FALL RIVER — A New York-based fashion designer with roots in Fall River will be in Providence this weekend with a pop-up store to celebrate the launch of his first-ever fashion line.
Jeremy Lavoie, a Fall River native and 2008 graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, is the designer mind behind J.L. Creative Studios, a label that formally launches in June with a spring collection. The first collection will include clothes like sweaters, shirts, socks and sweat suits along with accessories including stickers and custom canvas basketballs.
Lavoie said he wanted to give people from where he grew up a first chance to explore his fashion line. So this Saturday, May 1, he'll be setting up a temporary store across the state line in Providence.
