EVMS, ODU and Sentara sign agreement on joint future, with goal for new academic health center

Discussions about a possible merger between ODU and EVMS have been fraught in recent years. On Friday, Sentara CEO Howard Kern said officials were able to overcome the conflicts by focusing on the community’s needs for workforce development and improved health outcomes.
