Maria good morning to you. Thanks for joining us. I Maria Bartiromo ended thursday, september 20th. 6 00 a. M. On the east coast. Tax reform taken a major step forward to begin debate on legislation expected to come as early as tonight. Reports are suggesting that some republicans are considering cutting the rate to 22 instead of the planned 20 . President trump spoke about the importance of getting this done today. We cannot sit idle if i can watch ourselves losing a competition to other countries as they continue to take away our jobs because their tax codes are more competitive and less burdensome than ours. In order to achieve this bright and glowing future, the Senate Must Pass those taxes. Maria the deal could help propel them already for shane economy which is full of potential for the first time in a decade. Gdp growth in the First Quarter sitting at threepoint 3 . We gave you this number is yesterday in the relic can use its momentum industrial of 90point on top of another huge rally. The datasets across 24,000 right at the opening of trading. A turbulent holiday for American Airlines, high computer glitch says the Airlines Scrambling to find pilots to cover 50,000 flights already booked for the nfl targeting injustice or delete comes into quiet 100 million to charities important to the africanamerican community. Details as players cleats kicked up a controversy following kaepernick. During the talk all about it, and. Over pond Investment Group cio Michael Jones at war veteran and Fox News Contributor steve had said this here. Great to be here. Dagen on fire to. So much to talk about. In the crosshairs, figuratively speaking, marco rubio and what he is doing with trying to change at the last minute, the Child Tax Credit and raise Corporate Taxes, not raising them, we will get to it. Im not going to give it away, but i will start calling him marco shimer. Dagen this is important because we know their 650 billion they need to spend on this tax credit. It doesnt matter if youre a rich family, low income family, you are getting that family tax credit. Dagen now he wants to make the 2000 annual childcare tax credit refundable up to a persons payroll tax liability. This is welfare. We pay the payroll tax because we get a benefit when we retire. Its called medicare and Social Security. So that is what you pay. You get something from that when you retire. But he wants to make it refundable against the payroll tax liability. If you dont like the payroll tax, then cut it. But then you have to deal with the 50 trillion hole love in medicare. I am calling him out until a blue in the face. Drink up we will talk about that in the changes happening fast in the tax plan train to get to a vote mermaid. The chairman at ubs axel whether policy advisor for America First policy and former ceo of sek restaurants and a pastor. Chris coons here along with democratic congressman josh gottheimer. Roger williams as well. A lot to talk about this morning. Lets take it up right now with our milestone. This economy with its full potential for the first time in a decade. Gdp growth was revised up to threepoint 3 in the Third Quarter. Yesterday exceeding potential gdp for the First Time Since late 2007. President trump laid out the gdp numbers yesterday while promoting the republican tax plan in missouri. Remember i used to say we can have four and we can hit three then we are all saying forget it, forget it. It was one point to is doing terribly. Flat, even. In all fairness the stock market was going this way. And now we are hitting numbers that nobody thought possible, certainly not at this time. This is all done without the tax cut. These massive tax cuts will be rocket fuel. Little rocket man. Maria the Dow Jones Industrial average costs 1000point milestone five times since President Trump surprise election last november. We know the market is basel iii . 9 trillion since the election. The wall street journal Global Economics editor jon hilsenrath. Good to see you. Good morning, maria. Great to be here. Maria pretty good. We know that. Too bad about quarters. Do you think these tax cuts will be as President Trump put it, rocket fuel taking us even farther along than the 3 numbers we were talking about . The tax cuts will certainly help. The market is counting on them. They will certainly improve household wealth. We are going to need to see more evidence this can be sustained in a 3 level before we declare that area and have them achieve that. Having said that, it does look like weve got another big quarter in the pocket right now with the Fourth Quarter with two points higher to 3 for the Fourth Quarter. Theres no question about that. Maria you cannot underestimate what has been done already with the rollback in regulation. Police regulatory president. That is why we see 3 numbers right now. Ec deregulation in france and japan, so is the whole Global Economy gets on the deregulation bandwagon, we see acceleration not just the u. S. But Major Trading partners as well. Maria you think that tax plan goes through . In the largecap market, largely pricing and the good news. If you look down, small caps have underperformed so far this year. The big beneficiaries of job creation engines on the smallcap side of the scale has been carrying the big wooden of taxation because the big Global Companies can shift tax income overseas. The big story that is in 2018, we get this through, you will see much for job creation at the small end of the scale because they are less tax burden. The question is how much of the rally is priced in a real tax reform bill investigate diluted down through the sausage making that of the legislative process cumbersome and wall street that would be more robust than is actually delivered. You could aspect to john for you. Do you feel is the process moves along we could get a tax reform bill that isnt as robust or as aggressive as wall street expect them to pull back a little bit. Well, i think that is possible, but we are seeing that come into shape as we speak. Theres going to be a big Corporate Tax rate cut. They be 20 , maybe 22 , but something well under 35 . Lower rates for passthrough companies. The momentum they are is more and not less. A couple key senators. The surprise rate now is the senate and congress more broadly is going to deliver. They are a lot closer to getting this done and a lot of people thought they would be just a couple months ago. Trade for one of the issues being discussed at the top story of the journal today is the talk about taking the corporate rate to 22 instead of 20 . It might not sound like a lot, but it makes us a great deal more competitive by looking at the developed world Corporate Tax average of about 24 . We need to remind people to rate in ireland is 12. 5 . Does that make it different than what sense are we seeing businesses will spend the money and actually invested in buying back stock in increasing dividends. We will see a mix of both of those things. We will see them doing more investing. Weve seen investors benefiting from this. To what extent workers benefited from companies and hiring more. In the 20 growth rate. Either one of those is a lot lower than the 35 with god right now im lower than the industrial average. It is a big step in the market is pricing that in. Maria i agree with that. I know that is his right mind, but you are still talking about what large corporations is in effect to pray. 22 is fine, but the problem is that passthrough rate is trying because youre 22 in the passthrough trying to equal this out to basically appease run johnson. On the senate side, it is closer because the way they go about it is very different than the house bill is senate bill 17. 4 deduction. It takes the top rate down at the top rate set 35 , takes it down to slightly under 32 . 