MANILA, 18th April, 2022 (WAM) -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) reported on Monday increased damage and losses to the agricultural sector amounting to PHP725.2 million in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Agaton's onslaught. According to the Philippine News Agency, the latest bulletin showed it has affected 19,424 farmers so far, particularly in Western and Eastern Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, Soccsksargen, and Caraga, with 17,925 hectares of agricultural lands damaged.
