FARGO — An attempt by Fargo City Commissioner Tony Gehrig to allow snowmobile riding within city limits was defeated on a 3-2 vote this past week.
Gehrig said he especially didn't like the fine that was attached to the snowmobile law. Anyone riding a snowmobile in Fargo city limits faces a possible 30 days in jail and $1,500 fine as part of a Class B misdemeanor classification, the highest level of crime a city can invoke.