25 in the house with a lot of guardrails and almost 32 in the senate. Theyre trying to rationalize those two numbers as well. Maria the past ive had mine. Dagen the 22 is important because i take issue with marco rubio. Hes complaining 70 of the tax bill goes to corporation. You know what, we earned income through work. This is how you choose the economy. You dont choose the economy by expanding sound team that creates a business expense into a. We know it is the needle mover here. The individual decided the plan has been messy. Weve been talking about it every day, but the corporate side is that people expected of the economy and the markets. Do you think that 22 tax rate is necessary to get the state and local tax inductions into the senate plan . And a lot of those republicans in the house from blue states, high tax states to vote on something, is this going to be the necessary given the senate to give the house what it means . The compromise there is having some deductions for peoples property taxes of up to 10,000 or not is one of the things that Susan Collins has been pushing for and looks like shes going to get. They got through the house with the 10,000 property Tax Deduction. It looks like that is where theyre going on now. As far as the passthrough rate than what marco rubio is doing, the challenge here is the class politics that is such a big part of this. Marco rubio is pushing for they want to be able to say this is a benefit to middle income houses in maria s the Child Tax Credit to do that. Maria the Child Tax Credit is applied to all families, not just low income families. Well yeah, that is what dagen is getting out. Dagen wants to make it refundable against the payroll tax. Its already refundable in the bill against the income tax, and im holding my had because this gives me a headache. Medicare, Social Security already going broke. Medicare goes broke in less than 12 years pretty good at benefit for the payroll tax to pay. I dont know where hes getting this class warfare language and link unless hes been breaking bread with chuck schumer. Transient holding the rest of the house and senate hostage to get the vote. Jon hilsenrath commit thank you very much. Tensions are rising again with north 4 korea. That is next. Fidelity, where smarter investors will always be. Cheryl nick e. Hailey, u. S. That is their statement. Im curious to see how the airlines were out because if you remember for the burger king they had to cancel a thousand flights. There is a 75 million cost for them. They will be a cost to this and investors dont like this. You charge so much for us to check our bags and youre checking your christmas list and everything else. They are probably able to afford this. This is a major loops for the airline. A computer glitch . Of the fact that unions pushed back. They would like everyone to go to another airline have financial troubles were arriving. 15,000 flights could be canceled, so maybe 150 million because 8000 cancellations cost 75 million. Dagen at least American Airlines is giving the customers had thought that they are going to get stuck if you rollover the holidays because they can usually the last minute when they cancel your fighter they dont have a flight crew to take you where you are supposed to be doing. Although someone who has a really big trip set up for the holidays on American Compass sailing in the caribbean about what it might going to do with this information . I just need to hope that the union caved and let the pilots show up for work. Have you heard from the airline because you could be effect it here . And with america right here on the show. Is the union going to allow them to show up . They are paying time and a half. 150 of hourly pay. This would be devastating to the brain. Cybersecurity in america, facebook is stepping up its security to protect user accounts, the social media giants started using selfies as authentication measure and not working on pictures not up loaded on the website, joining us right now gary steel. Thank you. Maria your Company Provides cybersecurity of 50 of fortune 500. Thats correct. Maria are there more security measures from facebook, whats your thought on this measure and what should we expect . Well, i think it this is a gd step because it helps protection of users, what cyber criminals are doing is trying to steal you who are and act like you ta take information. I know who the person is. Maria okay. Can this kind of Technology Help against some of the state actors that seem to be the biggest sources of Security Breaches in. Absolutely. The step thats being taken here is really multifactor authentication, multiple factors to determine who you really are. We are used to entering a password. This is enter password and you have your face. Multiple factors that determine who you are so identities cant be stolen and thats a good first step to better defend ourselves from cyber criminals. Dagen given facebook and i think about the facial recognition and does that open crime in another way, maybe youre not putting yourself at risk by handing photograph of your face, are you opening, are you opening a new door for cyber criminals . I think thats interesting. Thats what we see today most frequently in companies is attackers havent gone after infrastructure but gone after the person, clicked on link and do something that will ultimately create vulnerability and exposure data. Maria is there a Downside Risk . On the net this is a really good thing, its a really good thing but always assume that cyber criminals will try to find ways actions that are targeted for individuals or better help them. From a practical perspective, when i think about a point that they target individual, the individual click on the link and so forth, im thinking about the Infrastructure Investment that would be necessary for Corporate America to actually deploy some of this kind of facial recognition technology, i mean, is it practical to think this could be a line of defense for Corporate America as oppose to hacking my facebook . Its a really good question. What we do see is use of multiple factors, meaning you have to have your cell phone in addition to password. Theres something on your cell phone that identifies that its really you and not some cyber criminal. That repts a stept and could go to facial. Dagen facial recognition on iphone 10 doesnt work all that well. Based on anecdotal evidence based on friends of mine, family members who dont have the new phone that you have trouble, if you try to to open phone, you to sit up to get phone, makeup versus no makeup. I dont like the same person when i dont have makeup on. Is that the same problem, is it a wide problem . I havent heard a lot of complaints about it. Maria apple is pushing out a fix in latest operating system so mac users resting a bit easier, they are saying it lets you log into the computer without a password on the mac, before a match everybody would type in root and get into the system. How does a flaw like that get into the system . Theres always flaws, thats a reality. It goes back to cyber criminals will take advantage of any flaw they could find. Maria is it better to wait since there could be bugs . Itll be okay. Maria okay. You get to live with that in tech. [laughter] dagen i love how real world, yeah, theyre going to be problems, suck it up. Maria what about uber, we talked a lot about uber and fallout over data breach and the fact that they have so much information on us, 57 million users were implicated in 2016 attack, the Company Covered up the breach by paying hackers to actually delete the data, now we know what went on, the Washington Attorney general for fail to go disclose the breach sooner, your thoughts on this in terms of what uber has done . Theres lots of question about how management handled those breaches. These are really tricky things deal with. Did uber do the right thing . That will come up in the courts. Its disappointing. Look, the equifax breach, yahoo breaches, these are all upsetting, uber knows where i live. Maria and it tracks you. Dagen they were tracking you for five minutes after you got out of the car so they were trying to design a social socialnetworking application. Maria not what you want from uber. Dagen hey, your friend is at the plastic surgeon. Maria you happen to be at the red light right there. In this town there are plenty of people that if you know their habits, where they live, where they tend to go and what time they tend to go there, its really dangerous, for them to try and hide this breach, this feel like a step beyond anything that we have seen in the past. I think that if you go back across this breach and others, theres a theme that people node to be notified sooner, you as consumer need to know sooner and the action it is companys takes, they need to be out in front of this and need to help people understand what really happened and i dont know that thats really happened across many of the breaches. Maria tell us about what youre doing because youre taking action. Youre making a big acquisition. We did. Maria 60 million, tell us about the deal, what is this going to help you do . Its a really interesting younger company, they basically run a browser