It does not necessarily surprise me that we have not really heard anything public on the critical issue of the xi jinping and trump meetings. I think it is entirely possible that they have made some progress but they do not want to state it publicly. It is also possible they did not make any progress at all. But the point that trump had to make to xi jinping is that we can neither solve the problem together now or we can the United States will be faced with the difficult decision of solving it on our own quite possibly militarily. And yet if you looked at south korea before the visit, the new president of south korea, the new government which is leftleaning basically agreed with china to not deploy new antimissile batteries in the peninsula in the future and was a chinese demand. I think the best news about south korea is that it is politically very divided. There is an election for congress and most of those congressmen, the ones in blue states are going to have to think about what piece of the pie they are taking away from constituents and i think the issue of dating and local deductions will be a big problem in the house. We are in favor of the deduction as a matter of moving the deduction as a matter of economic policy. Yes but if you listen to these congressman issa youre creating winners and losers. They keep talking about finding ways to pay for it instead of talking about the growth effect of actually lessening the burden. No. There is a shortterm issue for virginia and a longterm issue. The longterm issue is that virginia is no longer the northernmost state that is now the southernmost northeastern state. So there are changes in the state that over the long haul which have been better republicans. But in this election, this was all about President Trump. The democrats made about President Trump and then and gillespie had to carry that and he ran above the favorability rating but the rating was too low to allow the gravitational dark old or black holes. Was a signal for the republicans running in 2018 . Because i know from talking to most of them are saying well. What do they have to do to do that . Is one good piece of news out of this which is that most Democratic Candidates next youre not going to be like ralph he contemplated running as a republican candidate when he entered politics. Represented a relatively conservative part of the state, a republican part of the state, the tidewater, Virginia Beach and chesapeake.
