Australian economic data continues to be stunning – at least at a macro level – and with March’s impressive 5.6 per cent unemployment rate, it might be time to ditch “recovery” speak for “expansion”.
As JobKeeper has rolled off, Australia needs to turn its focus to different forms of fiscal stimulus and be smarter about exactly how we springboard the economy into future growth.
