Encounter specialist Daya Nayak challenges transfer; order stayed

Daya Nayak informed that the
Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT) has stayed his transfer which was announced a few days ago.
Nayak, who has around 80 encounters to his credit, headed the Juhu unit of the
Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (
ATS) in
Maharashtra and posted with the District Caste Certificate Verification Committee there.
Nayak had moved the MAT challenging his transfer order, post which it was stayed.
However, no official statement has been released by the state authorities yet.
It is to be noted that Nayak was a part of the ATS team which probed the sensational case of the explosives-laden SUV found outside
