ENFIELD â Cars honked, parents waved and children screamed with excitement as Santa Claus made his way through town Wednesday night.
Lifelong Enfield resident David âDJâ Tuttle Jr., 40, who graduated from Fermi High School in 1999 and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy before becoming a judicial marshal, dressed up as St. Nick and traveled in his âsleighâ to bring treats and holiday cheer to kids at about 40 homes in town.
His âsleighâ was his gray 2010 Chevy Silverado pickup truck decorated with multi-colored holiday lights and outfitted with a speaker to continually broadcast 100 Christmas carols via Bluetooth during the ride. His friend, Pete Devine, was behind the wheel so Tuttle, in full Santa regalia, could ride in the bed of the truck on the journey.
