Family of slain El Monte officer sues Dist. Atty. George Gascón, agency

The family of an El Monte police officer who was shot and killed at a motel last year is suing the Los Angeles County Probation Department and Dist. Atty. George Gascón, alleging both committed errors that set the stage for two officers' deaths at the hands of Justin Flores.
