Ambassador Hanover and Ahundreddollarbill, both sent off at 1-9, did not disappoint in their respective $74,500 New York Sire Stakes events for three-year-old colt and gelding trotters on Tuesday night at Yonkers Raceway.
Coming off a runner-up finish in the MGM Yonkers Trot final back on July 2, Ambassador Hanover, driven by trainer Ake Svanstedt, went to the lead from post four, posted fractions of :28.3, :58.3, and 1:27.4, and sprinted a last quarter in :27.4 to win by 4-3/4 lengths in 1:55.3. Credit Con (Scott Zeron) got up for second after going first-over from third on the last turn, and Steel (Andy Miller) was third after a pocket trip. Sevenshadesofgrey (George Brennan) and Dees Red Delicious (Corey Callahan) rounded out the order.
