And Friday they will be recognized for their efforts by ESPN and Special Olympics.
“This celebration means to the school is like a gift, a gift makes me proud and happy,” Tommy Conner, a student, said.
“It feels amazing because Postlethwait made it a priority to emphasize inclusion and to show care, kindness, and respect,” Sydney Lewis, a student, said.
“We’ve been successful in including everyone in our school, no matter what their differences may be,” Alanah Demko, a student, said.
I’m told in 2018, Postlethwait started the process of becoming a Special Olympics Unified Champion School, which brings students with and without disabilities together.