in the cloud to you cant download malicious stuff to your laptop. Looks like youre running a laptop but its running off in the cloud somewhere where you cant get infected with malware, what we see from corporate customers today they want to allow their user to be able to use personal email at work but they dont want to be infected with that activity. This allows them to do it, it allows people to browse privately. You at work, your employer doesnt really need to know where you went. This allows that to happen and its much more important in europe with privacy standards, this is a great acquisition for us, awesome people, cool technology, we think we can fit right into channel and Great Success doing m a and its part of corporate strategy. Security is a high priority, because of breaches people are thinking about it. Its a topic of conversation and we are living in a world where unfortunately its not getting any better. Prince harry said that he fell in love with fiancee Meghan Markle but research at netherlands found out that love at first sight doesnt actually exist. After round of speed dating they found that initial attraction was based on physical appearance and the feelings were not mutual between participants. The study found that this gets better which is a problem. [laughter] the study found that men were more likely to think that they have fallen in love at first sight than women. Maria wow. Cheryl i report, you discuss. Maria so men are the romantics . Cheryl yeah. Dagen they are just shallow. [laughter] dagen dont send me hate tweets and say thats reverse sexism. Its a joke. Probably true, though. [laughter] just kidding. Maria are you ready to talk bitcoin . I am. Absolutely. Im in the market. Listen, a disruptive force, i love it because no one knows how to handle it. Dagen this is why its a bubble, pete. [laughter] maria even grandma wants in. What do you think, michael . The whole thing about something that doesnt pay dividend and its worth what other people pay for it, scare city is the key and, of course, they do control the amount of bitcoins that are produced but they cant control the number of cyber currencies that are produced. Right now there are as this thing gets more elevated in valuation, incentives to look at other crypto currencies is going to be higher. They are going to get more Trading Volume and theres going to be, you cant make more picassos. Pete you can buy 100,000 worth of bitcoins. My point is this feels im old, i lived through the, you know, when pets. Com was soaring. Dagen i said this the other day, i worked for the very First Standalone financial website. Financial news website that wasnt affiliated with a print publication, i lived through that and wrote about it. The point is bitcoin and the crypto currencies have meant to be an alternative to say credit cards. Meant to be your own bank. Dagen bitcoin is not affordable its a mechanism for speculation. Ive got myriad mechanisms for speculation i could tell you about. Its still not bitter than using paypal if your transaction maria they will be something that is used widely online whether its bitcoin at tend of the day is the question. Remember that bitcoin has to pay the irs their Capital Gains and you need maria i dont think the irs accepts bitcoin. [laughter] thats exactly right. Not yet. Thats probably the last place that bitcoin will be accepted. The fact that you can pay taxes with it. Pete or you dont have to pay taxes wit. Youre not behold to go a government or thirdparty system. Well maria thats the problem. Whats it backed by up by, its not backed up by the faith and trust of the u. S. Government . Theres a scarcity in the supply and does exist dagen theres not a scarcity of supply of crypto currency. Thats the issue. Maria we will keep talking about it. Maria i think dogs are smarter than cats. Sort of like the nfl story earlier, the dog knows to get close to the person who feeds it. Pete there you go. Maria thats true. We have some evidence. We will bring it to you right, dagen. Dagen exactly. The reason im so fired up this morning i slept nine hours last night, so ive got a lot of hollering to do at marco rubio. Maria we have a lot to talk about Family Credit coming up. We are talking about tax plan, chairman of the board ubsaxel weber is here, texas congressman Roger Williams and former ck restaurant ceo andy puzder, you dont want to miss a moment. Stay with us, big hour coming up. We kick it off with tax reform. Senate cleared a major hurdle opening vote on tax reform. They could be changes to the tax bill to get gop holdouts on board. They are considering whether to set the Corporate Tax rate above 20 , here is what President Trump and Senate Leader Mitch Mcconnell had to say about fight to overhaul the countrys tax code. The biggest tax cut in the history of our country, bigger than reagan. If they send it to my desk, i promise all of the people in this room, my friends, so many friends of this room, a great state, i promise you i will sign it. We only have to grow 4 tenths of 1 over the next ten years, four tens of 1 in the next ten years to fill that 1point trillion dollar gap that the critics is say its going to sit there. Maria i want to bring in delaware senator chris, we appreciate your time this morning. Good morning, maria, great to be on with you, itll be interesting day in markets an busy day in capitol. Maria i bet. Can you take us behind the curtain a bit. What are the major differences you guys are talking about . I think weve got a big missed opportunity, maria, where we could have done bipartisan tax reform, i joins 6 other Democratic Senators tuesday in saying, i agree with President Trumps goal that we should make our Corporate Tax code more competitive and simpler but we havent been included in the process of developing tax bill. Its being done by one party only and that doesnt usually produce great product, whether its democrats or republican who is produce the product. We didnt have hearings on the bill and as you said in lead up here, lots of amendments tonight that will change it, change it again before it ultimately comes through the senate. Itll probably pass sometime very late tonight. Maria senator, you the floor right now. What do you like or not like about this bill . What i dont like about it is will lead to more offshoring, we could have done a better job at strengthening manufacturing and im a cosponsor of several bipartisan bill that is would have provided more support and encouragement for manufacturing sector. Just to give one example. I also think it makes our tax code more complex. When it came out of finance committee, agreement that it will add a whole other tone to tax code. Its not making it simpler, lots of different provisions being added. I think if we had had a series of hearings and worked at it in the way they did back in 1986 under reagan in bipartisan way we could have achieved goals of simplification and not put us at real risk. Maria can you explain that. To us it seems real simple, tax code, Corporate Tax rate is at 35 , they want to take it to 20 , they want to do passthroughs at 25 , whats complicated . Whats complicated is that thats not the totality of the bill. Theres dozens and dozens of special provision that deal with things on the personal side, by getting into the personal side which is where most of the money is, theyve developed a far more complex tax bill than was necessary. Maria youre not talking about the corporate rate, youre talking about the individual rate . Thats right. And theres a whole series of changes in the individual rate maria you said corporate maria, in expanding the individual exception and changing the individual exemption, my preference would be to do corporate rate only and to use some of the repatriated foreignheld profits of major corporations to Fund Infrastructure and to fund one significant middletax tax break like child credit. Can you take us to the business element of this. You said you felt that the new tax code would encourage offshoring and, you know, our sense is mainly driven by Corporate America seeking a lower marginal tax rate overseas. So why do you think this bill isnt really going to help fix that problem . It makes progress towards fixing the problem particularly if we allow corporations to bring back at what i think is a 10 rate profits made overseas, but if you can bring back at 10 rate profit that is you make from intellectual property licensing overseas, you will bring ipo overseas. If you can bring lower than 