Extinction Rebellion protesters 'risk their lives' to block major Nottingham roads
'It's incredibly brave and very moving'
Climate activists are blocking roads across Nottinghamshire in protest at "the Government's inaction".
At 11am, sitting alone in the road, four critical junctions were blocked by residents expressing their fears about the lack of urgent climate action on the second anniversary of the Government declaring a Climate Emergency.
They were seen in Upper Parliament Street and Wheeler Gate, as well as in West Bridgford and Mapperley
A spokesperson for Extinction Rebellion said: "Risking their lives, Pippa MacKeith a retired midwife, Jack Horner, Business Analyst, Picture-framer Tracy Neale, and Senior Animator Bertram Kemmler, stopped traffic in the town centre, West Bridgford and Mapperley."
