An attorney and trade unionists are reinforcing that employers cannot force their staff to take the COVID-19 vaccine or even disclose if they have been inoculated.
However, not everyone was on the same page regarding whether individuals should be given incentives to take the jab.
Those were some of the positions taken yesterday during the Human Resource Management Association of Barbados’ (HRMAB) panel discussion entitled
Jabs For Jobs: Legality Of COVID-19 Vaccinations For Employment.
General secretary of Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB), Dennis DePeiza; legal officer at the Barbados Workers’ Union, Kamisha Benjamin; and attorney Michael Koeiman were part of the panel. HRMAB president Brittany Brathwaite was moderator.