10 tax, you will invest overseas than here. Theres way that is we could have incentivized manufacturing and Capital Investment here that we havent done a strong a job as we could have, getting rid of 199 expensing, for example, one of the ways we are not supporting manufacturing. Dagen senator, its dagen mcdowell, as it stands this bill that it has been put together by the Republican Leadership in the house and now the senate, theres nothing that they could do to it that would make you vote for it, is that safe to say this bill in this counter process, i would not vote for it. What i would vote is a bill that does a few simple things to make tax code competitive internationally and reduce corporate rate and to encourage the reshoring of profits overseas and dedicating those funds to middle class and infrastructure. Weve got temporary middletax cuts and permanent corporate cuts and im not convinced that it wont increase deficits and debt and i think its a longterm problem. Theres a number of republican senator that is agree and are trying to modify by adding trigger which im concerned will be too complex of a mechanism that we wont actually enforce in the future. Dagen how about putting a trigger in if it actually raises more revenue than people thought a trigger to cut taxes six years out rather than raising taxes because again if they are looking at it glass half empty rather than Glass Half Full that was just a side. Senator, thats a good point from dagen. Funny to hear that democrats talk about debt when president obama doubled it, the majority leader is right, four tenths of 1 in ten years would pay for it. Would you not recognize that growth is a factor and cbo doesnt score for that . Growth is absolutely what should be our shared goal. If we can increase the rate of growth of the American Economy it solves a whole lot of problems. So we should be angling towards a stronger progrowth alignment in our tax code, tax simplification, tax competitiveness, those will both advocate, those will both advance growth in our economy. But im not persuaded that this overall tax plan is going the lead to enough growth to pay for itself and neither are several republican senators. If we had had hearings on this bill, we would have a better understanding of that. I will remind you that cbo and jct, two bipartisan groups, Congressional Budget Office and the joint committee on taxation, sorry, havent really had a time to study this in any detail because we are racing to meet a christmas deadline. Its been 30 years since comprehensive tax reform, why not take the time to understand what we are doing in complicated bill . Maria its been 30 years and we have been talking about tax reform for almost as much as that time. How come nothing was done under the president obama years . Finally, we are get to go a point we are going to see structural change here and on the other point youre making, youre talking about two things, okay, i dont like the way the family tax credit, we want to have expansion there, you want more middleclass tax cuts and you worry about the deficit. Which is it, where does the money come from . Something has to give. You feel like youre spending too much money on tax cuts, youre not spending enough. Youre making both points. No, im not. Let me try to be simple if i can. Its a large complex bill that affects 4 trilliondollar in Economic Activity in the next decade. On the personal side theres a significant loss in future tax revenue. Some of the tax reductions at the highest rate and some of the way that is the treatment of passthroughs will cost revenue to the federal government over long time or reduce the tax burden on passthroughs, i dont think thats been well enough understood and thats where i think theres a significant risk of an increase in the deficit. There isnt enough of a middleclass tax cut in the bill. The president ran on a middleclass tax cut and the latest analysis of this bill suggests that everyone making less than 75,000 in country will end up paying more in taxes. Maria i dont think thats true. Thats the last analysis from jct. Maria youre doubling standard deduction, the first 24,000 is no tax at all, how could you say that 75,000 in income is going to pay higher taxes, it just doesnt its not in the numbers. Well, thats not my opinion, thats what the joint committee on taxation has said about the bill. Senator, how Many Democrats that are not in the camp. Thats not the camp im in. I think we can get more than 60 votes for a bill that does simplification and invests in infrastructure and that delivers a real and permanent middleclass tax cud cut. Not temporary hacks tax cuts. Maria we know what the lawmakers, the leadership on the democratic side is doing. They dont want to vote for tax reform at all. Youre saying you wanted hearings now but where were you over the last eight areas, where were you in this process was beginning maria maria, i participated in dozen meetings with the finance committee and i put out a public position paper on tax reform. This is something that ive been active on. Maria are you being heard . Let me finish, please. Cochairs of the competitiveness caucus. Series of Public Meetings and hearings and policy session on how to deal with competitiveness and i worked in manufacturing for eight years before getting here. Im as frustrated as you are that rehavent made progress on tax reform. My concern is that this is a very complicated bill that once we truly understand its detail they would not be as positive as we hoped. E wish we had more time to air it openly under the last congress we did have a whole series of hearings on it. Maria obviously we want to get this right, senator, good to see you, thanks so much. Thank you. Maria senator coones joining us there. We will be right back. They appear out of nowhere. My secret visitors. Appearing next to me in plain sight. Hallucinations and delusions. Maria welcome back, big week for bitcoin, the crypto currency surpassed 10,000, 11,000 in a matter of hours yesterday. But the rise fizzled at 15 fall back to 10,000, joining us right now mike Senior Editor susie, good to see you. Thanks for having me. Maria whats your take on the volatile week, you could call it volatile week but its been up in pretty much a Straight Line even with yesterday. Bitcoin since its inception has been a Straight Line up and thats exactly why economists are calling it a bubble, are saying that its worthless, then again theres a case that Underlying Technology is truly revolutionary. Youre talking about the block chain that bitcoin uses which is revolution of technology. Isnt the premise revolutionary is that theres no third party. Exactly. Which is a lot of the reason why it was created in the first place. Thats exactly right. If you look at the original paper it talks about peer to peer transfer of value without the third party and solve it is crucial problem which is how to prevent double spending of that currency. Question, is there any real definitive competitive advantage of bitcoin over any of the other two dozen crypto currencies that are out there adding much lower valuation . For now, it seems to be a matter of market saturation, a household name. It is when something is widely used and trust and you hear the nasdaq is going to create the opportunity to bet on futures, thats that is a compelling thing. You look at the amount of bitcoin out there, its not near it yet of 21 million. And the number of people who have bitcoin, that number could go up by a lot. Competitive advantage is it was first and been adopted the most . Sure. Is that sustainable . Thats the question. That is the key question. Pete wouldnt bit the same with the New York Stock Exchange, nasdaq and others havent been competitors New York Stock Exchange isnt on the valuation rocket. Its all a matter of price. I think the people who are saying its worthless, thats clearly not true. Clearly not true. The question is the recent runup more a sign of momentum players. Maria how do you value it . Based on what . How do i know its worth 10,000 or a 100,000 . Pete to that question, how do you value gold and any commodity. Maria supply and demand. Dagen bitcoin is a household name now but how do you again, thats something thats its well known and would prevent other crypto currency from coming along and doing it better than bitcoin. And doing it better means in some cases moving faster, transaction process faster or currency is more or less. Dagen becomes more widely accepted. Bitcoin even