CONCAN, Texas — A woman was struck and killed by a car early on Easter morning in Concan, and the Uvalde County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
Precinct 6 Constable Emmanuel Zamora said in a Facebook post that shortly after midnight, a woman was hit by a vehicle at the Heartstone subdivision. EMS crews performed life-saving efforts, but the victim did not survive.
UCSO said on their Facebook Sunday evening that after two men left a home, the driver hit the victim and fled the scene. They said he remains at large, and will face criminal charges.
