FARGO — Who can forget the pandemic surge that was last fall in Fargo-Moorhead. WDAY News visited COVID-19 units. There they saw 30 people on ventilators and dozens more on the covid floor at Sanford Health. By spring and summer, the numbers plummeted as people began taking the vaccine, but now hospital beds in the covid units are filling once again.
"It is telling us that what we were expecting, is is exactly how it's turning out to be," said Sanford Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Avish Nagpal.
