Police have issued an international warning that fake negative Covid test certificates are being sold by criminal gangs for as little as £35 to enable people to travel and circumvent checks.
Europol said scammers are producing and selling fake negative coronavirus test certificates in airports, stations and online around Europe in the latest example of opportunistic coronavirus-related crime.
They enable people to travel without having to undergo tests at established clinics and can be bought as part of an illegal travel agency service that also provides air tickets bought with stolen credit cards.
