Emma Land will study effects of emerald ash borer on forests

She worked her way through Patrick Henry High, then Virginia Western Community College, and then Roanoke College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree this year. Soon, she’s headed to the University of Georgia, where she’ll study the declining ash population in American forests.
