitol hill. No one talks about that, that came up in the discussion, he allege he had to have confirmed jim comeys account of that. We all know that is a problem. Doesnt matter what your political stripes are. Comey trish comey told them after. But i question whether people are making too much out of that because i think you know what . If you go to work with someone and youre on their team, then saying hey, you with me or arent you, is not necessarily at least in the business world, harlan hill, an unusual thing to ask. It is not business though. It is politics. Well okay, lets take a step back here really quick. This entire question, and trish laid it out so cleanly on the dossier, is that it does seem that there, if there is any accusation of collusion, it that the Democratic National committee and Hillary Clinton as campaign colluded with russian operatives to lose the election. Unsuccessfully, to produce this dossier to smear and undermine and libel President Trump. When you look at this, what we need to know did the fbi participate in the production of rosenstein asked about this on december 13th, by congressman dissanities from florida, he was asked did the fbi pay for this dossier in any form . He would not answer the question. It is just mind blowing. Trish because i mean anybody could create any kind of dossier on anyone. Absolutely. Im making one on harlan right now. Jessica, i already got one on you. Trish anyway, to be continued. Certainly with jessica this afternoon. Thank you so much. Harlan, good to see you. Merry christmas to you. Were going to be right back. Is this a phone . Or a little internet machine . It makes you wonder shouldnt we get our phones and internet from the same company . Leaving every competitor, threat and challenge outmaneuvered. Comcast business outmaneuver. Trish we got the down a little touch today, down 21 points. Not too much of a big deal there. Had been up earlier in the session but you know despite it being down a touch and the day is still early we are on pace for the ninth straight month of positive territory growth in the dow, the longest streak weve seen in 59 years. So what is driving the growth in the market . Is it fundamental growth in the economy . Joining me from the floor of the nyse, nicole petallidesc and kingsview ceo scott martin. Good to see you both. Nicole what are they telling you down there . It is fundamentals, earnings, the confidence in the tax bill and recipe of all those things put together and coming off of obviously some tough years but things seem to be rolling really well. They certainly dont seem to be stopping. In fact when you see the dow is up 25 this year or 35 since the election, everything that is coming in on the economy is doing great from labor to housing to confidence. Trish scott, you know one of the things that concerned me a lot during the last administration we didnt see anything in the way of real Economic Policy out of the Obama Administration. So instead you had the fed being extremely aggressive. The fed is still, largely aggressive but they are in a raterising environment. So things are different. Theyre not printing to the same extent they were back when they had to during the obama years. So, you talk about raising rates, right now, alongside an economy that fundamentally is growing, you would think it would even out . Is there anything, i guess, what im asking is, is there anything that could get in the way of this bull market . There are always things,c trish. Those are the ones that typically hurt the most are ones you dont see. If we think back to market dislocation events, things come along nobody is looking for. Trish i dont know. I always see them. I dont mean to brag or anything here, but i tend to run scared. I mean i predicted the tech meltdown before it happened. I predicted the 2008 years and years before it happened but scott i dont feel right now as concerned as i have been during previous times in my career. I say that only because i feel fundamentally were starting to see some improvement and that excites me. So i get it, you can have events that happen but it is not as though there is a credit crisis lurking around the corner . No, that is true, and i like the way nicole put the reasons that the market seems to be doing so well and probably reasons that your confidence is so high, trish, theres a broad base here. There is earnings growth. There is a new tax plan afoot. Housing market and guys, there is soon to come, hold on to your hats here, 4 gdp print inc 20. So it is coming. Housing market, were pretty much at full employment, say job market cools off there, are other parts of the economy that will pick this off. No longer to your point about the Obama Administration, trish, do we have Economic Policy or lack thereof basically to destroy the middle class which is what he did. If you look at prospects and policies of the economy going forward, it should be a lot broader based recovery for all. Trish people forget that because the fed, with all the moneyprinting they did effectively rewarded anyone with capital and effectively came at the expense of labor. So that did hurt the middle class. Hopefully things change. Nicole, scott, thanks so much. Well be back with more. Trish this new tax plan is already bringing some mens of the left members of the left lashing out at it in bizarre ways. Rosie odonnell bashing House Speaker paul ryan on twitter saying hell, quote, go straight to hell for the bill. And get this, a Los Angeles County psychologist thought it was a brilliant idea to send a box of manure to steven ma any chins bel air doorstep. Why are people so against letting americans keep the very money theyc earn . Joining me right now to discuss, bell point chief strategist david nelson. So, look, i get it, its political, and the democrats dont want to go along with anything that this president is doing. But ive got to point out one of the strange complaints about this, and im not talking about the private equity side, because we can theres plenty of time to talk about that. That is rewarding fat cats. But the complaint from democrats is that this is somehow hurting the middle class, that it doesnt give tax cuts to the middle class. My argument would be theyre not giving enough tax cuts to the people who actually pay the taxes, who happen to be high earners. But the middle class does get a tax cut. They do. Trish so these talking points are all wrong. Thats the rhetoric, and those are the sound bites, and youre going to continue to hear that. But behind closed doors democrats are saying, oh, my god, what if this actually works . [laughter] youre looking at possibly 3. 5 growth next year. Markets are a goodies counting mechanism, they tend to look out, and right now the indications are pretty good. Not just the markets, the economic datas getting stronger. Several companies have come out and given their workers a raisec bonuses, Companies Like fedex, dramatically increased their guidance on the heels of this. For democrats, it kind of changes the calculus for 2018. Trish so theyre realizing this might actually work i think theyre terrified of it. Trunk trish actually not get anything out of the 18 elections. Yeah. I was laughing at the Rosie Odonnell comment. Rosies my first call when i want to talk to a financial professional who has their finger on the pulse of economy. [laughter] hollywood, no pulse. Trish well, thats the thing, i think unfortunately a lot of members of the media, frankly, and certainly of hollywood do not understand economics, they do not understand tax policy, and unfortunately, a lot of politicians dont understand it either. They think if you act as an economist or a wall street professional, you somehow know about it. Doesnt work that way. Youve got to put a lot of hard work in. Trish and you give more money back to the people who are actually making it, and it empowers them and the economy in great ways. So good to see you. Merry christmas. You too. Trish im going to see lots of you all tonight, today across the fox news network. Before we go, im going to be filling in for neil cavuto on the Fox News Channel at 4c p. M. And canada, but in this former colony its more like reboxing day. Make sure youve got your receipts as you pack up that toy that didnt work or that ugly sweater that grandma got you.
