ORANGE COUNTY, CA — The United States Postal Service Friday announced the removal of mailboxes across the Southland as a precaution taken amid the threat of extremist violence leading up to Inauguration Day.
Without specifying the threat, the postal service announced plans to remove more than a dozen collection mailboxes in Los Angeles and Orange counties for security reasons amid threats of potential for violence surrounding next week's inauguration of President-Elect Joe Biden.Specifically, three mailboxes will be removed in Huntington Beach, a region of Orange County with a history of white supremacist violence.
