False CIB report, loan anomalies: BB upholds penalties for Agrani Bank

The Bangladesh Bank in its board meeting on Monday decided not to consider the two applications of Agrani Bank that sought an exemption from penalties slapped on the bank because of its submission of a false report to the Credit Information Bureau (CIB) and anomalies in lending to Dolly Construction.  The central bank earlier fined the bank Tk5 lakh for concealing loan
