The victim of a fatal crash near Glencoe has been identified as a young newlywed from Buffalo.
Whitney Nelson, 23, died after a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday evening northeast of Glencoe. Nelson and her husband Nate had recently celebrated their six-month wedding anniversary.
The crash occurred near the area of 120th Street and Dairy Avenue, according to the McLeod County Sheriff’s Department.
A GoFundMe set up to raise money for Nate has far surpassed its goal of $2,000 with $31,000 on Friday morning. Money raised will go to funeral costs and other expenses.
