Over 25,000 fair price shop (FPS) dealers from the state have joined a nationwide indefinite 'ration bandh' strike. The strike is in protest against the Centre's failure to ensure a minimum monthly income guarantee for the dealers among other issues. The strike might impact over 65 lakh beneficiaries covered under national and state food security schemes in Jharkhand.
