Ex-Sioux Falls Police officer faces misdemeanor charge in squad car assault case

The South Dakota Attorney General's Office said they will seek a single misdemeanor charge of simple assault against Joseph Larson, who is accused of forcefully pushing a handcuffed man in the groin while attempting to secure him in the back of his squad car. The Sioux Falls Mayor says Larson is no longer with the force.
