In greeting readers, he writes that, while taking on a “precious legacy and demanding responsibility”, the agency “will continue to inform you and reflect upon Asia”, a multifaceted continent, “with great loyalty to the Catholic Church of which we are a part, and which we wish to serve. We believe in the Gospel of peace, God's great gift to the peoples of Asia.”
