“We need to make sure that we get this right," he said.
The district's current superintendent, Robert Herrera, resigned in November after less than two years on the job. At a meeting on Jan. 5, the school board appointed Bobbie Goodrum, the district's assistant superintendent of diversity, equity and inclusion, to serve in an interim role until a more permanent replacement is found.
“We’re looking for the best, and what that means to me is someone who will see the great things Farmington has to offer and is able to hype them up," Rich said. "They should be our district’s greatest cheerleader, essentially, while at the same time being able to lead our district forward.”