though its a speculative like totum, not that widely used at this point. Yeah, not much that you can do about it. Pete, your point about gold, every crash in gold, associated with new source, California Gold rush, gold prices crashed, alaska gold rush, gold prices crashed. Every timebecause you couldnt make more gold unless you found a new huge source. Maria youve got support out there. Nasdaq, you mentioned a minute ago launching the Bitcoin Futures in first half of 2018. Wouldnt they do the same for any crypto currency, though . What if bitcoin proves to be able to withstand that . Challenge to the dollar and gold. Dagen youre taking a lot of risk and i only and i only highlight the downside of bitcoin when people are like, 10,000, its going to go to 50. Its going to go 100. Maria its going to 40,000. Thats what one of the guests said. Dagen people will go out and buy stocks or buy investments to speculate on them just because its at 100 a share and my buddy says its going to 500 with no research. Is the revolutionary part of this bitcoin or is it block chain or search engine. Believers think its google, revolutionary concept to currency . Dagen thats based on the magic 8 ball. I would point out that the idea of creating a futures market its not that its going to keep going up but might go down. Make money off of that. Maria exactly. We will keep watching. We have breaking news we want to get out here, President Trump just tweeting this. The chinese envoy who just returned from north korea seems to have had no impact on little rocket man. Hard to believe his people and the military put up with living in such horrible conditions, russia and china condemn the launch. The president just tweeting that a moment ago. In the wake of the test fire. The dictator of north korea made a choice. If war comes make no mistake. It will be utterly destroyed. Correct me the higher this can go it goes really high and then it turns. It put it on trajectory higher than it would be. It would certainly be an act of war. This is a missile that could potentially hit the United States. The big question right now as what is what type of warhead was actually on this. To the point where it can put on the warhead. Can it survive the reentry process. I think the question is that were truly closer to war as nikki haley is saying i think know we are further for more. Now is seen that north korea has gotten this to the point thats too far. When you look at the risk versus the gain that the military has is the risk worth the gain at this point. Weve let north korea run for long time with us. I know you are breathing heavy on this one. At this point what can we do. As i can to give up its Nuclear Weapons program. It will put people in front of their military assets and targets. Unless someone takes them out. He is going to die a scene in there. This action brings us closer to war. No one wants it but ultimately if china doesnt really shutdown everything and bring this hermit kingdom to its knees we cant live under permanent nuclear lack mail. Either we take action now and prepare the American People for it and if you look at whats happening within the dlg email see increases. Youre already seen actions prepared for this war is not the best solution in many cases. We are moving towards that. At that north korean military. They put up with such horrible living conditions. There would be support from the u. S. They already are. We head by a lateral intelligence sharing. And they are seen where is north korea. Are we were really willing to cut off with my check trade with china. They have a treaty with north korea. [indiscernible] our americans willing to pay more. I wanted cheap tv so i could not live in letter a nuclear threat. In theory i think its a good idea in practice i think we are dealing with something that weve let go too far the last administration focused on iran instead of north korea. They went up against the concept. This is gone this far. Weve only started to impose broad sanctions a year ago. You can put pressure on the singapore in enforcing these very sanctions. Let me just finish my thought. Weve been very easy on china and sanctioning the financial institutions. Its only last week that they put four companies on its financial blacklists. In terms of shutting down Financial Companies in china and doing business. They only were put in place a year ago. That is something that they have a raise. And that we need international corporation. So that we can see this. Obviously the United States would have to take the lead. What makes this objectionable to the u. S. Is not that youve let them get nukes. What the plan in our government is is to simply incentivize the military right now. They look to china and every one is a billionaire. Is so economically back word. I think that is what they want. And now put your money where your mouth is. They incentivize them to do something. Get an ekg reading through your apple watch. Looking at a number of options, what i call the trigger issue, we have not resolved them yet, i will not let the i am point of view be enemy of the good. Tax cuts, as he likes to call them the president essentially said, it is gut check time for lawmakers. Now comes the moment of truth. In coming days the American People will learn which politicians are part of the swamp and can when want to drain the swamp. Maria as you know timing on hull is always fluid possible that the final vote happened sometime later tonight or in the overnight hours either way expecting to happen before the end of the workweek. Back to you. Maria we will be watching, blake burman with the latest there joining me right now from capitol hill House Financial Services member republican congressman Roger Williams of texas House Financial Services member cochair bipartisan problem vovrlz caucus, good to see you both thank you so much for joining us. Thank you. Kick off right now congressman williams with this trigger, in case growth doesnt cover it, the cost of tax cuts, what is your take on this . So a trigger is in place, if you dont see the kind of revenue that you have been talking about, from this tax plan trigger goes in tax rates go up good idea. I dont like it at all pb you a a businessperson, i think it is wrong, the problem is we need a trigger to if we dont reach certain thresholds we need to cut expenses not raise taxes talking about tax reform for crying outside allowed dont need to say wear raising taxes would literally stop planning if short need massive cuts in federal government. What is that is a great point actually where would that be what do you cut because we are talking about this every morning, and it just seems like there is no money around, you are trying to get a hundred billion dollars here a hundred billion dollars there, scrap together some money, to pay for this Corporate Tax cut what would you cut in spending you just made a 47 trilliondollar budget over 10 years, with virtually no cuts in spending. There is a lot of waste fraud abuse in washington a lot of people dont want to cut i can tell you, people listen to your show main street america short 1,000 dollars find 1,000 dollars to cut we can do that up here, if that is if we have the desire to do it so there are plenty of room to cut but we dont need to be raising taxes statement telling people we are unaccounteding taxes. Representative let me turn to you your take on this tax bill. Well i agree why new jersey a huge call in our stocks a huge tax hike on new jersey northeast, eliminating state local Tax Deduction property Tax Deduction a huge tax increase in new jersey over there at the same time loading up adding to National Debt no fiscal responsibility i am seeing the tax hikes i cant believe we are facing this what they are going to do to gut my economy in new jersey. Let me ask you about that much has been said about the certain states that are socalled donor states, giving more to the federal government than actually getting back, whether new jersey, or new york, or connecticut or illinois, california, the biggest user of that state and local deduction salt, 6 million californians use it what other category of socalled federal spending in state is Retirement Benefits right, three quarters consist of Social Security payments including payments to veterans Retirement Benefits to federal workers disability payments they see are largest classifications of funds flowing to the state, that is a big reason, why the blue states are failing poorly in total capping of the federal dollars isnt it . It is not apples to apples you are state is getting a lot in terms of they kinds of benefits. Listen there is going , of course, you are not going to mess peoples Social Security roger and i both agree about that here is my issue doesnt make sense we did i second numbers there is a lot more in there a reason why mississippi getting 4. 