The image is doctored from a hoodie advertisement that TinEye search engine shows has been online since 2014.
Customers can see the same boy model the same hoodie in different colors on websites like Gear One and Amazon.
H&M confirms the photo is fake 
H&M said the advertisement is fake and stressed the company's commitment to inclusion and diversity in an email statement to USA TODAY.
"As a global company, a very important part of our success is contributed by the diversity of our teams and our ability to understand and meet our diverse customers where they are, on their terms," H&M Group Head of Inclusions & Diversity Annie Wu said. "Clear goals together with constant learning and listening is absolutely key to staying relevant and to reflect the multicultural world of our colleagues, customers and communities we serve.”
