Sussanne Khan's sister, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali, revealed in an Instagram post that she and her husband DJ Aqeel separated almost a decade ago. In her post, Farah added that she decided to announce their separation with an official statement now "so that the ones who know us accept our situation gracefully." Describing their relationship status as "happily separated", Farah added that their kids - daughter Fizaa and son Azaan - have "accepted" that Farah and Aqeel are no longer a couple but just "best friends." Farah and Aqeel got married in 1999 and according to their statement, must have parted ways sometime in 2012. Farah's post also highlighted that their separation was a mutual decision and that "there wasn't any third person involved." On his Instagram, Aqeel also shared a similar statement about their separation.
