EDITORIAL:
Sadly, fiddle player extraordinaire Colleen Trenwith has died. Well-known as a member of Hamilton County Bluegrass Band, of late she was in Tennessee teaching bluegrass to the Americans. Midweek was fortunate enough to interview her in 2011 at the home of Lynn and Arthur Stokes in Wanganui East and we talked about her career and her job teaching in the Bluegrass and Old Time music programme at Tennessee State University.
New Zealand has lost a real talent and a quiet, unassuming achiever. Colleen Trenwith died on January 24 at Waikato Hospital after a short illness.
