A petition that would put a wrench in Eureka’s plans to change downtown parking lots into housing began circulation earlier this week. The recently formed group “Eureka Housing for All” that created the petition sent notice Tuesday that the text has been changed to exempt a Dishgamu Humboldt Community Land Trust project from the petition, so long as the Wiyot Tribe is kept as the developer.
