And as Lawmakers Debate policy, the Sexual Harassment allegation keep coming. Now republican congressman trent franks will resign after he asked female staffers if they would consider surrogacy. Whats going on down there in d. C. . Weve got more straight ahead. To our top story, another strong jobs report, i love telling you this news, how the economy is doing just great. Our own adam shapiro has the details for you. Adam . Reporter the numbers do not lie. Lets recap, 228,000 jobs added in november, which beat the estimates, remember, some of the estimates coming in below 200,000, and the private sector on fire, 221,000 of the jobs are private sector positions. The Unemployment Rate 4. 1 , it held steady but at a low that we havent seen in almost two decades. Now, there were revisions to all of this, the october revision was down, the september revision was up. The end result, the net was a gain of 3,000 jobs. Average hourly wages were also up twotenths of a percent. Where does all of this go . This is a strong jobs report. Gary cohn, the economic adviser to the president had this to say earlier on fox business network. You look at the employment report today. Were down to 2. 6 . Manufacturing unemployment. 4. 1 , unemployment here. Look at business leaders. You talk to business leaders. I talk to business leaders, Small Business leaders, big business leaders. The nfib came out with numbers the other day how excited Business Owners are to hire people. Over 50 are hiring people and cant find people in the workforce. The numbers are staggering. Reporter now, trish, there is one thing, not part of this report, but we cover the fed at fox business and you see this in the fed reports and the minutes from the meetings. We have a fed meeting coming up, they talk about the labor market and you see in the beige book especially how different districts talk about labor shortages, and employers having trouble finding people to hire for jobs, in some cases paying those people more, in other cases theyre not. And you see that reflected in the average hourly wage number, not as high as everyone would like it, from the administration to the fed, but the bottom line is 4. 1 unemployment with 228,000 jobs, im not mad at that. Back to you. Trish ill take it. The hope is that wages will start to follow. Adam, thank you so much. Joining me kings View Asset Management cio scott martin. Scott, 24, 302 on the dow. Great news on the employment front. The possibility of lower corporate taxes. Not a lot to argue with, right now. How are you feeling about investing . How are you feeling about the future . Pretty good, trish, looking at jobs report, this is broadbased gains. This is through the 10 or 11, however you count it s p sectors. This is one of the most broadbased gain job reports weve seen all year, trish to. Me, this is a great thing like the back of a tax reform, tax cut package with respect how its going to treat corporations, maybe not so much individuals with respect how the rates change. But either way, the jobs numbers are great with respect to a backdrop of a growing economy, 3 economic growth, you got to to be happy here. Trish its great, you got to be happy. You could say youre really happy and happy enough not to necessarily do all this that they need to do on tax reform, but i still want them to do it and want them to do it because its important for the United States of america to be as competitive as you possibly can on the world stage and corporations arent competitive enough in that we are hindering them through a high tax rate. You brought up something else, the individual side, and scott, im there with you because i want it all, and i think that they could have given us a whole lot more. There are plenty of individuals out there, paying more as a result of this tax reform, and there are plenty of individuals that wont really see any meaningful benefit do. They fix it down the road . What do you think is going to happen . Gosh, trish, this is the opportunity. I think youre right. I think this is i want it all, i love everything you said by the way. And the people that pay more taxes are you, me and a lot of the viewers. Corporations make it okay, thats fine, because they hire us, pay us and spend money too, but this notion of phenomenal tax reform that we heard trish in february and march, seemed so far gone, doesnt it . To your point, i agree, though, you made a good point initially which is its better to have the money in the coffers of the corporations than the government because theyre going to spend the money smarter, wiser and better than the government. Trish it should help the individuals because individuals will have a better shot at getting a better job and Getting Better wages if the companies have more money, and i dont mean to finish your sentence, but i think were in agreement on that. Very true, and the companies can spend more money on benefits. They can put more money in the 401 k . They can contribute more to a safe harbor contribution or whatever is going on at the 401 k situation, because the companies are better off having the money in their hands than it is the government. Trish okay, i feel im better off having to put money in my hands than leaving it in the governments hands or corporations hands. Again, the individual side of this is truly lacking. Now they may pull a rabbit out of the hat last minute here. Still an opportunity do that. They are negotiating on the salt front. Scott, what would be your hope as we get into the final days. What would they do to fix the individual side of this . Listen, i think theyve got simplify the code. It doesnt look like theyre going to do this. Cut down the tax brackets. Donald trump said, remember, were going to fill this out on a post card, make this simple. Cut down the tax brackets, make it