Father Ted star Rynagh O'Grady who played legendary Mary O'Leary passes away as tributes paid

TRIBUTES have been paid to Father Ted star Rynagh O'Grady who has sadly died.
The Dublin actress was best known for her iconic role as Mary'Leary from Craggy Island.

Alongside Patrick Drury, who played her husband John, the pair formed one of the most hilarious couples in television history.
Ryanagh, who was in her late 60s, also appeared in numerous productions in the Abbey Theatre throughout her lengthy career.
Paying tribute, the Abbey Theatre said in a statement: "We were deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of our beloved friend and colleague Rynagh O’Grady. We are thinking of her family and all who loved her.
