Edgerton fire district to explore possibility of others joining

Edgerton Fire District staff will explore the possibility of the town of Milton joining the Edgerton Fire Protection District. Staff will also look at options for covering towns currently under contract with the Milton Fire Department.
The district board on Thursday gave approval for those moves and appointed President John Sherman to represent the board in discussions.
Representatives from the town of Milton and three of the four towns—Harmony and Johnstown in Rock County and Koshkonong in Jefferson County—that contract with the Milton Fire Department were at the meeting at the fire district’s headquarters in Edgerton. A representative from the town of Lima was not present.