simple for every modern american to understand what theyre going to take home, what theyre going pay . Limit deductions and increase the itemized things can you do, and make sure everybody can understand what they take home, that is not happening in the tax plan so far. Trish and the other thing i keep talking about here on this program is their inability to address the private Equity Investors handout effectively that they get. It could have saved them 100 billion. They opted not to do this. Donald trump campaigned on this. He said you know hillary wont touch this. Obama wont touch this. They wont touch it because these people are too important to their campaign coffers. Thats why theyre not touching it. He promised he would, but guess what . The senate and the conditions, they didnt bother to do a darn thing, speaking of donald trump. Hes out tweeting right now and i read great news. Unemployment rate among hispanics dropped to 4. 7 , the lowest ever recorded. Bringing into the conversation with us here, scott, Heritage Capital president paul schatz. And you know what . The numbers as we have said from the start of the show, they do not light. As much as the left hates donald trump, as much as they hate conservatives or anybody on the right and they hate their economic policies, its clear that what he has done so far, paul, has been beneficial. Thats right, i think the big thing is as we all know, the left wants to redistribute the wealth from the job creators and the successful people to the masses. Remember, which stat you want to pick, 47 of the people mitt romney famously got in trouble for that, dont pay taxes. To the points earlier, they do a lot more with the single brackets. Thats everyones disappointment. If they want to give a kick in the rear end, make the first 80 grand of income tax free or 50 grand or 60 grand. Dont give the standard deduction of 12 grand. You give the middle guy a big kick. Trish you know, look, lets not forget everyone, you got to cut taxes for the people that are actually paying the taxes, right . And theyre not doing that. Cutting it for corporations which pay a lot in tax, i say good job, but do something for everybody shelling out money in the federal government every single week in the paycheck. Cut it for them and didnt take enough of an opportunity on that front. Scott and paul. Good to see you, guys, thank you so much. Congress avoiding a Government Shutdown for now, lawmakers passing a twoweek stopgap to buy time on military spending and immigration. And just moments ago President Trump signed the bill which keeps the government running through december 22nd. A little life line there, but the 22nd, days before christmas, what happens at that point . Blake burman live at the white house with more. Hey, blake . Reporter in the shortterm, it keeps the government funding for the next two weeks, no shutdown, thats what Everyone Wants to see. In the longterm, the big issues involving government funding are still there. On the one hand, democrats want to see a longterm solution, a longterm fix for daca and for the dreamers. On the other hand, the white house and republicans especially the president says that he wants to see funding for his border wall as part of a longterm Government Spending fix, and the president here at the white house moments ago as he swore in the new dhs secretary Kirsten Nielson continued to push for that border wall. Were going to get the wall, i know you want the wall, were going to get the wall. If we dont get the wall, youre going to have a lot of unhappy people, starting with me. Were going to get the wall. Reporter he wants wall funding, democrats want this longer term fix for daca. Republicans say, hey, look, the deadline there isnt until march, so this isnt something that needs to be taken up right now, but democrats say they want a daca fix by the end of this month. If we cannot solve this basic problem in a matter of days and weeks, shame on us. Were not overworked for goodness sakes. Were just not inspired to do it at this point and we need to be inspired to do it. Reporter bottom line, trish, for now, the next two weeks, the government stays open, stays funded. Republicans and democrats, all of them on the hill have, to go through the whole exercise again within the next couple weeks, but the other reality of it is right now that allows republicans to stay laser focused on tax reform, a Senior Administration official telling me today they feel they are on the same time line to get this wrapped up by the end of this year, trish . Trish fingers crossed. See if they do. Blake burman, thank you so much. President trump tweeting up a storm here today. Trish arizona congressman trent franks set to resign his post after he discussed surrogacy issues with two former female staffers. President trump out with strongest support for embattled candidate roy moore tweeting vote roy moore, and theres a new twist in the case, one of the accusers told news she wrote the year book subscription, if she wrote part of it, did it change anything here . What about democratic efforts to seize the moral high ground here . Theyre trying to basically push out al franken and its not because they think he should be pushed out but because they want the moral high ground, and they want to be able to point back at republicans and say we cleaned our house, why didnt you clean yours . I hate to be a cynic, thats what its coming down to. American majority ceo ned ryun and Christie Strategies llc and former special assistant to president george w. Bush ron christie, good to see you both. Ned, i know youre a fan of roy moores, and i know you want him to win. Whats his shot at this point . Well, i would first say, trish, maybe not a fan, but definitely want to see him win, i would actually say trish thats fair, thats