EXTRA street lighting is set to be installed along a road in Leigh in a bid to make people safer and act as a deterrent for anti-social behaviour.
Dawlish Drive is set to benefit from the additional lighting after money was put aside in the budget to cover the costs to fill in gaps along the road where street lighting is limited.
The move comes just days after the council confirmed extra CCTV would be installed along Elm Road near The Elms pub in a bid to crack down on drug dealing and people urinating in the streets after leaving the pub.
