The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has presented purported evidence of overvoting to the press to support its claim that Akufo-Addo’s victory in the general election was not legitimate.
Its National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, said an audit of the pink sheets, provided further confirms that President Akufo-Addo was allegedly aided by the Electoral Commission (EC) to win the election.
He said several ballot boxes in NPP strongholds were stuffed with thumb printed ballot papers for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate.
Mr. Gyamfi described it as “Naked thievery” and cited a Sunyani West polling station at the SDA primary school where he says 468 ballots were issued and total votes cast were 466 but 49 persons were on the register in the polling station.