38 for every dollar paying federal taxes we are getting 33 cents back, for every dollar in my district, no matter ensure getting more money on benefits that is my i understand does not make up 4. 38, i will break down math for you he, what is very clear is weve got states mooch errs others like mine that are paying way more in to the senate than getting back. You are a moocher getting all this benefit id say this was a clear tax hike bill now adding on to what we are paying in middle so i will do the math for you, for everybody show you that after this tax hike bill how we are going to get more crushed, in my state, and expected to pay even more. Do math go ahead. Sure, if you look at the 4. 38 break down the dollar youve got a ton of money going in for things like roads, bridges, other infrastructure, that are not going to our state you look at between new york and new jersey where we have clearly we have a the northeast corridor as you know a clear center of commerce in the country weve got roads, bridges falling part cant get a michael back for dollars paying in to fix roads and bringz. You are not mentioneds the monday for Social Security, for money for veterans, retirement, look, i am with you i live in new york my taxes will go up, i understand what you are saying. It is a red herring. Yeah. A clear red herring a piece of it but there is much more much more waste into places ridiculous should cut waste make sure we are Getting Better return on investment. Funny you say i think we both agree turn to Roger Williams agree not touching Social Security you said a second ago we need cut spending if not going to reform Social Security what are you talking about in terms of cutting spending where you going to cut we know what is going on all the spending in Social Security and other benefits. What is what do you say. There is no question about that we need to begin to start cutting something for crying outside loud. If you want the talk about cut look at every department, you can i am a tenth amendment guy get government Smaller Government should do three things. Defend boards, infrastructure, get out of the way let this great engine of of expect alism main street begin to work, that is what we need to be doing but we got to get serious about it, and we need to cut expenses not raise expenses, i am excited maria about this tax bill this is going to be great i am a businessperson so excited out there about chance to get more money in january less withholding going to spend that examine commutation driven nation good for this country. Just lets not forget what josh is saying, basically saying yeah, you are looking at a Corporate Tax cut going to be impactful partly you are paying removing state and local Tax Deduction will mean higher taxes for some people congressman williams are you comfortable with a corporate are a rate passthrough rate of 22 should it go that way. I have also a been 20 i think, Corporate Tax should be around 20 , so i want to stick with that again, we are talking about raising it to 21, 22 to pay for something, the pay for should be the recollection size of federal government, nother raising taxes, so 20 is a great rate will let corporations people make more money, put more to work let them realize american dream, i say will 21, 22 not deal breaker for me less than we are paying right now in time worded about trillion half dollar alsor worried about the fact you are a teacher in paramus, new jersey will go 5,000 dollars businesses going to leave i want to cut the Corporate Tax rate you cant load up in backs o in new jersey expect to us carry the bill i get your point. First thing that mr. Murphy did as soon as he won governor of new jersey, was to talk about miss millionaires tax, first thing that he said now he doesnt want to do it he has to rethink sees deduction going away dont you think overtime, a plan like this, removes this deduction, is going to correct some of these Governors State legislators all they can do is raise taxes on rich . Maybe they need to think about state taxes bringing them lower, and pulling in spending, isnt this the kind of that i think so that is going to change that kind of behavior skriovertime. Vr state open pooks make sure more responsible including my state you cant overnight flip switch say you cant deck property, state and local taxes, home values go down 10 administrators. How do you get guys to skai we got to rethink this maybe mirn tax not a good idea. I think you are hearing everyone saying we are going to rethink this. Weve got to rethink this a huge tax hike from federal government suddenly on backs we have housing prices freefall, housing freefall ton of pressure on local government businesses will leave people underwater in homes. I think you are right. Watch the recession impact then i dont understand how we ignore the fact this adds to deficit going to pile on National Debt. Maria congressman be honest president obama you been doubled debt in eighth nears i didnt hear peep out of anybody when doubling debt to 20 million. I was peeping you were peeping best way to fix issues, move to texas we got no personal income tax. I know that i know i think we are i am paying for it, i got it. Well, look there is no doubt we are going to see mobility people will legislative high tax states i agree we will see if it moves the needle on behavior here, congressman great conversation appreciate both of you joining us talking about all the important issues, sir. Maria welcome back, new details about accusations against matt lauer fired by nbc for appropriate sexual behavior Lauren Simonetti with details. We got that news that matt lauer was fired yesterday morning now that 24 horurs later a statement from former today show cohost by savannah guthrie. Received a statement from matt let me he had are a it to you there are no wrordz to expresses sorrow regret for the pain i have caused others by words and actions to the people i have hurt i am truly sorry, as i am writing this, i realize the damage, and appointment i have left behind at home, and of nbc, some of what is being said about me is untrue, or mischaracterized there is inform truth to make she feel embarrassed and shame i regret my shame is shared by people i cherish darrell repairing damage will take a lot of time soulsearching i am committed to beginning that effort, it is now my fulltime job last two days forced me to take a very hard look at my troubling flaws humbling i am blessed to be surrounded by people i love i tlaifrng them for patience and grace. He is not denying anything. To height what he said, there is enough truth in these stories to make me feel embarrassed. So all this went down, monday. When we believe an intern was working with matt at sochi olympics three years ago texting messages from Washington Post they say pictures, pretends to nbc news 24 hours later, he is fired since then, we are hearing other allegations from other women variety had a very explicit story working on because in light one of Harvey Weinstein work on this expose two months time have several women saying he had secret button this his office, where he can close the door, and New York Times, and this has been confirmed by nnbc news two more women came forward after the firing, so now we are starting to learn about the depths the question is did nbc news know they say no, they did not. And as we try to protect an industry the today show 500 million a year in revenue matt lauer made over 20 Million Dollars a year, fixture on that show for the network do you protect him at expense of what was going on in the workplace. This is a network nbc overall, msnbc killing farrow piece working on on Harvey Weinstein he ended up having to take it somewhere else publishing details uncovered in new yorker after the original New York Times story on Harvey Weinstein worth pointing out. Maria lends to the belief that they were start of tamping it down no big deal. Now awkward for matt lauer to present that. Working in tv i raise this question, was he really the only individual who could sit in that chair, on that show . Of all the people who are terrific on television. You are saying why protect somebody