EWU athletic director writes letter in support of downtown stadium

SPOKANE, Wash. — Eastern Washington University’s athletic director wrote a letter to the Spokane Public School board in support of the proposed downtown stadium, saying she would like to discuss having two university athletic programs play there. 
4 News Now obtained a copy of the letter from Lynn Hickey through a public records request.
In it, Hickey referenced her time in San Antonio, Texas, saying she saw the utilization of a public sports venue as a “tremendous asset not only to the city and professional sports, but also for both secondary and collegiate sports programs.”
