Could Palmerston North’s prime sports venue offer more to the city as a housing development?
This includes enabling city growth through intensification rather than urban sprawl, requiring environmentally sensitive design in buildings and public space; supporting use of electric vehicles and active transport; promoting and creating renewable, clean energy; and actively pursuing new and sustainable economies that have low impact on our environment.
With a bit of time on my hands I had a look through the nitty gritty. There’s lots of good stuff, aimed at making Palmerston North a good place to live in the future.
One of the appealing items on the to-do list was money set aside for new “noise measuring equipment”. This equipment is used to monitor noise levels in response to complaints.
