“A lot have been said about it, but it’s truly sad that such scenes still happen in this day and age,” Tarlac Rep. Victor Yap said Tuesday.
Yap, chairman of the House Committee on Information and Communications Technology, was referring to the fatal shooting of Police Master Sgt. Jonel Nuezca of Sonya Rufino Gregorio, 52, and her son, Frank Anthony Rufino Gregorio, 25.
Nuezca, 46, was accosting the unarmed victims over a petty argument regarding the use of “boga”(improvised noise-making cannon) when the cop suddenly pulled out a handgun and shot both Gregorios in the head twice. The entire incident, which took place in broad daylight in Paniqui in the first district Sunday, was caught on video.