fair, i should temper that. You want him to win for political purposes. Well, i think hes going to win by six or seven points, do i. I dont think its going to be that close. Im not dismissing the allegations against roy moore, and if i think if and when he wins and goes to the senate, there will be an ethics investigation into him and if any of the allegations are proven true hes then morally obligated to step down. In all this thats happening in the last few weeks whether with al franken or john conyers, we have real proof of Sexual Harassment, photographic proof of al franken basically assaulting a sleeping woman, and have payments from john conyers and payments from a congressman who should resign as well. I think this is a good thing at the same time. We dont want to have political vigilante hangings where things are true unless you can prove them false. Used to be due process where things are false until you prove them true, we need to be very careful in the situation. People that are guilty should resign, but until allegations are proven true, we need to hold judgment to see where this goes. Trish follow that true for me in this particular case with roy moore, hes disputing all of this, saying it isnt true, and a lot of republicans dont believe its true, they believe theyre made up allegation, when you talk about him winning by six or seven points, they hate the media enough believe and this is all made up, but with moore, and now this woman coming out saying she wrote part of that inscription, does that change the equation as well in that theres a Little Something for him to hang his hat on when hes declaring his innocence . I do, trish, i think the poll i saw earlier this week, 83 of likely Republican Voters in alabama think the charges against roy moore are definitively or likely false, thats why i say i think he will win, and regards to the year book, i mean, i think this does change a lot of the equation here, here Gloria Allred and the lady said this is definitive proof and hearing the story walk back a little bit as to what parts of that inscription in the year book are true. I think it raises questions, what part of the allegations are actually true, and again, see where the facts go. In the meantime, people of alabama get to vote whos going to be the next senator, and they dont believe this. Trish ron christie, how complicated is this for republicans now . In other words, if roy moore is elected and the democrats are shoving al franken out the door. Well see whether or not that happens, he gave himself a window, hes going resign in the next couple of weeks. If they shove him out door and roy moore goes in, what are the democrats going to do . Whats their playbook . Are they going to use this against republicans, moore and the president himself . Good afternoon to you, trish, yes, absolutely. This is not a legal issue that ned was describing. This is an optics issue for republicans. If roy moore wins, and i dont think it will be by six or seven points, i think he wins handily next tuesday. Well find the Democratic National committee is going run ads against donald trump. Run them against the republican majority and say the republicans dont have the moral high ground when it comes to dealing with issues and allegations of sexual assault. I would say as a lawyer as an officer of the court, looking at individual disbarred and removed from office twice for being the Alabama Supreme Court justice. Why . Because he did not follow the law. Trish to me, thats the issue, ron. All this hes disputing the allegations, you could leave that to the side for the moment and say this is a man who didnt follow the law and did not uphold the law, and ned and i talk about sanctuary cities and how ridiculous it is that the politicians think that they can ignore federal law, and ron, is that what its going to come down to, at least in your head, in terms of why he doesnt deserve this position . I think its a question about morality, and a question of ethics. These allegations have swirled around the judge for many, many years now, these women who have come forth and actually spoken on the record sound credible to me, and why would she seek the high office of going to the United States senate when we have this climate in washington, d. C. Right now where it appears a lot of people have ethics and morality problems and hand an issue where none of the other 99 members of that body i believe want to serve with him. Youre going to have a situation, the Ethics Committee is going to immediately convene here. Trish maybe they toss him out, right . Thats part of the plan. They get the seat and then they say byebye and get to put their own person in there, but they keep the republican there, and thats what they care about and i imagine you do, too. Correct, one last thing, is it worth it to keep one senate seat for one person who has such an ethics cloud above him . The honorable thing is to step aside and let an honorable person run and win the seat for the republicans. Trish ned . First of all, thats not going to happen, a little late, ron, i will say this, i find the timings of the allegations in the last five, six weeks before the election highly questionable. Ron, im not dismissing the seriousness of the allegations. At the same time, the timing of them, now some of the news today highly questionable. At the same time, trish, i think in many ways this story will continue across both party lines wi think more names being revealed in regards to the congressional hush fund. I dont think the democrats in the cynical ploy will gain the high moral ground because there will be dozens of democrats and republicans names coming out in the next few weeks. That hush fund is unbelievable. Full transparency and disclosure. We need to know who the people are. Trish absolutely, 100 . Growing calls from republican lawmakers for investigation into Robert Muellers probe into russian meddling in the election amidst allegations, bias, against the president. Is it time to investigate the investigators . It may be so. Were going to ask tennessee representative Marcia Blackburn about that very issue after this. How it gets here. The more i know, the better. Sometimes the product arrives and the cold chain has been interrupted, and we need to be able to identify where in the cold chain that occurred. We took our world Class Network and we developed devices to track environmental conditions. This device allows people to understand whats happening not only with the location of that asset, but also if its too hot, if its too cold, if its been dropped. Its completely unique. We ship fish, beef, poultry, vaccines, insulin. This is about monitoring and protecting everything we ship. I catch all this amazing, beautiful fish and then once its out of my hands, i have no control over what happens to it. If you have a sensor that can keep track of your product, it keeps everybody kind of honest that way. Its really all about the network. You are looking at trillions of transactions a year. Yesterday congress staved off a Government Shutdown, with an 11th hour bill as the president meets with the big four to discuss a twoyear budget proposal. What about republicans investigating a bias against the president from special prosecutor robert mueller. What else is coming down the pike. Here to talk about all of it, tennessee representative Marcia Blackburn. Good to see you, representative. I want to start with mr. Mueller . Do you think he needs to be investigated . Do you think he is not unbiased in this investigation as he purports to be . I think there are some questions about this, especially after the hearing took place on the hill yesterday, with christopherway and his answers, to, members of the members of the Judiciary Committee who held the hearing looking what transpired with the fbi investigation and i think more questions were raised about russia, about the dossier, about the knowledge the fbi did or did not have. I think youre going to see more, more looking into that. And of course that leads to mueller, and the situation that ask there. What is legitimate, what is not . Did the dnc pay fusion gps for this, who paid steele and got this report from the russians . Was that used to receive the fisa warrant . Just a lot of questions going there. So trish that has been circulated, right . Representative, they talked about, okay, fusion gps, which is basically political hit job operation where they go dig up anything they can on you, they may have been fed information by the russians. Commission christopher steele, the exbritish spy got a bunch batched intel trot russians. This document if you read the thing, like it is straight out of national enquirer, as a piece of on sills research. Thats right. What my constituents saying here in the tennessee, how can the government use an agency of the government for a political operation . How could this possibly have happened. I tell you why that is something that people are latching on to. They know what happened with the irs targeting the tea party and conservative organizations. Theyre beginning to go, wait a minute, this is not what were supposed to be doing with the federal government, and they are asking us, please, get to the bottom of this. It doesnt matter if it is the epa or the irs or the fbi. This is not the way things are to happen because we are to be a nation of laws. Were to abide by the rule of law. Trish we cant be struggling with some kind of oppressive government that is running amok and doing things it shouldnt do. Thats right. Gregg jarrett a colleague of ours, frequent guest on this show, he was making the point he didnt like the idea of what the fbi even was doing in terms of going after Paul Manafort in the middle of the night. This sin creasingly becoming is increasingly becoming scary stuff. Yes, i do agree with that and it is of concern to our constituents who are beginning to say, ive had some of testimony say to me, look im not a conspiracy theorist, i let you know this makes me real uneasy what were beginning to hear. They want things to come back to firm, solid footing where we know that we are all abiding by the rule of law. And, that the agencies in the federal government is working by the rule of law. They want that confidence and that assurance. They want transparency in government. They want accountability from the agencies to the legislative branch of government. They want the legislative branch to be accountable to our constituents who send us to d. C. To do this job. I think we use this, as one of those catalysts, to get change, to get accountability. And i applaud my colleagues for the job that they did yesterday. I think they raised some very important questions that i our constituents are wanting to receive answers for these actions. Trish understandably so. Yeah. Trish hah h thank you, representative Marcia Blackburn, good to see you. Good good to see you and Merry Christmas as well. Vote roy moore. Now, the president says he will not campaign for moore in alabama. He is getting kind of close tonight, but he is over in florida, set to hold a rally 8 00 p. M. Eastern time in pensacola, florida, just 20 minutes, or 20 miles i should say from the alabama border. Where we find our own Hillary Vaughn with a preview. Hi, hillary. Reporter hey, trish. A lot of people wondering if judge roy moore will cross state lines and join the president at his rally here in pensacola. But we did get the official word from the from the campaign today. Theyre saying the judge will not show up, he will not be in pensacola, but greatful to have the president rallying conservatives near