Today, Dell Technologies Inc. launched Dell EMC PowerProtect Backup Service powered by Druva Inc. to address the need for native data protection without adding new layers of complexity for IT administrators.
“Only a couple of years ago, our focus was very much on on-premises data protection, but over the last couple of years, more workloads have shifted to the cloud and customers have started adopting SaaS applications,” said Rob Emsley (pictured, right), director of product marketing at Dell. “When it comes to protecting yourself from accidental deletion, protecting yourself from cyberthreats and cybercrime that may infect your data through malicious acts, that’s really where you need to supplement the environment the cloud providers provide you with best-in-class data protection solutions.”
