Emerge's Pop-up Show + Block Party
Head out to Coeur d’Alene this weekend for Emerge’s eighth annual Pop-Up show, featuring local artists of all trades, from fine art to film to performance. Each year the show’s been held, it’s become increasingly popular, growing into a role as a true community staple and a great chance to get a taste of the local art scene. In addition to the main show, there’s a ticketed pre-party the night before (July 22, 6-9 pm; $25) to meet the artists and get a sneak peek. The event is also a fundraiser for Emerge, which works to provide low-cost and free arts education to community members. Funds raised will go toward materials for art classes and the cost of monthly exhibits. This year’s Pop-Up show includes visual art displays and interactive art spaces, dance, and movement performances, music from local musicians, a silent disco, and poetry readings. There will also be food, drinks and vendors at the event, so head out for the evening to get immersed in emerging local art.