alabama. Were actively encouraging supporters to attend the rally. Were expecting a lot of voters to drive over from alabama to attend the rally tonight in florida. The president doesnt have to hop over the border to stump for the republican because pensacola and mobile, alabama, share the same media market. Local stations in alabamas third biggest city cover the big event. Campaigning here let as trump reach out to grassroots voters in alabama, while keeping candidate roy moore at an arms length of the real clear politics average has more up a little more than two points. Any effort to rally his loyal alabama base here in florida could help turnout what is expected to be a cold, snowy election day there in alabama. President trump centered most of his comments about moores opponent doug jones, tweeting this morning, attacking jones, calling him a pelosischumer puppet that will block trumps agenda. That agenda is what 62 of alabamaians voted for in november. President trump also teased his rally here tonight, they have gotten a lot done in a little bit of time but there is a lot more to do. Trish says he needs that Republican Senate seat in order to get his agenda through. Trish is it. Trish thank you so much, Hillary Vaughn. Doesnt look like florida there. Too much rain. What does it mean for you if youre interested in buying this stuff. Our own Deirdre Bolton is here. Youre like the bitcoin investment. I will turn it into a verb. You mentioned sunday. Sunday is actually a big day in the bitcoin world. So the cboe and i want to mention cme, competing exchange, will start on december 18th. This sunday the cboe starts trading futures contracts based on bitcoin. So while i would think that you have to have been extraordinarily strong stomach to directly invest in bitcoin, this is a way for to participate, that still has some safety and some security, not all, you have to put down more money to trade Bitcoin Futures than for a stock future or any other kind of product. So even exchanges recognize that bitcoin, the underlying product, is a much more volatile beast than any other product that is traded right now. But the point, the larger point, that, basically bitcoin is going mainstream. This is the first sign, right . Because investors are clamoring, a lot of people want to participate. You look at the return. It is 1500 up yeartodate. So, as you know, from all investors, if you can offer a return like that on anything, people are interested. Trish so i mean, is this, helps with the liquidity . Exactly. It how to have trade. You can get in and out. The exchanges themselves of course are regulated. So it is kind of a way to experiment without some of the larger worries or complications that you would have directly buying bitcoin. There is pricing transparency. You get a quote price at beginning of the date on the futures contract. You get a quote price at the end of the day. Trish what does it mean for bitcoin though, when you say theyre regulated exchanges. Trish bitcoin is sort of the wild, wild, west. It is the wild, wild west. Trish will they have some ability to control that wild west given theyre regulated and they need to protect their customers . This is where the gray area begins. What highlights that is, are the wall street banks reaction to this. So you have jamie dimon from Jpmorgan Chase saying, bitcoin is a fraud. I will fire anybody who trades in bitcoin. That is one point of view which is draconian. Trish he is a smart guy. He is a pretty smart guy. It is also cynically worth pointing out Jpmorgan Chase is the Worlds Largest currency dealer. If bitcoin grows up, im sure that is not what jamie dimon is worried about, if bitcoin grows up to a be a fullfledged adult it would threaten margins of Jpmorgan Chase. Trish okay. Some are more nuanced, morgan stanley, french bank socgen says they will see. Goldman sachs is only bank that came out and said on casebycase basis we will process these trades. One of the amazing opportunities is really the technology. What bitcoin should enable people to do is transfer money very quickly, very efficiently at a very low cost. That said,. Thats why libertarians love it. Senator paul, is the only member of congress to be at a bitcoin conferences Something Like five years ago, he is like this is great. There is no central bank. There is no fed. There is no government. This is pier to peer. You and i decide between the two of us on the price of that fine coffee mug. You and i work it out. We pay each other, if it is your mug i pay awe certain amount of bitcoin. You accept it or decline it. So it is completely peertopeer. Trish it is fascinating concept. I encourage viewers, it sounds intimidating, people are not that familiar with it, read up on it and interesting about quite a story behind it. Shoutout to our colleagues from the wall street journal, they have a great piece what you need to know about bitcoin. All your questions, what is it, how can i buy it, what can i use it for. They have done an amazing job. Trish tune in special coverage on fox business as president takes the stage in pensacola, florida, 8 00 p. M. Eastern. Lou has it all for you. I just want to give a very special shoutout to my two little girls, my twins, elizabeth and alexander turned eight years old today. Im on my way to the party, liz. Save me some cake. We all do goody bags at the birthday parties. Happy birthday to them. Bulls jogging the markets into record territory in the final hour of trade after the november ememployment report reveals the economy added 228,000 jobs. Unemployment rate steady at 1. 1 . Here comes the fed. Is a rate hike next week now a sure thing . Some of the rally credit has to go to the fact that the government lights will be left on for another two weeks. Not months. Just weeks. That is juicing investors appetites
