Muse’s Expeditions Plus One series continues with trumpeter Adam Chasnow!
After taking 25 years off, Adam Chasnow was inspired to again play the trumpet a few years ago when his son started playing the instrument in school band. After a year or so of shedding, he started sitting in at Brad Goode’s jam sessions at The Muse and then joined the Colorado Conservatory for the Jazz Arts Adult Jazz Combo program. Playing the trumpet again has helped him find balance, forge musical connections with his kids and survive the pandemic. His taste in music is pretty simple: if it’s Kenny Dorham, Blue Mitchell, Freddie Hubbard or Tom Harrell, he’s good.
