In March 2020 the tables were cleared, the dishes and the lights went out for the last time at the Candlelight Restaurant.
After 55 years of good food, great entertainment and warm hospitality, one of Huron County’s longest running and most iconic dining establishments closed its doors for the last time.

The Candlelight, originally known as the Pizza Patio, was opened in June 1965. Located at the south end of Goderich on Highway 21, the Pizza Patio drew in not only the local population but also travellers and vacationers looking for “a fine place to dine.”