so much if in fact there is bad behavior going on. Dagen right. Everyone at some level replaceable important principal. Dagen remember that every minute is a gift, in life and, look. Maria that is right, thank you for that coming up, failing the job on wells fargo, how Consumer Financial Protection Bureau dropped all balls on actually protecting consumers from the bank moss myriad of scandals chipotle to wrap up a new ceo founder steps down over sales and Health Scares what it will take to turn around the flagging franchise, back in a moment. Hi. Im the one clocking in when youre clocking out. Sensing your every move and automatically adjusting to help you stay effortlessly comfortable. I can even help with a silent night. Maria welcome back, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau supposed to be ultimately consumer advocate against bank fraud to wells fargo quite a different story the very latest. Good morning to you you have been on this for weeks now, listen to this, two Staff Reports ive got right here working for House Financial Service members obtained by fox business far from protecting consumers from bank fraud the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ignored warnings of trouble at wells fargo reports issued in june september, of this year reveal a bureau slow to react investigation failed to be comprehensive or independent. Details of the scandal came to light december 21, 2013 when l. A. Times published an article about wells fargo employees, news of consumer accounts without knowledge to generate fees, the Los Angeles City attorney launched investigation filed as i have suit may 2015, now despite having working inside wells fargo at least one whistleblower report as early as 2013 cspb did little to follow money according to report Committee Investigators were unable to corroborator cfpb conducting, it is practices. The support terminals bureau founded in investigation, they were sent press clipgs and banks own records so i think this is 6 hundred Million Dollars every year wasted the most amazing thing i found that what the cfpb was interested in following not big case that was, but race discrimination thought wells fargo had race discrimination in credit card operations give a higher lines of credit than africanamericans. The reason that we are looking at this is because of all of the brouhaha over the Consumer Financial Protection Agency the president want Mick Mulvaney in the number two person said i want to run it really . Supposed to be defending consumers where are you with all scams. Rationale disparity you are saying nonwas founded. Known was founded they could have gone to other problems auto loosenealones, peo doing business internationally lots of things could have done at the missed. Maria of course, this was Elizabeth Warren sort of baby just want to stick to it the banks. How much do you think this comes of you know, congress can write reports on this agency but they cant actually supervisor it they dont he supervise is no accountability to congress how much do you think this failure to look at the big problem, and pursue whatever the interests of the director was, how much do you think that comes from way it was strshgd no accountability . Well i think the huge thing obviously a big problem Mick Mulvaney running bureau you got to think some things will change. Maria he said you cant believe how many power i have running this wait till you see how much power i have when you take a look, at the power and the independence and no accountability consumer final Protection Agency thank you for pointing that out joining us America First policy adviser former ceo c. K. Restaurateurs andy puzder thank you for joining us reaction to the failure to investigate wells fargo, what are they doing . Well, i think it is a problem with all of these doddfrank agencies it doesnt do what it is supposed to do regulate large banks try and prevent financial problems in fact, the fines wells fargo paid total for all agencies totaled 185 million in, a quarter where they made 5. 6 billion so not really a very big punishment, what doddfrank does with this agency does they hurt the small banks the community banks, i got to believe if a small bank did what wells fargo did they would be out of business now, so it, it the law is defective mulvaney right too much power unregulated not responsible to any other branch of government as it should be, hope the courts would strict down i think this is the agency for disaster i am not surprised by the result. Dagen mcdowell to quote the great Maria Bartiromo the reason the economy is firing the way that it is, and growing north of 3 because of rollback in regulations. Because the stranglehold on business is over. According to this administration, how much do you think is relate to the Economic Growth how much of that is related to the big rollback in regulation . A tremendous amount, if you look at you look at the the different oogs the different independent organizations, that measure consumer confidence, and confidence in the business community, they all shot right up after the election, it wasnt a preelection even if it was a postelection event when businesses are optimistic they invest whens consumers are optimistic they spend we are seeing results of that second and Third Quarter with two quarters of 3 plus gdp are getting we havent seen for years, i think maria is absolutely right, it is deregulation, look, i know if you followed this much, but there was recently a all right. Out that said the federal registry page number reduced by 32 . Maria yeah. First nine minutes trump agency reagan reduced it 33 but took years he is going to be most deregulate lateing president in history. Joke in Congress Number of pages, that president obama increased is equivalent to 15 king jamess bibles, really. It is it is the actual regulations coming down but i think it is also it is attitude of the regulatory agency. Yes. So you know as small businessman i can tell you for the last a lot of last 8 or 9 years you didnt feel like your regulators were to make things better they are to see what they could catch you at adding to legal bills things not adding to employment a new attitude from regulatory bodies we are here to see if kick improve things for employees for customers as opposed to were here to get fines out of you, that i think is as important, as the actual regulations themselves. Maria yeah. Absolutely. I wish we start calling them business our facilitators instead of regulatory maybe would facilitate instead of regulate late zmoog if you feel your government is trying to enable to you do business better supportived to holding back changing the psyche. Chipotle, obviously, issues there, ceo for you on announcing his plan to step down, company struggled to come back from e. Coli, neurovirus stock up 5 following the announcement, what is your take on this can chipotle get back on track . It can, you know it is a very good brand, the currency created it was a chef it focused on health foods the way south of the problem is they made a lot of people sick the way you solve that the real problem reason they made people sick was either supply chain was defective or the way they prepared the food was was defective and you need an operator to come in solve those problems, and i think the market is per ceasing they will soldier those problems would get well get back on track a positive move i think market reacted appropriately. Good to see you thanks so much, we will be right back chairman ubs weber, up next. Maria welcome back. Good thursday morning. Thanks so much joining me i am Maria Bartiromo it is thursday about november 30, your top stories right now, 8 30 a. M. On the east coast, tackle Tax Reform Senate could vote as early as tonight, to cut taxes, but reports say there is a chance the corporate rate wont go as low as we expected, 20 . Investors smofbt that he tax reform to look at markets again momentum is fierce dow industrials to hit 24,000 at open this morning, up another 90 points right now as we speak, futures a big rally at start of trading, european markets also higher this morning, by the way, pretty much off the highs, but firmer tone with exception of ft 100 down a fraction. President trump, tweeted earlier this hour, the stock market hits new record high confidence enthusiasm abound more great numbers coming out, Global Market action you saw europe asia overnight, there you saw weakness, almost across the board with exception of japan, up 1 2 of 1 could be turbulent nor are American Airlines passengers a computer glitch has airlines straj strambling. Bitcoin as fast as currency soared to 11,000 dollars came crashing down for a while, yesterday. Look at mixed reaction from wall street biggest banks, apple going out on its own giant reportedly planning inhouse chip production, those chips will go into aphone starting next year according to the nikkei, amazon alexa in office indigent wants to trans form your workday this half an hour Strong Economy in tax reform, the senate vote on tax overhaul plan could come tonight the bill expected to add 1 1 2 trillion dollars to the deficit, but will republicans believe the tax cuts will spark expansion and encourage growth 3. 