I may have been going at an unathletic snail’s pace as I approached the curve, but I still ended up frantically righting my mountain bike while furiously looking around. “Please, nobody see me right now,” I pleaded. Attempting hairpin curves on a downwards mountain biking trail as a novice might be one of the more humbling things I’ve done of late.But it was on a trip full of humbling experiences.
