Magnolia’s Farmers Bank & Trust expanded its Texas branch network into Paris.
The $1.8 billion-asset lender set up shop in a location formerly owned by Texar Credit Union of Texarkana, Texas. The office is No. 5 in the Lone Star State for Farmers.
The move brings an Arkansas flavor to the $1.2 billion-deposit market in Paris, where the competitive field featured an all-Texas lineup of five banks with 10 branches.
Farmers Bank & Trust, supported by a staff of 282, recorded a nearly $22 million profit last year.
