RECENTLY I visited my hometown located in Khairpur Mir’s. During my stay, I visited different talukas/tehsils, villages, towns and markets from where I bought quite a few items. Later, I realised that every product that I had bought was either fake or contaminated and was harmful. Moreover, all these products were being sold at the price of the genuine products.
The mafia of traders deliberately targets underprivileged rural areas of Sindh because most of the locals are uneducated farmers and there is no system of checks and balances to ensure the quality of the products being sold.
All the relevant departments should look into the matter and take stern action against the culprits.
