Congressman, one of the things that really tied you guys up in knots unnecessarily were the projections from Congressional Budget Office that underestimated the impact of tax cuts, had you considered a lot of stuff that got you a lot of bad press, can you really reform cbo and get realistic projections for the future so you can do vigorous muscular tax cuts in the future instead of worrying about pay fors and things like that, just do it. Theres been very little. I know. We know they can do 3 and a half percent. 4 in the American Economy. Redo the models for cbo. Youre right. Criticism is a valid criticism. Theres been a shift over the past few years to insist on dynamic scoring from the cbo which is a good trend, but theres a lot of more work to be done and in my view, theres been yielding of Congressional Authority to bureaucrats who are unelected, many who are in the offices that deal great deal of influence over the process.