3 , joining he right now chairman of ubs axel weber good to see you thanks so much for joining us. Good morning. How would you characterize things surprised to see 3. 3 growth. No i think pretty much goldilocks environment good as it can get best environment we have seen 10 years after crisis we are in late cycle, so the economy, is very strong unemployment is at very low level, inflation, that has been sort of subdued for a while, is starting to pick up, we are going to see more of that coming out in next one or two years. Isnt it interesting to see it that is not just u. S. , there is a sin conized globally story going on right now, youve got firmed Goldman Sachs barclays talking about 4 Global Growth ethics year is that what you are seeing globally . Actually, if you look at the why it happened it is all down to energy, the Energy Rebound has been driving almost the entire pickup of growth in developed market economies driving 80 of the rebound of prices and consumer inflation so really, the big story behind it is the oil rebound has been very important for investment, you know you can almost say china is to trade in Global Economy energy to Investment Energy related investments particularly in u. S. The biggest part behind these numbers. I had not really looked at that interesting point that you make, ubs largest wealth manager 2 1 2 trillion dollars, in assets right now, how do you invest what do you tell clients right now, who are looking at markets saying okay things are good, but 5 1 2 trillion dollars market value gain since election in u. S. Yeah, but you also talk to people wont most likely be very soon a tax tax reform that will help corporates a lot we expect if tax rates go down to 20 , could easily mean another 10 move next couple months, on on the markets up corporates will invest they can basically, claim five years investment costs, up front going to pay lower taxes, big tax reduction of Corporate Taxes is going to do really well for stock market. Lets talk about that, axle the truth is some people have problems with individual side of this tax plan, but the corporate side of the tax plan, that really is being seen as having the impact, your Business Manager chairman of the largest asset manager out there, wealth manager you are talking about this moving the needle on the economy, how does that happen do you think, that companies will see a 20 corporate rate say weve got money saved down from 35 i will invest more hire more works. Invest more in business you will see corporates that have been, basically showing profits abroad big discussion be roion profit shift have gone high taxes in u. S. More favorable than taxes abroad getting reversed higher tax income more investment as a result of that, and dynamic effect will be positive. It is very hard to say at this point whether fwaul 1. 5 trillion increasing debt you also talked about, but short term lead to increase in debt. Medium to long term going to positively flews fiscal behavior as well. How do we know Companies Going to not just buy back stock is that a worry or as President Trump said once that is okay, too. Well, it is i side before, so even if they do it later it will be very bioon positive on stock market it will provide momentum asking what do we tell clients this is not the point in time where you want to move out of your investments. And go liquid the economy is one or two more years to go fed in my view will continue to raise rates slowly, so you know, one more rate hike this year expecting two next year maybe three the year after, but at that point in time shortterm rates around 2. 5 to 2. 7, so i know quite a different rate probably neutral probably as far as the fed will get in this cycle, we expect the economy to show more weakness two, three years out but over next two years, still pretty good environment. I want to get back to fed take on winding down of Balance Sheet in terms of allocating capital you sad Strong Quarter even emerging markets are clients looking internationally not just u. S. In terms of buying stocks. Every second billionaire in asia a ubs client in asia pacific, also, you saw a lot of dynamics in particular, in emerging markets that has been favorable. As rates continue to normalize emerging markets will normalize as well some Asian Pacific markets have been dynamic the issue is emergence of millionaires billionaires if you look at Technology Side asia catching up most population of the world not just asiapacific a great consumer environment foster us as financial we entermediary good place to be. In terms of the fed worried they have to wind down 4 1 2 trilliondollar Balance Sheet that is a disruption . They can make it less disruptive by saving in phasing in long period of time that is what they are doing, i think what you will see, is there is going to be a lot of treasurer in the market next 3 to 4 years i think the plan the fed is currently following, is not going to be very disruptive, we plan the fed will start buying treasurys again three years time most 10 year programs will mean in order to limit what rolls off Balance Sheet fed has to control that, being applying in particular if they want all the mortgage related stuff they might have to apply treasury three years outer going to control it in a very clear fashion, and the i think there is no uncertainty now that we have seen transition of the fed leadership that we will ski a lot of continuity in this program not going to be acceleration of that program at least we dont expect that. As formr head of the bundes bank you are comfortable. The fed has taken very dragged out steps to normalize Interest Rates this is probably an appropriate action, the one thing that for me is a question mark how will fed reekt, if there is a big Stimulus Program in past they made more if there is other stimulus quickening in might have to revisit their own that is something very early to say because we dont know the program. Maria really, really good point quick on bitcoin any plans for Bitcoin Trading at ubs. No, we dont, and we absolutely phenomena very cautious want clients unlike currency nobody controls supply for me it is not a currency, for me it is an investment, and it is an investment, that has no Intrinsic Value a transaction defies the people have for quash look at it as value or investment, extraordinary what is happening. I think it is a massive journey i wouldnt excluded that more frequent there could be sporadic moves actually market great to see you chairman ubs. We will be right back. Maria welcome back sears reporting results 24 straight quarters of falling, on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange good morning to you. Good morning, maria. So we talk about sears kmart under umbrella under pressure up arrow today up, at 536 that is a 27 gain, this is because, a few reasons, but you have to remember this has been a real laggard last year, the big picture here, is that overall, narrowed loss 200 million right in line, they have been using real estate to cut debt the light at the tunnel into Specialty Stores Sears Appliance mattresses car services what they are touting as you noted three years, every quarter for the past three ulteriors they have seen falling sales take a look art American Airlines oh, my goodness a glitch this is unbelievable, 15,000 air travelers particular flights during december 17 through december 31 dont have pilots glitch supposed to be by seniority American Airlines has to try to get these booked last but not least amazon pushing echo alexa into the workplace trying to have you book Conference Rooms using echo every condition, rook there is a lowest skepticism apparently sleeping until you call her name not sending stuff to the cloud that is whether or not will trans form that into the office, thank you.
