Less than two weeks ahead of Legislative Council elections in Hong Kong, the Global Times reporters Chen Qingqing and Bai Yunyi (GT) had an exclusive interview with Carrie Lam, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, to look back on her experience in governing Hong Kong, especially during the most difficult period in 2019 amid social turmoil, how she sees the implementation of the national security law for Hong Kong, and how electoral reform has changed the landscape of political life and helped bring back social stability.
