Engine 1 to the rescue: Lowell Fire Department receives first of 8 new engines, 10 support vehicles

LOWELL — JFK Plaza behind City Hall was a hub of activity Tuesday afternoon. A bright red fire truck was on display, the first of eight engines purchased through $10 million in American Rescue Plan Act money the City Council allocated to the Fire Department.
